- In this video, I unbox the Delta Cruzer 26-2251 Dual Bevel Sliding Miter Saw and give my initial review thoughts. This Delta miter saw features a very smooth slide operation that makes accurate cuts even when fully extended. Is this the best miter saw for woodworking? I will have a full review of the Delta Cruzer 26-2251 in the coming weeks to find out. With this miter saw you can cut 50° left miter/60° right miter capacity with 10 miter detents and positive stops. The Delta Cruzer 12 inch saw can cut at dual bevel 47° left/47° right with front bevel release and 7 positive stops at the most popular bevel angles and an easy to reach lever override to move between stops. The Delta Cruzer gen 2 saw has an integrated SHADOWLINE™ LED cut alignment system, displays a precise cut line with no demand for readjustment. This miter saw has an adjustable crown fence lock increases stacked crown capacity at 45° to 7-1/2 inches. Specs Voltage: 120V, Amps: 15A, Arbor Hole Size: 1 in., Speed (RPM): 4,000 r/min, Weight: 57lbs.

This is crazy lol I was researching miter saws all morning and was honing in on the Delta. I started watching reviews and Boom up comes your video! Michael Welch it’s a 2-1/2 car garage with tons of storage/attic/cabinets... I’m building into my outfeed table with my tablesaw, miter saw and a few table top tools like my bandsaw and planer! just came across your Chanel for this review have my own handyman business and bought this saw back in June to replace an old one. I just bought one a few weeks ago. You can’t beat the price for the features and the slide function. What’s great about the slide is it allows you to put the saw pretty flush to a wall without the need to move it away when using a traditional rail slide that most saws have. @jami w I checked it from time to time and so far I had to reset it twice, both times I moved it outside to use. I am super happy with it so far. The missing feature is a laser that I wish it had.
Guess I have the first gen saw, it is still a good one I just wish I could get the shadow line the new model has.

I love Delta saws. I have an older Delta 10 inch miter saw that I bought off of Craigslist. It's missing the blade guard and dust bag, but works great. I can't wait to get a new one like yours.

I LOVE this saw. Mine is just as butter smooth! Mine does throw quite a bit of saw dust in my face when it cuts. I don’t have a dust collection system, but may be worth while to put one in place. So happy with it even if I eat saw dust, LOL!

@@731Woodworks No. I am using the Spyder carbide tipped blade with 80 teeth. Smooth cuts every time. Even with a shop vac this thing throws some serious sawdust though.

I purchased one of these saws in January 2018. I am still using it and I am sure I have made a couple thousand cuts with it, if not more. It stays square amazingly well. I crosscut a lot of 3/4 inch birch plywood for shelving and its often 20 inches wide. I make one cut flip it over, line it up and the it finishes the cut perfectly. I really like the double bevel, and the extra angles compared to older miter saws. I cut a lot of crown as well and it does perfectly. My only complaint is that there is a little hook that locks it in from the glide position. It has two settings, one all the way back and one just a little further out. The second one sometimes becomes unhooked in the middle of a cut. That has the potential of being dangerous. I just took a file and cut the hook a bit deeper to take care of the issue. But overall it was an excellent value.
Good to know. I do wish the dust collection was a little better. It throws a lot of dust forward of the saw.

I think I’m a shop like yours, it should hold up for a long time if not forever. I wonder, though, about on a constitute carrying it around. Let us know what you think.

I have an older Cruzer and absolutely love it. I just wish that Delta would make an accessory add on for the light to fit the older version of the saw. If you could persuade Delta to do that I'm sure that many of us would purchase the upgrade.
