This is awesome not only do I get to see incredible automations I can implement into my smart home, but it gives other smaller content creators exposure, all the while allowing you to put out a video and focus on your EP1
Glad you liked the video!
Smaller and larger! I love the community and camaraderie you all create, as well as your trust to let some of these guys be fully… themselves. Awkwardly, their complete, authentic selves. Lmao. Happy holidays to all of you!
@@EverythingSmartHome Please help me understand. what is the reason for dbag thumbnails? do you think people respond well to this? nope, us humans are soooo sick of these fake ass facial expressions... oh wait. i guess if your trying to target the tiktok morons, youre doing it right! thats not a demographic anyone should seek tho... yikes man
Thanks for having me on! I think I turned the nerd up to 11 on this one!
hibbert being hibbert
I’m not even that far into the video but already looking forward to it… he is the Master 😏
@@SMLP is that you Paul🤔
@@TenshiR 🤣
try saying home assistant 3 times in a row without thinking about him
@@SMLP I heard if you look in a mirror and say " OOOH THE ZIGBEE!!!" 3 times he'll materialise behind you and smack you with a mackerel. 🤫
@@TenshiR 🐟💥
Had to pause the video immediately after starting in order to give a like for the sweater alone. *chefs kiss*
The full thing is even better 👀
@@EverythingSmartHome I concur! I enjoyed that. Great content as always and happy holidays!
Happy Holidays! 🎄
Great video! Thanks for including me! Paul and Stu were hilarious 🤣
Thanks for being a part of it, the battery automation is 100% essential when you have more than a few battery devices!
I am also monitoring the batteries with an automation and it's very convenient for 99% of the devices. The only device that needs to be checked more than once a week is my smart lock.
One of my first automations was actually blinds control. Over time I have expanded it to a monster of an automation that takes input from temperature sensor inside, temperature, light intensity and wind speed from a weather station, sun position and even room occupancy to control blinds in 4 levels (open, half closed half tilted, fully closed tilted and completely closed). It works almost perfectly in every situation imaginable.
And every time it does not, you fine tune it and it keeps getting smarter.
@mikosoft huh
So cool to see everyone in one place . Good job binging everyone home for Christmas , Lewis 😁
Very cool! I love to see automations and get inspired. Thanks to all contributers ❤️
I just noticed Louis' respond to Hilbert. And the text on Louis' shirt 😅.
Love the humor and bond you guys have. It's sooo good for us viewers 🎉
Thank you Lewis. Happy Holidays & Merry Christmas to yourself, your family & your crew. May the New Year bring you more inspiration, and great times. Cheers from Australia & love these videos. Congrats & cheers to all the contributors.
Thank you Lewis. You put together a great computation of smart home enthusiast. Merry Christmas to you and yours! 🎄
This was great! Thanks Lewis for including all of these creators!!! Love it!!!
My favourite is the one that turns on my coffee maker every morning and after the coffee is brewed turns it off. All automated based on the motion sensor upstairs(using the Envisalink integration) , a tasmotized Sonoff S31, a switchbot button pusher and a bluetooth proxy . Fine tuned with a couple input booleans for the morning routine and power consumption steps. All knowledge learned in the last year from the youtubers featured in this video , including this channel. Thank you for the great content .
Thank you Lewis for all your ideas and contributions to Home Automation. I wish you, including your family and friends a Merry Christmas 🎄and a Very Happy New Year 🎉. All the Best. 👍
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too Mario! 🎄🎅
Awesome job! Brought some of my fav youtubers together into 1 video. Well done!
BeardedTinker showed a way to resume music after making a broadcast on google home! He is my new hero!
Haha awesome!
I second that, I will surely modify our door open reminder that goes to our kitchen nest hub, which stops the music
Lewis, and all the other guys. Thankyou for all your effort in creating the video's that you do.. not only am i entertained, I'm also educated and inspired to try new things in my own smart home. so thankyou very much and i wish you all a merry christmas
I’ve been watching a lot of CZcams videos on home automation and this was single-handedly the best one that I have seen today. It was great to meet so many CZcamsrs and get to know you and your channel. New subscriber here.
