Spot on!

I believe his parodies are classic, and naturally outlive whatever music trends come along. He's highly intelligent with a sense of the absurd which, for lack of a better word, has deemed him "Weird Al" Yankovic. I've been a fan since his earliest days on the Dr. Demento radio show. Sunday nights on KMET? That part is a bit fuzzy, but I looked forward to hearing his newest recordings. He's really bent in the best way possible.
I can't help but laugh when ever Jack Black does anything. He's the most nimble heavy guy I've ever seen.

It was so fun. You all know who was in it… all the great celebrity friends that I’ve got… it was just amazing. At one point, Kristen Schaal turned to me and she said, “I hope we get to do this all day long.”
It was six takes. And we used the sixth take, although takes five and four and three were all great, too, it was kind of hard to… maybe at some point Nerdist will put up take five or some kind of alternate take so you can see some of the other stuff.
It was, in fact, one continuous shot… believe me, it was one continuous take. And for every single take, as soon as the camera was off me, I had to run as fast as I could down five flights of stairs (because the elevator was being used) while changing my clothes so I could hit my mark and be there at the end of the video.
Jack Black killed. If you think that was the only take that was good - every single take, he was, like, clicking his heels above his head… amazing, amazing energy. And he wouldn’t even take the elevator back up, he was, like, “No, I’m gonna jog up the stairs every time!”

This is the best comment I've ever read in all my years on CZcams
Well said man
Why does this have only 799,744 views, IT Should have more because
A:Jack Black was in it
B:Its a Parody of HAPPY
C:its a "WEIRD AL" production
Well 10 hours later it has 100,000+ views
ShortyNed yeh i just noticed
Two weeks ago it had 4 million views so I don't know what happened.
washed up is the truth
and Nerdist
What's even funnier is that he did a parody of a tacky song, and made it all about tackiness.
Gitta give Weird Al credit as a director. Not only funny, but its well-shot and technically impressive. Kudos Mr. Yankovic
00:01 - Weird Al Yankovic
00:26 - Aisha Tyler
00:50 - Margaret Cho
01:14 - Eric Stonestreet
01:39 - Kristen Schaal
02:03 - Jack Black
02:27 - Weird Al Yankovic
But who is the busty chick in the background shot of the elevator?
@@iftkhin3317 Considering the figure and that she does parody, I would not be surprised.
i thought that was kristen, i was entirely sure tho
@@iftkhin3317 Are you seriously taking credit for a youtube comment, of a list of celebrity appearances? Dishonest how really? I imagine, if this were an album, you would also be pissed if someone used your lyrics comment, or Song list? Jesus fucking Christ. Pathetic.
Kristen schaal voices Louise on bob’s burgers, right?
You haven't truly arrived as an artist until Weird Al parodies you...
I agree
Wait weird al hasn't parodied himself (dun dun dun)
A Brewton dang you beat me too it.
I know and it's amazing
Love this song
"How did you know you made it??? "When Weird Al remade my song"
Why are his versions always more catchy?
Becausa most of them are much better than the original song (an example is this one)
@@andreslopez8604 it isn't
This song made Pharrell Williams so happy, that he wrote a song about it.
you have no idea how long I've been in this comment section trying to find out what song this was parodying. Thanks for naming the artist, at least.
@@tetryst The song is Happy.
The original is Happy, written by Pharrell.
Pharrell gave Weird Al Yankovic the okay to parody it with Tacky. He also gives Pharrell royalty money every month.
@@oludotunjohnshowemimo434 parody artists don't have to pay royalties to the artist. Only time royalties are paid are if a portion of the song is used on an album with the artists permission.
I'm tired of these jokes
jack black was destined to be in a weird al video
crushers 999 ikr?
If the two made a song together the sky will break apart tis as the phrofecy predictef
A match made in heaven!
Jack Black really put his all into that preformance omg
I love Weird Al. 40 years of his videos and he still has it, and I still love it. Rock on Al Yankovic!
Over 40 years, actually.
@@sophiet1576 I stand corrected. Old age and all, you see?
"I would live-tweet a funeral, take selfies with the deceased!"
My favorite line. I shudder to think that there are really people like that.
I hear those kind of people work at a office max, they sell a lot of tacks.
There are! I've seen photos. Mainly young girls saying "Sad that grandma passed!" with a huge smile on their faces. *yikes*
Fact - these people definitely exist. And like the guy above me said, half the time they got a giant smile on their faces while they're doing it. Then, as if that weren't bad enough, there's the bathroom selfies they take at the viewing or, worse yet, afterwards at the wake, showing off their "sexy" funeral clothes. No shit. I guess it's finally the 21st century. *sigh*
Correction: like the GIRL above me said. (Sorry Beth, wasn't paying attention when I wrote that.)
+24mymelody dont assume their gender
I find it HILARIOUS that musicians (except Koolio) find it a badge of honor to be parodied by Weird Al :) Dave Grohl "When we heard Weird Al wanted to do a parody of one of our songs, that's when we knew we had made it"
Well, and even Coolio had his reasons. He thought the content of the song was too heavy for it.
Let's face facts, the only reason why Gangster's Paradise is even remotely relevant today is BECAUSE of Amish Paradise.
Gangster's Paradise was just Stevie Wonder's Pastime Paradise with different lyrics. Weird Al has out lasted a lot of the artists he has parodied.
Farmer James I meant his career has outlasted the musicians he's parodied.
Too bad he covered a Foo Fighters song that most people don't know.
Oh weird Al Thank you for being you💚💚💚
The amazing thing about this video is that it was done in ONE TAKE!
How are you doing?
This song makes me happier than the original tbh. The point when the camera cuts to Jack Black brings pure childlike joy.
This is so much better than the original!
@@andremo yes
What is the original song?
Oh I have found it. It is - Pharrell Williams
@@lorenhui Were you in a coma in 2014?
Jack Black being Jack Black, his MOVES are just EPIC
yes!!! what a guy! loved him in Bernie! Goosebumps, too!
Yea Goosebumps was totally a win, he was all stirn, serious, he really gave me, oh whats the word? Goosebumps, hahahahahaa
Their pretty "tacky" cx
On the list of things for which celebs immediately agree to do, appearing in a Weird Al video is up there with a guest spot on Sesame Street.
Laughed so hard when i saw Jack Black. He is Gold.
