RECIPE:
Cream Cheese Filling:
6 oz cream cheese
1/4 cup powdered sugar
Cookies:
1 cup softened butter (226g)
3/4 cup white sugar (150g)
1/4 cup brown sugar (50g)
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract (teaspoon)
1tsp baking soda (teaspoon)
1/4 tsp salt (1.5g)
2 3/4 cup all-purpose flour (335g)
1/2 cup fresh (small diced) strawberries (85g)

0:05 Mix cream cheese and sugar for filling

1:17 mix flour, baking soda and salt

4:23 scoop out dough on baking sheet, freeze

You could also add some dried or freeze-dried strawberries, powdered maybe, or small pieces, they might have more flavor than fresh...You could also try adding a mashed banana to the dough, and like someone said below, maybe white chocolate chips, or just chocolate...Also, if you like coconut, maybe you could replace some of the butter with coconut cream, but i don't know how it would turn out...🎄

It does work! Just make sure to leave them to cool for a while, and don’t add to much jam or it’ll overflow

Well, mine never make it there, 😂😂 But I have put them in a plastic box with a lid for a couple of days, not refrigerated.

Yes you can
Does it matter if the bown sugar is light or dark??
It does not matter. I have used both. It is really a matter of taste. Dark brown sugar has more molasses in it and therefore gives it a more caramel like taste 😁

I tried this exact recipe, but subtracted 1/2 a stick of butter. The dough still came out quite sticky. Impossible to mold them into the cream cheese holders that you did here unless more flour is added. Not sure what went wrong on my end.
Might want to put cookie dough in fridge for 30 min or freeze for 10 min.

Parchment paper would work and you can use it to bake cookies .
