I love how this video perfectly showcases the intricacies of childhood - I really don't know how intentional it is, but I think there is an art to how emotional you can make people whilst still acting so profoundly stupid and comedic. I think that this video, paired with the musical score really makes me think about how we grow in so many ways and yet, still remain the same. We will always be the kid who can do *this* or the kid who talks about dinosaurs, or the kid who wears the fedora. And I think there is a beauty to how far you can go, and still be that person. And you will die, still being that person. but *this* never dies. :)))

I was the bird-noise kid, but I could never get the blade of grass trick to work, one time I tried so hard that I ran out of breath, out of desperation of air I sucked in a huge breath along with the blade of grass.

Based on how everyone at the funeral was introduced by their own gimmicks ("The kid who can do the thing with his eye-lids", "the kid who could do the thing with the blade of grass", etc), I took it to signify that this video takes place in a society where people are primarily known by their gimmick.
There was such a missed opportunity. Calvin's best friend should have been named Hobbes.

@@Meuhy well first, depending on the scene, you might have to remove the green screen image by image, in others you can get the majority of it via rotoscoping programs, then you have to put both the clean and the rotoscoped videos on top of each other, making sure the overlapping fits right. then you have to render that scene in its complete form, and before all that while filming you have to make sure lighting and everything in the environment matches the original, if one really is using a greenscreen.
