I literally had an argument with it over the fact that it said it was allowed to write about gay characters, but wasn't allowed to write about male characters who were attracted to other men.

I think if ChatGPT turns down one request for whatever reason, it's more likely to turn down the next requests, so it's better to refresh. I don't know why. I was trying to do the most absurd role play with it and it turned the request down, so I said "okay well then do the same thing but without this" and it just wouldn't do it. I refreshed and asked the exact same thing and it was like "sure no problem"
