How do I transfer self-made beats to a USB flash drive without a computwr?

Big Disappointement : Where is the ARP Motif Editor which was present in the former FA-06/07/08 series ??? This motif editor afforded to define each note (from the base note) and could load a midi motif ! It is a basic feature but it's no more on the FANTOM-0X !!!

This feature is currently useless because it doesn't work on Apple Silicon Macs. The current version of the Logic Control Surface driver only supports the Intel platform. Please Roland provide a version that supports Apple Silicon!

I want to know why this board costs so much and us poors that saved up for so long to afford it, or get financing to obtain it, have to keep shelling out more money for the sounds that were advertised as this great new zencore tech that can model everything? Such a maybe disappointment, and I don't think there's anything to be done about it but i guarantee I'm not spending $600+ more dollars to get 4 models. Lesson learned i guess. Your models didn't even use skins that look like what it's modeling, look at Akais MOC juno Model, it looks like the device. Really surprised. Then using AIRA is mentioned but no demonstration on it's operation alongside that gear. And this has been out a while and there's limited updates that complete with other manufacturers, i.e. no more engines being added, no peripheral additions, no Wi-Fi USB support to stop needing to keep transferring files over thumbdrive, no memory upgrades, no cubase support, no plugins to compete with AKAI, no genre specific preset filtering, no TR-8S Or MC-707 JDXI SYSTEM 1 INTEGRATION, no ACB engine added like you did on Fantom. It's turning into a Native Instruments situation where the updates are scarce and it's always for something insanely minor nobody will notice. I wouldn't mind a subscription if you guaranteed development would have new things people request at least quarterly.

I have never been interested in playing any sort of instrument until about a month ago. I secretly bought a Roland RD-2000 and picked it up today, with Rolands KC 80 amp and Rolands RPU-3 foot switch pedal and headphones and ( she doesn’t know ). It will be my first time touching a keyboard. I want to master the piano over the rest of my life and I turn 60 in one month. Long story short, my wife had 12 years of lessons and played piano for the church for 25 yrs. She is 60 and she started playing when she was 4 yrs old. So, she’s pretty much a pro. I am not going to tell her and I will surprise her when I sit down at her piano and play “Fur Elise”. BTW, I’m putting the Roland RD2000 piano in my home office and only playing it with the amp when she is not home otherwise it will be with the headphones. She never comes into my office because it’s far enough away from the central part of the house and is over the garage. She’s going to freak. Wish me luck. 🙂👍

My RD 88 doesn’t have that. No settings above the keys- only on top. I am totally unable to find any settings Geez I got it from Sweetwater.😊

Thanks for this. I've been wondering why Roland included this function. BTW - Is there an "oops!" / undo button for that? I've sometimes been editing quickly, got out of sequence in my buttonology and accidentally lost all my kit to that function. I think my only recovery was to switch the power off from the external socket (to prevent auto-save mode at normal shutdown) then restart. Is there a better way? ... Or maybe - If I working in the User Kits slots - I can go to the original kit and do a copy/paste for a restart point?

Same here. All of these videos, and none of them help. Can't get the Katana to show up on my Mac OS (14.5) desktop. Installed driver. Uninstalled driver. Reinstalled driver. Ad nauseum. Not present as a MIDI device. Etc. I really like the amp in general, but if I can't get the digital stuff to work, it's...well, it's just another neat little amp, but nothing I need taking up floor space.

This information needs to be updated for new operating systems on computers, Mac and PC

can you layer multiple sounds on Roland Juno di?

I'm planning to buy the roland TD-02KV V-drums, is it als possible to attach this drumset with the roland fantom 8? Will it also work fine just like the drumset in the video? Will it work with the sequencer? Instead of the MIDI input, can i use one of the external USB devive ports on the fantom? Thanks a lot for the answers.

For the 4.0 version there is a bug where if you go into the INPUT SETTINGS from the unit while connected via USB to the computer with the BOSS Tone Studio, then the app opens the TUNER instead of the INPUT SETTINGS. The unit will still open the INPUT SETTINGS but the app will remain on the TUNEr until you close it from the app itself.

I’ve tried connecting my A-500 Pro to EXT DEVICE USB port, it didn’t work at all, despite the website saying that A-Pro series keyboards can be used there. I connected a Korg MicroKey (class compliant midi keyboard), and it worked, but very badly (notes triggered with random latency when playing chords). Maybe that’s a firmware issue; my Fantom-07 is on 1.03. I’ll try updating it to the latest version.

If the Fantom O had the same organ engine as the VR-09 I'd buy it...but after playing one in a store l couldn't find any organ sounds or Leslie Sim anything near as good as the VR-09 😢

Question - can I take a sound (patch) from Roland Juno DS88 and save it to my Roland RD-2000? Maybe using Juno DS tone manager?

When you use “phrase” you only need to press one key, doesn’t matter how many keys you press at the same time it will just play one. When you press “chord” it will play all the arp notes at the same time as a chord, so basically the opposite of phrse

some things are different with the Fantom o it doesn’t have a vol control for DAW control, wish you had a video for it!

I got an rd88 used. When I try to switch banks for zones 1,2,or 3 during this process the ext ctrl/daw ctrl button lights up. If I push the right cursor key the "internal" changes to "external" and I can't look at any other sounds. I tried a factory reset then off/on, but nothing changed. Help?
