    • @darenager630
      @darenager630 Před 2 lety

      Here here - pretty annoying that MC-707/101 users do not have a free editor, Zenology pro is not worth buying just to edit hardware. TR-8s/6s has its own editor so it seems strange that the MCs do not, Roland please don’t leave MC users out!

    • @alicaramba7680
      @alicaramba7680 Před rokem

      @@darenager630 MC-707/101 are geared towards beat/pattern making fast, not sound design, so, I guess, all controls you need are in front of you. Beat makers rarely need anything more beyond attack/release time, filter cut off/resonance, LFO speed/amount and effects dry/wet controls. Buying real synth and adding to MC-707/101 not just will free your hands on sound design but also heavily expand sound palette. Honestly, there is no point of editing 'acoustic' Zen-core and XV-5080 patches in deep anyway. If you need a synth, buy a synth. Only one note, creating new sounds which makes sense isn't easy task, you better train yourself with free software synths before making a decision to spend money.

    • @darenager630
      @darenager630 Před rokem

      @@alicaramba7680 I have plenty of synths too, MC-707 has full synthesis but no editor or even proper patch storage for user patches, yes it has all the controls on the hardware for detailed edits but it is pretty laborious compared to using zenology pro or the jupiter x editor. It is marketed as having “deep synthesis” which arguably it does, but it is a shame there is no user patch storage and no software editor, given the price and the competition and other Roland products which do, like X, TR8s/6s etc.
