    Great video Matt! You should cover why you chose Control4 as opposed to Savant or the other systems. And a lot of people complain about the price of Kaleidscape. Obviously they haven’t seen the price of Josh.AI explaining why this solution is different than the normal three and who they are targeting would probably go a long ways. I was literally just looking at the Josh core on their website ten minutes before I saw this video pop up.

      Great ideas! I will cover all of those points in the follow-up deep dive video on Josh ai.

      @@BrolicBeast a few questions. I see you have specific icon on your Neeo remote. I have four them for my different rooms. Are you using a Roku which is how you can have CZcams and Disney+ etc icons on there? I am Apple TV specific and was told by my intergrater that wasn’t possible. Also, I currently use the SX line of Pakedge switches there 24/16 POE AND 24/24 POE. Is there any real reason besides the OvrC integration in the MS line to upgrade?

      @BrolicBeast  Před 2 lety +3

      @@pgreen0001 Yes! I am using the Roku Ultra which is the ONLY streaming box I recommend for use with Control4 due its combination of picture quality, audio quality and mini app capability. Unfortunately, the AppleTV will NOT allow the ability to jump directly to an app using a Icon on the Neeo or Touchpanel remote. This is due to Apple's locked-down API. You're definitely OK with the SX line of switches. The MS line does mean less expensive troubleshooting, since network issues can be diagnosed remotely more easily through OVRC. I'd definitely upgrading eventually, but you don't have to do right this very instance unless you have the $ burning a hole in your pocket! lol.

    Really nice job! I have control4 but want to look into Josh AI. Is that the chow mein driver on the NEEO? Love your videos.

      Hey bro, I appreciate the kind words....absolutely that is the Chowmain driver on the Neeo! Definitely look into Josh AI as soon as you can! It changes how you interact with your home!

    Nice video. Which K driver is it that allows the movie selection on the remote? It's not the regular/free C4 one is it? I don't think I've seen that option in my config.

    Great video. I got a lot of ideas. Not sure if you have done this one already but can you do a video on:
    1. The control4 hardware and associated hardware needed.
    2. .smart devices used that talk to control 4.
    3. Design if the whole system.

    A video about audio, starting out with hifi audio, then switches to left-only sound in my deaf ear.

    That’s the biggest issue I have with using Amazon Echo or Google Assistant for control, you have to be specific with your commands, and made worse when you have to control via an addon for the speakers and have to remember the addons name to launch via the smart speaker and its commands.

    • @BrolicBeast
      @BrolicBeast  Před rokem

      Yeah man, have to memorize too many exact phrases. Takes the "auto" out of automation--end up just transfering the work from hands to the brain through memorization.

    Don't like how Alexa listens to you and even responds when it shouldn't. Not sure why anyone would want a system that could be listening to what ever you say in your home. Looking into Control 4 to possibly replace my Logitech Harmany Elite which can be glitchy at times.

    I am reaching out to see if you can tell me if it is possible to program my Contol4 remote to mirror one of the buttons on my new LG G2 remote. I am constantly having to change the picture settings on my TV and have to grab the LG remote make the picture change then go back to my Control4 remote to make channel or volume changes. My supplier says it can't be done...I think otherwise and looking for someone to help me - or to direct me to someone who can do this type of programming. Appreciate your thoughts or ideas...and thanks in advance.

      Yup, definitely possible. Any control that exists in IR can be replicated w) Control4.
