I don't think the weird Al band gets enough credit. They have played parodies of every genre of popular music since the early eighties. Very talented musicians.
Absolutely. You know Al starts writing immediately when "Give It Away" comes out and is clearly a hit. He's got to get the spoofs out fast while the source material is still hot and culturally relevant. So he goes to his bassist and says "Listen, I'm writing a RHCP parody, I need you to figure out Flea's bassline, we're recording Friday." Yes that band is amazing, they have to learn and master these songs by ear very quickly.
Yep. Going from Devo, to Nirvana, his band has been absolutely solid with everything they do.....including this masterpiece! I would also draw attention to their polka versions of everything in popular culture.

It would be a crime to not use this as the theme song.
I was blown away when I discovered RHCP and learned that this is two songs mashed together.
Is it just plain wrong of me to prefer this to the RHCP song?
no i prefer this to give it away :)
No, a lot of people like a lot Weird Al's versions of songs better than the originals.
They're both brilliant.
Tonight, I am following the 3 hour long worm hole of CZcams that is know as "Weird Al Yankovich". Seeing videos I both forgot about and also some I somehow have never seen.
Did SiIva make a 'Give it away' rip?
Was the Doug Ford at 55 seconds?
He made The Flintstones relevant again.
Well you take the advice of give it away now and you’ll probably end up back in the Stone Age (developmentally speaking and also with severe case of Gonorrhoea)
I'm fairly certain that if I was inside Weird Al's mind for a moment, I would go completely insane from a combination of too much laughter and exposure to pure genius.
Do you know what the difference is between people who live in United Arab Emirates and people who live in Abu Dhabi? People in United Arab Emirates don’t like the Flintstones but the people in Abu Dhabi do!
How could there be any dislikes to a comedic genius ? Laughter is the best medicine, if you can't have a good laugh what are you going to do sit around and cry all day ? 🙊🙉🙈
Dick Van Patten appearance again is sure genius!

arlobo1 that meme is dying quicker than HARAMBE died.
Never expected you here
I remember during late 90s early 00' that a special flintstones music video was on CN.
They showed episodes cut together.
Like...did Weird Al just walk onto the RHCP film set RIGHT after they were done? This video copies it SO well!!!
I used to love this shit as a kid in the 90s. I loved the Flintstones. Now I'm 27 and showing my kids this and the Flintstones.
This perfectly parodies the caveman personna of the RHCP. I love the fact that they didn't like it. It's Al's job to puncture the pomposity of pop singers.
Al is a genius.
Rubble, trouble, caveman stubble.
The man is a modern day Shakespeare.
Original Songs: "Under The Bridge/Give It Away" by Red Hot Chili Peppers.
And with reference to one of my favourites cartoon series: The Flinstones.
Weird Al did it awesome.
It's time for Weird Al to do an all polka album, isn't it?
all the time mah man
Burn Polkas On 45, Hooked On Polkas, Polka Party, Hot Rocks Polka, Polka Your Eyes Out, Bohemian Polka, The Alternative Polka, Polka Power, Polkamon, Angry White Boy Polka, Polkarama, Polka Face and Now That's What I Call Polka to a CD. Easy. :)
I already did and it's not enough! I mean a new just polka covers album, covering famous songs he hasn't played yet, there are too many :P
@@BedroomScenesMovie I saw one of his dad's albums at a thrift store in Aransas Pass, Texas a while back. Maybe it's still there!
0:00 - Blind Melon "No rain"
0:10 - RHCP "Under the bridge"
0:46 - RHCP "Give it away".
Laughed my head of at this one :-))
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Year 2023 this still ROCK'S
I don't understand why Flea didn't like this parody. This is very creative.
Because Flea takes himself way too seriously and Al brought him down to size.