Loved this video! Super inspiring! It's fun to see all the youtubers i have seen when informing myself about smart homes and automations to be a kinda like a lil community i love it!
Great job Lewis. Also pleased to see so many home automation folks in one video.
That was such a great video! Collaboration between my favorite home automation you tubers! Thank you and Merry Christmas to all of you!
Another great video, especially seeing all the different options from other channels. My favourite automation is when the doorbell is pressed. If it's dark it will automatically turn on the porch light. But what I really like is that it will take a snapshot and send it to my TV. Merry Christmas to you all.
Thanks for having me on! A great collection of automations from an awesome collection of people!
Happy holidays all! 🎄
Thank you Lewis for all your ideas and contributions to Home Automation. I wish you, including your family and friends a Merry Christmas and a Very Happy New Year . All the Best.
Thanks Lewis, another great video. I love all you guys. Thanks for all of the interesting videos and ideas this year, can't wait to see what next year brings. 😊
Thanks for all the support this year Jamie, as always it's very appreciated!
Great video idea, Lewis! I thoroughly enjoyed watching this and even discovered a couple new tech CZcamsrs to start following. Happy Holidays!
Great video Lewis, so nice to see so many other smart home channels that I watch represented!
Wishing you all a fantastic Christmas and a great start to 2023... oh and change the combination on my luggage! :)
What a cool idea with excellent execution! You've taken collaboration to a whole new level! I've finally finished evaluating all of the different HA solutions and have decided to make the move from ISY / Insteon to Home Assistant. I have a pretty extensive investment in Insteon switches, outlets, sensors, etc., so my goal is to continue using that gear as I grow / expand my automation capabilities!
Thanks for putting this out here, it was awesome! Maybe next year, I can share one of my favorite automations!
Loved you bringing in all these great creators!
Brilliant idea for a video. Really inspiring and have right away added Battery monitoring to my setup :)
The best smart home collab on CZcams! Lovely video!
Glad you enjoyed it 🙏🏻
Just an excellent job of including some new & some of my favorite content providers!
All down to the other great creators for being a part of it! 🙏🏻
So cool to see all of our favorite home automation ppl in one video. Merry Christmas 🎄
Your scene when Paul threw it back to you was hilarious!
😂
Awww snap look at @PaulHibbert dropping a Home Assistant.. Home Assistant.... Home Assistant....... automation!! Nice job on the video Lewis!!!
It was all the amazing creators who made it happen! 🙏🏻
Late to this video but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the collaboration! Thanks for bringing all these folks together!
Love that you have reached out to and included other channels in your video here, I have some new ones to go have a watch of now :)
Have a great Christmas & New Year!
It's an honour to have so many cool creators in one of my videos - Merry Christmas to you too 🎄🎅
Lewis came up on my feed.
Enjoyed the different contributions from Paul Hibbert and Stu.
Good to hear from the other people.
Thanks Lewis. Well done. Your a champion. Keep up the great work. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a happy New Year from Australia
Well done Lewis. I'm sometimes a critic, but always happy to praise where youtubers are doing good. You've had quite the year, I really hope 2023 only gets better and more successful for you. Good luck 🙏🙏
Thanks Peter, appreciate it! Have a good Christmas!
What a great idea Lewis to gather all those folks in a single video :) Well done all!
Loved the collaboration! Thanks for sharing some new to me channels
A truly great video and I loved the commedy bit between Paul Hibbert and you
My eight-year-old just showed me how to make an automation for my IPhone for when I plug it in and unplug it; so that it says funny saying in the process. 📱🔌
Everything I just saw this video is way advanced and over my head. But eventually, I’ll get there by watching all these channels. 😂
Good collaboration video. I now have to go back and watch the ones from all the other years too.😊
Loved this! Happy Holidays to all my favorite YT HA creators!
So cool to see everyone in one place . Good job binging everyone home for Christmas , Lewis
One of my newest automations that I love;
I have automated internet speed tests so that I can track internet speeds (upload/download/ping) at any time in the day. But... I also like gaming, and when the automated speed test runs it can effect my ping.
