Looking back, it’s easy to see how smart Rich was, both in general and business wise. He built his brand so swiftly at like the perfect time in the fitness industry the new bucks won’t get it. Had assets and money from real estate and other ventures, recruited athletes to be 5%ers, bring awareness to the brand before social media was this GIANT thing it is right now… it may sound so obvious but at the time it wasn’t and it made rich seem all the more legit that all these other marketable athletes were part of the team. Very savvy.
Rich, so many people have joined the 5% since it's conception. It has got to be at least up to 6% or 7%, if not 8% by now. The more recruits you get, the percentage has to go higher. Time to reprint everything.

Everyone looks the same in my gym now thanks to you. Many of them have imaginary lat syndrome and a permanent 15 degree upwards tilt with their head. The more I see people with 5% clothing, the more I don't want to wear it. I have a hat but I don't wear it anymore, the 2nd reason is that I don't deserve to wear it. At least I'm aware of that about myself, unfortunately this a common problem I see with people in the gym. As a black man (half negro, half asian) I would have been happy to see more brothers representing the sport, but hey. I think there is a real market opportunity to sell products, designed specifically for brothers and sisters. (We have different needs that white folk because we have more muscle and less fat). Which nowadays means taking it to an extreme. That's the problem with self-fulfillment, it makes people so arrogant that they believe they're ethnocentric towards the average human being in society. They only focus on their wants and needs, continue to better suit their desires and disregard everybody else but themselves. Not a lot of people lift for passion and enjoyment anymore. Most lift to either achieve the goal of self-fulfillment or to attract and impress women and get sex. There's also a difference between wanting to be healthy and physical self-fulfillment. You don't become a complete narcissist if you want to stay healthy. Btw for those who say Arnold would be disappointed in the 5% group for using steroids, he used them too. Everybody in his era did. Look up Steve Reeves and Reg Park, those were naturals.
