Actually, all Elven swords glow blue when orcs are nearby. Gandalf's sword Glamdring and Legolas' sword Orcrist glow blue in books but Peter Jackson did not add that in movies to avoid 'Lightsabre' effect. Thats a fact!
@@MuhammadAhmad-pl4sj also Sting, Frodos' shortsword, which was elvenmade. They retained the blue glow in the movie because it was essential for the plot

Honestly after the epic fight in revenge of the sith everything else feels stale we need big flashy fights like this every once in awhile and the old republic trilogy feels like the perfect time to get it

Only Peter Jackson's Legolas was made to look like a badass. Tolkien's Legolas was much more reserved. In fact, Jackson always had Legolas showing up Gimli in the battles, but in the books it was actually Gimli who won the numbers game.

This is just pure amazing, the fact that this guy has captured all of these frames and relaxed each frame of sword with beautiful VFX, is just ridiculous. This is movie level editing right here and has completely amazed me. Good job! Do you have a job in the film industry doing this?

Cause in a way elves already have the force, advance reflexes and senses as well as visions of the future. Add in the force, and they'd have advanced advanced reflexes and senses and they're gift of seeing the future would be even more powerful.
Any force sensitive elf would be in a class all of their own.

To be fair this action scene makes more sense in the Star Wars universe than it dose in Middle Earth’s. Legolas abilities take me out of the moment in this scene in particular because of it.
Half Eaten Media Elves are suppose to be capable of doing those kinds of moves. They're very agile and have very high reflexes.

Legolas walked an inch thick tightrope in the books. He's so light on his feet he can walk the snows of Caradras without denting them even a millimeter. Everyone bitches about this scene, but it falls 100% within his canon capabilities.

Hahaha this was awesome. I'm normally quite disenchanted by Star Wars, but I love the Tolkien universe. This came up on my feed and I thought it might be amusing to watch. It was actually really cool! I like the subtle touches; the mixing of lotr and star wars music, the glow of the light sabers, even when they weren't on screen, and the eyes at the end. Very nicely done
Legolas reminds me of young Qui Gon Jin. They have the same hairstyle and are skilled fighters.

The Hobbit is actually really good. I like it much better than the movies.
The Lord Of The Rings I have yet to read. Legolas is one of the main characters in it. The movies mostly follow completely on the books. They changed a few things for the movies, but not huge changes.
I highly recommend reading The Hobbit, and all the Lord Of The Rings books. :)

I actually did an essay on J.R.R Tolkien and this girl told me that she read both the Hobbit and The Lord of The Rings. She told me that the Hobbit was really good but she said that The Lord of The Rings was kind of complicated and confusing. I'll give both a try though!

It's because they mashed a bunch of the other Tolkien side stories in with The Hobbit for the movies. For instance, the Pale Orc isnn't in The Hobbit. It's a completely separate book.

Legolas has that weird ability to be as light as a feather on his feet. If you remember in Fellowship, when everyone was trudging through the blizzard terrain in the mountains buried up to their waste, Legolas was walking ON TOP of the snow lol
