Mussel Toast and Ceviche: Chef's Night Out with Top Chef's Gail Simmons

- In this episode of Chef's Night Out, Gail Simmons-judge on Bravo's 'Top Chef' and Special Projects Director of Food & Wine Magazine-takes us out to some of her favorite New York spots. The night starts with mussel toast and ceviche at Navy in Soho, followed by eight cocktails (yes, you heard that right) at ZZ's Clam Bar in Greenwich Village. We then cruise to Miss Lily's 7A for some curried goat neck, and to end the night, the crew heads back to Talde in Park Slope for a late-night meal of Vietnamese shrimp, nasi goreng, and Bánh xèo prepared by Gail and chef-proprietor Dale Talde. To top it all off, Gail pours 30 whiskey shots, in one fell swoop, for all of her friends.

No idea why people are being such little pricks in the comments. The food looked great, the ladies were easy on the eyes, their chemistry was good. What's to dislike? It may not have been the bestest Chef's Night Out evarr!!1 but it's not like this was 15 mins of torture or anything.

I call bullshit, the food is still good and interesting, you just cant accept the people which is honestly just your problem. The post production team is actually really clever on Chef's Night Out. They'll lay in dopey ass music when you get episodes like this that they know are medium to low tier.

Fuck this kind of bull shit. Shane Smith, the founder of Vice (and in term munchies), said that he has no problem merging empires with Rupert Murdoch,the owner of Fox News and many other extremely right wing and corrupt newspapers, look him up there is a ton to know.
PS: A few years ago Murdoch bought 5% of Vice and then the channel completely changed.

So many haters on here. Gail is smoking hot, knowledgeable and went to some good spots. We don't need to see obnoxious party people or hipsters on every episode. Gail knows her stuff and is refreshing to watch.

Gail Simmons! TONS of friends. TONS of booze. TONS of gratuitous use of TONS. Still, a good episode. The lady knows her food, as well she should. Interesting craft cocktails, some of which would make an excellent Munchies vignette. No hipsters, well at least not many. Just the overpaid and privileged suckling off the sweat of the hospitality industry.

I liked this series for the down-to-earth chefs with relatability/humility who are lots of fun, this chick is vain and the only thing she has lots of is ego...never skipped an episode til now yall do the same
