Hahahah, as a Serb in America, I can say we can definitely NOT live without Plazma in the house!
Never even heard of it before! lmao
SAME, I’m a serb living in Canada and we have Plazma with EuroCrem in our house
I thought Serbians hate America.
@@polishherowitoldpilecki5521 We hate USA foreign policy not the country or people
its amazing that a lot of words in serbian are exactly the same as in russian
Because Serbs and Russian are the same
Lots of love from Greece
Greetings from Russia! Awesome! I should never have thought, that our languages have so much in common! When watching this video I discovered a great many of words, no, roots, that exist in Russian. Futhermore phonetic features (I mean the way of pronunciation, the way of articulation) of Serbians resemble Russian's ones. I think that it won't be difficult for Serbian to learn Russian (and vice versa) and speak it fluently without an accent!)))
Иван Макаров русский и сербский языки славянской группы, конечно они во многом похожи.
Our languages are very similar, in middle montenegro you can find many russian phrases and words that people use becouse that part was free of ottoman rule.
We learn russian in schools, so many of us know to speak Russian a little. For me (I've been learning Russian since I was 11) the hardest thing about Russian is to pronounce some letters that we don't have(ы for example), and grammar is similar but have many differences.

Nowadays, I'm learning Russian and even with that little knowledge I found a lot of similarities an common words. Who knows, may be after Russian I will learn Serbian or Polish ;)

Лепо је видети и српски језик на овом каналу, а такође и наше ћирилично писмо у титлу. Морамо се трудити да што више очувамо наш идентитет. :-)
It's nice to see our Serbian language on this channel, as well as our traditional, Cyrillic alphabet in the subtitles, instead of the Latin one. We have to work on preserving our identity. :-)
p3r0uE I agree! Slavic languages need the Cyrillic alphabet. It fits the languages. Look at written Polish, it's a nightmare to read. Привет из России! 🇷🇺
I'm from French,We don't speak any other language if we don't must...Serbian language is most beautiful in the world and Serbian peoples must saved Serbian language and speak Serbian language in every time...big love ❤

A person who made me learn something about this language is Miloš Biković.
Pleskavica, muzika, ljudi :)
Fascinating. Sounds like Russian but spoken in Norwegian.
Is this available on the new website?
More Serbian please :)
Would learning Russian before Serbian help?
Michael Brigola i think yes, it would
Bogdan V thank you :)
Michael Brigola *knowing* Russian before Serbian would of course help. But *learning* Russian before Serbian if all you want to learn is Serbian... that's just silly :D
Miloš Spasojević I don't want to just learn Serbian. I am currently studying Russian independently and French in school. I would like to see what languages I can hop over to later on. :)
Michael Brigola sure, that makes sense, of course. Enjoy, best of luck with your studies :)
If one would learn Russian first, would that make learning Serbian significantly easier? I mean, I like the language but the resources are few and far between.
Yes, if you learn Russian you can learn Serbian easy, and if you learn Serbian you can learn Russian. Our languages are very connected. But Serbian pronunciation is much easier :)
travelling to guca in a few days. :D
Easy? You have to be joking. This is scaring the stuffing out of me - and it's only the first lesson.
Hi, guys. Is it possible to learn Serbian using books published say in 1880's or 1920's?
Yes...
Yes, but why?
Hej, strava!

I don't know Cyrillic :'(
Thank you for the effort.. but why are you telling people to express themselves in 3 words or less? the point of this is for us to hear natives express themselves in a natural way. This 3 word limitation is not helpful at all.

If the other countries have to describe them, they would not know how to... Greetings from Romania!
Serbia in 3 words:
Kosovo is Serbia!

Einige Leute behaupten, dass der Typ auf der Straße immer noch redet... richtiger Wasserfall. 😂
If you keep pronouncing all the vowels while speaking Russian, it becomes 70% Ukrainian, 80% Bulgarian or 90% Serbo-Croat-Bosnian.
Serbian*
Serbian is almost like Croatian and bosnian, they're quite similar
Bj Gas Before the Yugoslav Wars, all those "languages" were a part of the Serbo-Croatian language. There's not that many differences when it comes to the vocabulary of Serbian, Montenegrin, Bosnian, and Croatian, and the reason why they exist as separate languages are only due to politics. The biggest differences is that most people in Serbia use the ekavian dialect (_екавица / ekavica_), while most people in Montenegro, Bosnia, and Croatia speak the ijekavian dialect (ијекавица / ijekavica). Where I come from (Western Serbia), both ekavian, and ijekavian dialects are used. Some people mix the two, so, for an example, they'd say a sentence which has words from both dialects in them. So, the difference isn't really ethnic, it's just regional. Here's a few examples of the two dialects:
English: time, milk, where, here, pretty, white.
Ekavian Latin: vreme, mleko, gde, ovde, lepo, belo.
Ijekavian Latin: vrijeme, mlijeko, gdje, ovdje, lijepo, bijelo.
Ekavian Cyrillic: време, млеко, где, овде, лепо, бело.
Ijekavian Cyrillic: вријеме, млијеко, гдје, овдје, лијепо, бијело
P.S. - J's make the English "y" sound.
@@p3r0uE beautifully described , you should make videos with nice clear description like this ☺️
