All the neighbors are asking for the recipe! This summer's most popular dessert!
These Blueberry Streusel Muffins are made with Sourdough Discard. They are melting in your mouth! Very moist and fruity inside. You can make them with any of your favorite fruits. Blueberry, Raspberry, Blackberry, Strawberry - fresh or frozen.
Here is what you need:
Streusel Topping:
80g sugar
30g flour
30g soft butter
30g chopped nuts (any of your favorites)
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
pre-heat oven to 450°F
Batter:
300g all purpose white flour
4g baking soda (1/2 teaspoon)
3 g salt (1/2 teaspoon)
zest of 1 lemon
mix together
in another bowl mix:
110g unsalted butter, melted and cooled (1/2 cup)
150g sugar
2 eggs
200g sourdough discard or starter
60g plain yogurt
juice of 1 lemon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1-2 cups fresh or frozen berries
• combine with dry ingredients
• fill muffin cups
• top with streusel mix
• turn oven down to 425°F and bake 20-25 minutes

What if o don’t have olive oil
You can use any oil
While I appreciate the time and effort you put into making this video you should never do this again. It’s annoying and frustrating. No one knows what the white blob you put into the egg mixture is. Was it yogurt? Egg whites? What? Smh

I dont know if my egg went bad but that was the most god-awful thing I have ever put in my mouth. Used the exact measurements and all I could taste was olive oil and something isnt quite right with the egg

No you cannot make mascaporne with whipping cream,both are two different things, you can either use heavy cream or fresh cream according to your availability

Yes, you place the lid on the pot and simmer. If the jars seal, store in a cool dark place for up to 18 months without the rings on. If a seal goes bad, you'll know it that way, with the ring on it can create a false seal. Also, don't stack jars on top of each other when storing. If a jar doesn't seal, or you open one, they can be stored in the fridge for a few days.

2 x 3/4 of flour = 1.5 cups of flour fyi
USE NEUTRAL OIL (CANOLA, SUNFLOWER) NOT OLIVE OIL. MOST OLIVE OIL TURNS BITTER IN FOOD PROCESSORS AS IT OXIDIZES RAPIDLY.

@@DebbiesKitchenCorner That's what I made mine with. I have been researching everything I normally buy to see if I can make it at home. I am so surprised at how we have been conditioned to just buy everything and have lost the skill to make items like this. Brown sugar was the real head shaker for me. 😊
@vln222 brown sugar 🤔? Idk never tried that. Sometimes I put horseradish or mustard in it. I like to mix it up

I tried this recipe and that was the most disgusting thing I ever tasted. The oil taste is horrendous and made my tongue feel numb. What am I doing wrong?
It needs to stay in the fridge overnight. Also it is better to use avocado oil. Olive oil has a more intense flavor.

No. You can substitute tapioca starch/flour (same thing) for corn starch.

This doesn’t work - too much oil and the taste is awful
You have to let it sit for 24 hours. It takes a while to develop the flavor. Also avocado oil is better for taste
With fresh strawberries how long do they stat fresh

You need an immersion blender and a very narrow container

Ok just made this for homemade coleslaw (finely chopped via a food processor). I did 2 (very small) eggs, 1&3/4 c of canola oil, 1 tsp of salt, I think a tbsp of Dijon mustard, undetermined amount of apple cider vinegar (maybe a tbsp? I’m a dukes fans, so I like the AC vinegar), half a very small lemon, paprika. For the coleslaw, it needed a lot more salt. Also, couldn’t find my hand blender cup thingy, so I used a Pyrex 2 cup glass measuring cup and it worked perfect.
Yummy I got to try it
May I ask what is the tool use to mix?
