    So when I set the audio device as the jupiter that is causing the sound to go back through the jupiter. I want the sound to have its own output (my pc speakers). I am having a very hard time. I dont want plug my speakers into the jupiter x.
    I cant do this with audio device as Jupiter X. I can do it just using the jupiter x as midi with sound pass through, but then i dotn get all 5 channels.

    Not sure I understand. Why didn’t we see you actually create each track? I don’t know how that was set up. Also, you say your speakers are plugged into the Synth, but I would expect most people would want them plugged into an interface so we could use/hear other sounds from the DAW. Or does anything else we put into the DAW also get routed back through the synth’s outputs? Even so, this is a portable synth, so I assume many users are like me and don’t always have this Xm connected to the system. Personally, I need to use my DAW for other things and was hoping for a way to occasionally connect the Xm into my laptop and have its sounds routed into Logic. As it stands, i can get Logic to record sound and midi, but I can’t hear it!

    How to get individual audio outputs via USB on the class-compliant USB interface? (Windows or mac driver is out of the question, since I only use Linux. Also I really don't want to use PC with synths, I just want to connect to an audio interface and then to Akai Force.)

    Hello! Tell me please, why when I record independent parts(not stereo mix) they are going without any fx(reverb, delay etc.) to my DAW? And how to turn on fx for all parts in the usb recording? Thank you in advance!

    I'm a Windows 10 user with a my main audio interface being UAD Apollo with an ADAT interface connected to it, so I use this setup to monitor my Jupiter Xm and other synths.
    So is it assumed that every musician is exclusively an Apple user and why is it nearly always that Ableton & Logic are used in these examples?
    Can Roland not make guides for Windows users also?
    I do not use Asio4All - I find to be buggy and pointless for my setup.
    So, how does one use JPXM as a MIDI module in a DAW like say, FL Studio or Studio One using a generic Windows PC, because there seems to be a lot of menu diving for a such a simple process?

    How do you multitrack record in Windows when the Jupiter XM is not your primary soundcard?
    I used a UAD Apollo Twin Duo as my output device, but cannot use 2 ASIO drivers or add the JXM as an aggregate device in Asio4all.

    • @scottberry6669
      @scottberry6669 Před 4 lety +1

      Hi Dan, unfortunately, a PC can only use one interface at a time. You could try ASIO for all but it can be touch and go. I would suggest using the Jupiter-X or Jupiter-Xm as the interface for recording the indiviual parts and then change to your UAD for mixing or adding other tracks.

      @@scottberry6669 I can use some other Roland products, such as the MX-1 in Asio4all, just not the Jupiter XM. Do you know if that can be fixed?
      I also have an Mc707 and some boutiques that I want to record at same time. Why not develop a class compliant driver for Windows?

    • @scottberry6669
      @scottberry6669 Před 4 lety +2

      @@dancarter5595 ASIO4All would be the same for either. A class compliant driver wouldn't help as it is the PC that is the constraint with multiple interfaces. It also depends on how you are recording everything i.e. capturing a live performance or recording things one at a time. If you record one at a time, then you can connect each one for recording. The other option would be to get a Mac because you can run several interfaces at the same time.

      Scott Berry USB Audio Class compliant / generic mode wouldn’t hurt at all though :) It’s there on the Juno DS... not in the Jupiter X/Xm...

      @@scottberry6669 Would it be possible to use the XM as an external 'multi-timbral' device the 'old school' way by using a midi din cable from midi out from eg midi-sport to midi in XM creating 5 separate midi tracks in DAW and assigning different midi channels to the 5 midi tracks/ parts (1-5) in your DAW cutting out the need for the USB audio return feature. This would allow you to access the XM as 5 virtual synths' AND use your soundcard of choice at same time??

  • @wabo1
    @wabo1 Před 3 lety +1

    Guess it is the same for Jupiter X. But what if you want to set it up with Midi connectors in a DAW? How do I assign a Midi channel on the JupiterX so it does only play what is coming in on that dedicated Midi channel, not everthing. I am using Cubase 10.5. and URC44C audio interface, Jupiter connected via Midi on URC44C as well.

    So for clarity please... you use confusing terms in this video, not what I expected.
    Do Outputs 1&2 only carry signals from the main stereo bus. The "everything " bus?
    Output 3 carries the solo channel 1 bus, then output 4 carries the solo channel 2 bus, & etc?
    Are those individual "solo" outputs mono or stereo ?
    Or can they be output as individual discrete channels?
    What signals do they carry? Or do the tones only have mono out fx?

    • @scottberry6669
      @scottberry6669 Před 4 lety +1

      Hi Banjo, all inputs are setup as Stereo tracks. Your explanation is also correct except 3/4 would be Part 1 only, 5/6 would be Part 2 only etc.

    do not buy this keyboard unless you just like the presets. I have been using multi timbral keyboards since the Korg M1 since the early 90's. This keyboard is an absolute nightmare to navigate and program. manual is nothing. Roland video tutorials are absolutely worthless.Really miserable experience working with this keyboard. plan to sell ASAP