So, I have my PC report to my home assistant if I am playing a certain game, and then it skips the speed testing until I finish.
Love the morning wakeup routine, I have done that myself. I have a SONOFF NSPanel in the Master Bedroom with a Coffee button on it that triggers the start of the day! Love it!!
Ooooo coffee button, I need one of those!
Great community and great guys. Excelent and useful video 👏👏👏
Thanks so much, glad you enjoyed it!
I'm working from home for the whole week so my favourite automation is that whenever I receive a call or I'm in a meeting, my ambient light turns red to let everyone know that I can't be disturbed right now. Light turns off whenever I end the call or the actual meeting. It's really the "awkward family moment life savior"
That's a really good one for home working! Thanks for sharing
I use the same automation and I love it! ❤️
Lol, the Paul Hibbert outtakes at the end were classic!
The essential outtakes 😂
Wooooooow ! all my Favs in one video! what more can i ask for! Thanks Lewis. Happy Holidays!
Happy Holidays to you too, thanks for watching!
Loved this so much great video and amazing concepts keep up the great work guys
🙏🏻🙌🏻
whoa, the amount of smart home creators in this video, I don’t know if I’ve ever seen one that has so many before, nice job, Luis.
Damn that battery one. How I hate battery powered smart home stuff, the bane of my existence
That's super useful!
I have a rule for battery powered smart devices.... Nope.
Actually, I'm OK with stuff that can last like 6-12 months and takes regularly available AA batteries. Also OK with stuff that runs on solar+battery outside where it's just not practical to run cables (such as the chook water and feed level monitor I'm slowly working on).
@tin2001 that's fair, the switchbot contact sensor hasn't driven me mad yet and it'll take regular rechargeable batteries so fine I guess.
What I loathe is the hue dimmer switches, ikea motion sensors, aqara temp sensors and the like that take various kinds of flat CR batteries that no vendor will deliver here and don't last very long.
Special mention for the hue switches that become less and less usable but keep reporting a full battery.
I'm a little late seeing this video, it just now made it into my stream. Most of these guest are already in my stream. I think the only one that was missed was the handydad guy. Cheers for the share! I hope this continues to be a tradition.
Collabs like these are great. Would love to see more.
🙏🏻🙌🏻
God Damn it Lewis! Ya left the hook ups "Alexa" unbeeped! 😅
My bad 😂
The best thing is that every CZcamsr uses his own style in this video 👌🏻
Hello community! New member from Brazil here! Happy to receive all this useful tips! Thanks!
Hope you had a great New Year’s Eve Lewis. One question though, I saw the kitchen morning routine helper. How do you set that? Is there an automation to set it after a specific time or something?
Great video from you guys and very funny as well 😂😂
This was fantastic. All except the guy who said Alexa twice and triggered mine. I love shouting "Alexa! STOP!" 🤣 All good though, no harm done and wow, I have some new people to follow and a few automations to try out myself. Oh and how cute at the end with Paul Hibbert. I love that guy! Just not... you know... that way. Neesha would kill me! LOL!!
I got ep1 today , thanks 🙏 playing it with now it’s fantastic 🎉
Really glad to hear you like it, enjoy! 🥳
Made me chuckle thank you 🙂
This video felt just like when I was a kid and all my favorite cartoons had a crossover episode! Awesome!
Love it 😂
great video!! love seeing all those yt creators, great ideas
Thanks Rob!
Great video… enjoyed that and found a few creator I wasn’t already following 👍🏻
That's what it's all about! 🙌🏻
Very cool idea, let’s see more in the future!
Now I remember the reason why I don't visit Hibbert channel anymore.
Thanks for the other options, I like your channel!!!
Nice sweater 🙂
I used a sonoff button and integrated it to Zigbee2MQTT and used WiFi plug and LEDs to automate click to switch LEDs
And double for Christmas tree
This is great! There is always a new channel of interest in there, that some of us haven't seen yet.
Glad to hear it, lots of great creators 🙏🏻
Excellent! Well done!
