Ingredients
3/4 cup unsalted butter softened to room temperature (170g)
3 oz cream cheese softened to room temperature (85g)
3/4 cup granulated sugar 150g
1/3 cup light brown sugar firmly packed (70g)
1 large egg room temperature preferred
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour 325g
1 teaspoon cornstarch
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
12 Oreos broken into small pieces (I smash mine with a rolling pin)
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips 85g

Instructions
00:00 Introduction
00:26 In the bowl of a stand mixer or in a large bowl and using an electric hand mixer, cream together butter, cream cheese, and sugars.
01:19 Add egg and vanilla extract and beat again until well-combined.
01:57 In a separate, medium-sized bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
02:21 With mixer on low-speed, gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture. Be sure to scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl with a spatula to ensure all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
02:50 Add broken Oreos and mini chocolate chips and use a spatula to stir until well-incorporated into the batter.
04:03 Cover bowl with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
04:27 When dough has chilled and you are almost ready to bake, preheat oven to 350F (175C). Prepare cookie sheets by lining with parchment paper.
04:35 When oven is preheated, remove cookie dough from fridge and drop cookie dough by heaping 1 ½ Tablespoon-sized scoops onto baking sheet, spacing cookies at least 2” apart.
05:24 Transfer to 350F (175C) oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until cookies are just beginning to turn golden brown around the edges. Allow cookies to cool completely on baking sheet before enjoying.
Notes
Cookie dough may be refrigerated (covered) for up to 3 days.
Cookie dough may also be scooped and frozen in an airtight container. It will keep in the freezer for several months.
Cookies may need to bake for several minutes longer when baked from frozen.
Store baked cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.

I made these cookies yesterday and they are great! At first I only baked 6 to see how they would come out. For me, they really didn't flatten, so for the other batches I flattened them a little bit before I put them in the oven and it worked! Thank you for sharing!

Thank you for sharing this recipe. Actually I have grounded oreo for additional ingredient to make polvoron. The polvoron doesn't look good cause I can't mold them. I still have some left over of grounded oreo I want to use them but I didn't have idea if how many cups of oreo I will use. Hope to learn more revipe from you. God bless.
So since the oreos are not exactly vital to how the cookie turns out, I would add the crumbs to taste here. ☺

I think cake flour will work here. Your crumb will be tighter. You will need to make sure to use the proper substitution. If you are using weights you use the same weight. If you are using cups you will want to use 1 cup + 2 TBSP of cake flour for ever cup of all-purpose flour. ☺

I just made these and they are super yummy but I do have a question. I’m unsure why but my cookies didn’t melt down and remained balls when I cooked them. Any ideas how I can fix that next time will be highly appreciated 😊
O no! I'm so sorry this happened! The most likely culprit here is too much flour. If you didn't weigh your flour it's really easy to accidentally add too much. :(
I made these last night but it didn't flat so after 10 mins, I cooked it for another 5 mins only with the top heat and just pushed the cookies using a spoon so it wouldn't look like a muffin 😂 but anyway, it tastes great and amazing. I'll just lessen the flour next time to get the amazing flat cookie

Half of 3/4 tsp is 3/8 tsp. You can do 1/4 plus 1/8 tsp to get that measurement, or use your 1/8 tsp three times 🙂 I hope you love the cookies, Crystal!

Unfortunately I don't really know of a good substitute here. I have lots of other cookie recipes you could just add oreos too. :)

They aren’t going to do the same thing. I would use a little bit of extra flour instead of the cornstarch

Hi please help me hehe...are all parchment papers the same? I bought mine on a bookstore cause I can't find it in the grocery. My cookie keeps sticking to the paper.. I also tried baking it in a greased pan... should I just bake it directly to the pan?
I usually use a nonstick parchment paper. I am not sure parchment at a bookstore would be good for baking. If you don't have parchment paper just bake them directly on the pan. :)

They should not turn out cakey. :)
Why do you need to chill them? Will it be okay not to chill them?
It helps the flavors to develop and also allows them to bake properly. I wouldn’t bake without chilling. You could end up with a runny mess on your hands

I tried this recipe and i didnt know what i did wrong. I just followed the ingredients and the recipe. Dough turned out to be tough amd did not spread when baked. And the baked cookies turned out to be fluffy. It didnt have e chewy or fudgy texture very far from what i expected.

I dont know how to measure 22/3 cup of flour
It’s 325g. If you are using cups you will need 1 cup twice and then 2/3 cup. Make sure you are measuring your flour properly if not using weights

These were dry as hell, first of all way to much flour like I had to add milk to make it wet bc it was like a desert.

The most common culprit of cookies not spreading is too much flour in the dough. Did the dough seem really stiff and crumbly?

@@westan08 Hi! I'm no baker but measuring with cups is very inaccurate, and investing in a cheap digital scale would do you a LOT of good! Depending on the humidity where you live, the flour measurements can be WAY off by volume. Hope this helped :)
Alena is correct here, it is SO SO easy to over measure flour. I actually have a video on how to properly measure flour: m.czcams.com/video/0X2qvAH8Bn8/video.html My personal recommendation is to buy a little scale, you can get one from Amazon pretty cheaply. It saves you a lot of dishes too. 😊
