It uses a white cake mix and includes a homemade pastry cream filling with raspberry jam. In this video, we will show you how to make Swedish Princess Cake at home. This is cake is very easy to make and requires very few ingredients. I will show you step by step how to make this princess cake from scratch including the cream filling, the cake and the green marzipan fondant. The resulting cake is magnificent with a smooth and beautiful green marzipan exterior. It is as delicious as it is attractive. This is a perfect cake to make for birthdays, celebrations, or any special occasion.

    Ingredients:
    Custard Cream:
    4 egg yolks
    1/3 cup sugar
    1/4 cup cornstarch
    400 ml hot milk
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    Sponge:
    4 eggs
    2/3 cup of sugar
    1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
    1 cup of flour
    1/3 cup of cornstarch
    1 tablespoon of milk
    (I used 6" cake pan in my recipe)
    Diplomat Cream:
    200 ml whipping cream
    1 cup of custard cream (from the one we made)
    1/2 glass raspberry jam for first layer
    Custard cream 2nd layer
    Diplomat Cream 3rd layer
    Marzipan Cover/Fondant:
    2.5 cups of Almond Flour
    1 cup powdered sugar
    5 tablespoons of honey
    30 ml cold water
    green and red food color

    So sorry to tell you that marzipan is not done in this way, and it have to bee pastel green,not that dark green you have don .

      It definitely is how you make marsipan the easy way if you don´t start with the actual almonds. So Debbie you did very well. In Sweden, we can buy the marsipan cover ready-made. I do it all the time. But you did a marsipan cover as it´s supposed to be done nowadays.
