- In this video we'll be making a few pool variants, and a couple of ladders that can be used to provide access between one dungeon level and another.

Like the Blood Pool, could make a sewer pipe going down also into sewers, with the well design.
Just finished binge-watching every episode. These tutorials are fantastic mate!! Terrain is easy and simple to make (truly, can literally be sorted with a few items found lying around the house). Instructions are simple and those small pop ups you insert explaining the tid bids are life-saving. I'm off to convert my copy of HeroQuest to this tile system right now!
Thanks for the great vids!!
Not sure binge-watching was a good idea (therein lies madness :D ) ...make a sanity check!
Seriously though, glad you like the vid's, I hope you can put them (and the pdfs) to good use :)
@@CrookedStaffTerrain I sure will. GP will be well spent on your pdfs. Thanks again for the hard work. Looking forward to future videos!
Annoyed I wasn't alerted to this post by CZcams. I looked through my notifications just to make sure I hadn't accidentally missed it an nope, no there. I'll just have to manually check your page every week because I hate missing your content. Lovely work on the textures as always, I see a trip to drivethrurpg in my very near future.
I've heard folks on other channels say that CZcams is a bit weird like that - but if you un-click the bell icon, and then reactivate it, it starts to work again.
I don't know if that works or not, but like I say, I've heard a few channels suggest it :S
Bloody pool looks sick! Great video, Kriss!
Thanks :) ...hmm ...maybe I should make a 'sick' pool... ;)
Wonderful work! Simple, straightforward and it’s tempting to try out.
Thanks.
Yay! And now a podcast too!
Don't get too excited ...I'm not normally the kind of person who has a lot to say - so the podcast might not be one of my better ideas :)
It’s okay. I just like your “accent”. I’d rather your genius creations via video anyway. 😆
I never ever grow tired of hearing you say "Toothpick".... :-D Dude, you do amazing work...epic... If at some point in the future you run out of ideas, well, not so few adventures take place in egyptian like settings..so colums, hiroglyphic walls, obelisks...the whole pyramid deal
How many teeth could a toothpick pick, if a toothpick could pick teeth.
You never run out of good ideas :D Nice !
Glad you like 'em :)
Ok, just listened to your podcast, and I loved it. Hope you will do some more. I would love to hear a quick rundown of your favorite adventure - as a player or gm.
That's a relief ...I wasn't sure if folks would be that interested in hearing me ramble on about random RPG stuff (and maybe learning a bit more about me as a gamer) ...it's always a bit nerve-racking putting something like that out there :S
Thanks for this. Good, innovative stuff like always.
No probs :)
Thank you so much for these videos they are great! I just recently went to Dragonmet and came across some of your products, love them, great stuff and thanks again :)
No problem, glad you're enjoying them!
And yeah, the guys over at SquareHex attend a lot of the UK conventions ...so it's great that some of my stuff gets to go on tour with them - so to speak :) :) :)
also just listened to your podcast! It was really good! Looking forward to part 2, maybe you will tell a bit about the characters that you played.
I might touch on the type of characters I tend to play the most ...but I always worry that my gaming stories might come out a bit like this: czcams.com/video/E_Ovgnp2KXk/video.html
@@CrookedStaffTerrain but your narration is cool man, you don't overload the stories and your accent add charisma bonus!
Love the ladder idea! Great video! I'm
Cheers!
So much good stuff! It makes me want to create some cards that correspond to your textures/tiles and dust off my copy of Warhammer Quest. ⚔ 🎲 🧙♂️
:) never played WHQ ...but did play it's baby brother (HeroQuest) when I was a young lad :)
Nice! The blood filled one will come in handy in the near future.
My players will curse you, in the good kind of way ;-)
Thank you!
Glad to hear it :) :) :)
ill try out the podcast.
Most excellent.
Cheers!
@@CrookedStaffTerrain I'll be checking out the new podcast.
@@anthonyhargis6855 Thanks ...I hope it isn't too dull :S
@@CrookedStaffTerrain Well, as long as you don't say "erm" too much. ROFLMAO
I'm going to get to it right after lunch. (I'm the cook at my house)
@@anthonyhargis6855 Doh! ;)
Nice add-ons Kris. Looks like you used 2 different sized toothpicks. The cross members seem thinner than the uprights.
They should all be the same ...though I suppose there could be some variety in thickness - but not on purpose. They all came out of the same packet :)
@@CrookedStaffTerrain Guess it just looked that way to me.
@@echodelta2426 Maybe it's the angle. I've just watched it back, and I agree that the unassembled rungs do look a bit thinner.
Love you stuff CST
BTW, 1st ...lol. I had to post it just to annoy others that post that nonsense.
1st comment means nothing in real life.
Thanks :)
Playing a 7th level dwarven war cleric also doesn't mean much in real life - but it's still fun :)
Hey man awesome videos and the textures are awesome, I was wonder how would you make fences but for a cemetery?
I'd probably have to design a specific texture (so the gaps between the 'rails/spikes' would a dark colour - similar to the 'gate' in the doors episode - i.e. something like this: czcams.com/video/8CGvlSmfBHw/video.htmlsi=7OH1TssgfUK59i-K&t=120
you could just soak the Toothpick in Coffee (or real wood stain) to stain it , it is wood lol .
Yeah. But for my own builds I'm trying to go with a consistent look whenever I can (so I'm trying to avoid painting etc. in favour of paper textures - just so that everything matches). That's just me though (I'm a bit weird like that :D ).
Huh simple superglue hack!