Another great video!
Awesome! Well done Lewis! Congratulations for 100.000 subscribers!
Thanks so much!
What a great video! I definitely need to install home assistant to run some of the automations here!
Thanks for watching!
Do it! 😀
Didn't expect this to be one of the funniest videos I've seen in a while.
Already commented this on your discord community, but commenting for engagement. :D
Using this opportunity to wish you a wonderful Holiday Season, and thank you SO MUCH I don't think y'all know how valuable you are on literally carrying the HA community on your backs. If it wasn't for these people videos I would have gave up! What a ride. Totally ready for 2023 and whatever it has to bring to us!
Thank you so much for the kind words! 🙏🏻
Great video man! Happy Holidays!
Some great ideas there. One thing I did notice is that Stu used Aqara temperature and humidity sensors. I have tried these but can't get them to work reliably. Anyone got any tips?
1:55: my front door automation: a) if door (contact sensor) open, lock remains unlocked. b) if door closed, lock locks. c) if lock unlocked but door closed for more than three minutes, lock locks. This spares me ever closing the door while the lock is locked, and ensures that if someone unlocks the door but for some reason does not open it the door is quickly re-secured.
So many smart home hosts! Amazed how many I know and subscribe to!
Haha they are very talented people!
This was great. Thank you.
Thank you!
this is so sweet :) Good job on this collab with everyone!
Really clever idea! Thanks for showcasing the other talented home automation CZcamsrs. Now if we could just get Shane to lose the hat. Shane, you're not a teenager anymore...
Door close automation gets my vote. Didn't even know there was such a gizmo!
I like The Hook Up's automation. Very convenient.
My first automation is outside venetian blinds with a shelly 2.5 and esphome. Open at sunrise and close at sunset. The automation will not fire if the down button on the wall is fully pressed in.
Hello Lewis , first, happy holydays, second, my favorite automation is when I am leaving my home and I get in my car, my phone is automatically connect to my car Bluetooth, after is connected, the gate is automatically opened. Also when I am coming back home, I have 2 zones defined on map, and when I enter in that zone and phone connected to car Bluetooth the gate is upended. This help me not waiting for the gate to open when I am back home. Thank you for your awesome videos.
That was a treat, Happy Christmas to you and all the CZcamsrs that joined in! Just one thing; 12 contributors, three Brits and the only three that involve sexy times are the Brits. You've confirmed to the world that we're a bunch of pervs.
Great video!
Loving This video
This was great, appreciate you Lewis 🎄
Appreciate you for watching and supporting 🙏🏻
Another great video, I got some great ideas for my morning routines, BTW I have few automations that you may like
1) Keep the Switches on - I have few bulb outlets connected to the smart bulbs and my light automations go bananas every time my wife or daughter turns off the switches, I created an automation which will be triggered when the switches as turned off and it turns the switches back on, sends an announcement using the smart speaker of the room not to turn off the switches and turns of the lights after 15 seconds ( 15 seconds delay to ensure that the bulbs are connected to Wi-Fi)
2) in-store shopping reminders using HA zones, this will send a reminder to other person( if i am at store notify my wife and vice versa) to update the shopping list
3) turn off the lights and motion sensors in my home theater (Based on Denon AVR status) and turn lights and motion sensor on when the HT is turned off
Wishing you and your family Merry Christmas and a happy and successful 2023, hoping to see more products and videos from your side
This is awesome!
I legit paused the video after the auto sit down to watch tv automation / lights on off and made a version of it. Great video
Edit: also thanks to the fire pro remote I can now program it to buttons
Hey Lewis, thanks for including me among such amazing creators! Happy Holidays!!
Happy Holidays Shane, the honour was all mine being able to host everyone! Thanks again! 🙏🏻
Thanks Lewis for bringing these great creators together. I will make sure that I am subscribed to each and every one (except Paul Hibbert, of course) ....((no, just kidding.....))
Make it a HUGE LIVE STREAM event next year, with LIVE Demos, calling in from different places, countries etc.
Nice idea! Merry Christmas to you all🎄
