Can you get the shades to drop at the same time?
And can you use the HikVision camera app within Control 4? Or do you have to shell out to another application?
Great proyect, what is the model Of nvr Hikvison?? Is 100% compatible with control4??
Great install !! That router and switch may be enterprise grade and probably have a nice price tag but most managed switches have the ability to lock ports down and create vpns etc. Would have thought yous would know a lot more about networks.
I mean when someone pays 80k for a smart system you have to have a 99% uptime, so the price is justified however for a diy, yeah to expensive.
On my Control4 system I use many tv, is it possible to have the exact copy of each remote control on my Control4 system, so I could use the copy of my tv original to make any ajustements on any tv program on my Control4.?
Looks good but the display seems a bit slow and the delay between issuing a command and it happening seems long.
All C4 seems a bit laggy I suppose you get use to it

It does voice control through Alexa and Google. And Airplay also for individual room

Do you need really high speed internet to run this home automation system for the entire house?
Not really. Everything is connected in the local network

Are the shades Qmotion or Lutron? Early in the video you mention Qmotion which I would be surprised at and then you mention Lutron because of hembar alignment...but they weren’t really aligned. Lovely project overall. Cheers.
He said they're Q motion and later mentioned they don't perfectly align because Lutron owns the patent on hembar movement. So to answer your question Q motion which are supposed to be the quietest blinds on the market and they also are available wireless powered by batteries
Lutron are the market leaders when it comes to automated blinds and curtains.
Does Control 4 work with Single colour or colour changing LED strips?
Yes, Control4 works with any LED strips

Is there a frame to go round touch screen, the cut out looks really rough
Yes - there are wall/flush mounts that you can get from 3rd party sellers to go around it if need be.

How much is the cost of whole system like this?
We have a bunch of case studies on our website with approx costs.
This one was around £60,000 after everything was said and done - the case study on our website will tell you exactly what went in and the services covered
not a good idea having them on the outside you can open that and just rip it all out then how usfull is it all then ?
Whats the point of having a gate you can jump over ?
Mainly for cars/deliveries. The gate is very far away from the house so anyone jumping over the gate to get to the house would be seen on CCTV or out the window well before they got anywhere near 🤙
Man whoever cut in the control panel in the beginning needs to be ashamed of themselves. These custom smart home control4 installs are commonly well above the 50K USD mark. And that tidal wave of a cut in would be completely unacceptable especially at the luxury price point it’s at.
Man, it was the client. He wanted it flush. So installed it himself. But thanks for the feedback 🤘🏼

So much unnecessary babble in this video. Could have shaved 10 minutes off.
Then It would have only been a 15 minute tech walk though and we would have had to of thought of a new title 🤷🏻♂️
