I suspect a lot of content creators might have somewhat of a similar relationship to GW as game "journalists" have with gaming companies etc. This probably most applies to the ones showcasing games online though admittedly.

Honestly, the creators (be it painting tips, kitbash showcaser and the like) that deliberately are avoiding the situation and are noncomittal in their stance I don't really have a problem with, it's just the cost of being reliant on GWs "good graces". However, the ones that have fully on doubled down and are going hardcore with the bootlicking of GW and/or labels and ad-hom attacks on everyone who disagree are the creators that I'm straight up putting on a mental list to avoid interaction with and never give them a single view ever again.

When was the last time a creator's actions ever changed a corporation's way of ruining it's business? Never is the answer. The corporation either changed because of fans or people or they just went out of business over time.
I say give the creator's a break and watch or listen to what they put out in the first place, that is why you watch them.

If you hear big creators skirt around the issue and your first instinct is to completely abandon them then you have an issue. You are effectively saying that all of the entertainment and lore that they've provided for you over the years is worth less than this one thing.

To be fair, Valrak went as far as saying he thinks the way GW handled this is crap. But as you've pointed out in the video, I don't blame him or others for either not discussing it (Rho) or not coming down hard on either side (Valrak, Majorkill). I'm not sure it's because they are trying to be all buddy-buddy with GW (the latter two have criticised GW in the past, including recently), but I get that they are in essence a brand of their own now, as you say - they don't want to divide their fanbase, cause friction, risk losing subscribers when they have a lore channel to run. And in that respect, they've shown more sense than GW has on this matter.
If anything, I feel a little sorry for them, because this situation is beyond their control and it risks rocking the boat for them a lot (if not outright capsizing it, if GW do decide to go 'Rings of Power' level crazy with woke changes).

Er, you think someone like Majorkill is toeing the line? I mean, the dude actually SELLS unlicensed 3D-printed minis, and Warhammer inspired pornography and nudie calendars. He even went as far as selling an unlicensed 3D printed Emperor model. I don't see how any of that could put him in their good graces. And it's not like he reviews or paints official Warhammer merchandise, so even if they wanted to send him free stuff, it wouldn't even work as advertising. On the other hand, I remember a period where he (Luetin as well) went pretty hard on what felt like a regular basis calling out a lot of their anti-consumer BS (absurd price hikes and artificial scarcity of product, etc).
The simple truth is not everyone gets pissed off by the same stuff. It's entirely possible some people just don't care as much as you want them to. Discourse Minis, for example, put out a video where she didn't seem too keen on the Femstodes thing, but ultimately didn't seem to think it was a big deal, while reminding everyone that GW is guilty of some majorly shady business practices that actually cost players potentially thousands of dollars, sometimes rendering entire armies obsolete and unplayable in an official capacity.
Here is the thing that the people opposing female Adeptus Custodes don't understand.
For purposes of this issue:
The lore doesn't matter.
Your nostalgia doesn't matter.
Existing female representation doesn't matter.
There is only one thing that matters and when you understand it, you understand that female Custodes and Space Marines must exist.
It is this; Custodes and Space Marines must be inclusive because they are described as being the best of the best of the human race. Whats more, Space Marines are the face of 40K.
If you say women can't be a part of the best of the best, than you are saying women are inherently inferior to men. Thats the shameful 40 year old message they wrote into their lore. That message is not only untrue; it is abhorrent to any fair minded person.
40K has existed with this implicit statement as part of it's IP so far because it is not even a blip on the average person's radar.
But things are changing. Games Workshop and Warhammer 40k are entering larger spheres. They must fix this problem in the lore if they are going to be accepted in those spheres.

But GW and their games/community went downhill so fast when they introduced the hobby into mainstream America.
Since then they have adopted a more American business practices the entire franchise just feels like its loosing all of its heart and soul and just feel like its chasing itself in circles.
Warhammer was better before the American approaches/cukture wars/marketing were adopted and pandered to.

First up, Valrak is blacklisted by GW, he never gets free stuff from them and he also talks about the negatives of GW. He gets absolutely nothing from them other than the whispers of the warp. Secondly the lore is and always has been mutable, I remember the Dark Angel Deathwing being full of Native American characters with feathers and stuff, but that was dropped. The Thousand Sons used to be normal Chaos Marines until they changed them into automatons. Heck look at the Squats, they sold poorly in 1st/2nd ed so GW dropped them and brushed aside any mention of them, and what happened only a few shorts years ago? They came back as GW could make money selling new the Votann. Lore is mutable and changeable, it has always solely existed to sell tiny fighting plastic models. Getting hung up on lore changes is silly. I've been in this since '89 and have seen so many rules and lore changes that its water off a ducks back. If you're getting that wound up about Female Custodes or potential Female Space Marines, you need to really ask yourself why? And don't say lore, it'll change, whats the real reason? And I don't care if there is or isn't female custodes or marines, it's not going to stop me painting and playing with toy soldiers.
Finally, when it comes to working for GW people come to company for all sorts of reasons, maybe they fancied a career change, maybe they fancied working for GW but I can assure you that they will be paid under market value for the role they are doing. GW has a long history of paying the bare minimum for a role, I've met store managers barely getting more than minimum wage and region managers getting far less than their counterparts in other companies. Peachy and others have talked about this. But its the job of the social media manager to direct the staff on content to create and how the staff interact with customers. They don't set the policy, its usually someone far higher up, but given the abuse I witnessed being thrown at GW staff on Twitter I would have done the same with blocking people and deleting comments. There was no need for people to be nasty to some poor customer service staff.

You are new. The IP has had lore changes since the beginning. Chaos wasn't even going to be in 40k originally. Primarchs weren't a thing until later in second edition. Necrons are based on the original Chaos Androids from Space Crusade board game.

But it is left versus right, it is woke versus non-woke and these are politics that the woke left is inserting into our culture. Think about how Star Wars and Lord of the Rings went. In 2021 I left clans, guilds and societies because people said I was being political talking about speech restrictions and what I predicted happening right now with AI banning players for words. It's weird because I hadn't brought politics as such into it, it even seemed strange people took it like that.
I personally would like politics out of my games and every other space I go to escape in but real life constraints and heavy political influence means I have nowhere to go.
If you want to keep your hobby you can in its new form, but like the Star Wars universe, the Marvel Universe, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings and more, don't expect many if any new players because old players will walk away and the engagement from other players to introducing new players will diminish, plus you will have a stigma.

Take a look at the last hundred years and you will find that history is repeating itself.
But rightfully so. Changing the lore and gasslighting fans is a stab in the back. But the rabbit hole gets deeper. Amazon series? DEI? Cancel culture tourists. Most who complain about inclusiveness won't bother to be included. Most wont be able to invest into the hobby. 5 models cost 100$ now a days. A single character model was $12-15 in pewter. 40k hasn't been satire for a long time. Rogue Trader started as such, but 2nd edition already removed the more overt satirical elements. By 3rd edition almost all the satire was gone, and the setting took itself completely seriously.

Looking at the old stuff side by side with the newer, it's so disingenuous imo to claim that GW are making satire in 40k nowadays.
It went from 50-100% satire to 5%, and that 5 is being generous.

On the part about thinking for your own opinion , I once met an Arch fan for Total War Warhammer. The fan in question made a "loreful" mod saying that upgrades Dwarf Hammerers to have the same kind of armour as Ironbreakers. I commented that its not actually loreful and pointed out what the Army Books actually say. Then the mod maker says Arch says so, so it must be true and later deleted my comment.

Do not waste it being miserable like this guy. If warhammer upsets you then sell it and move on. I find it verry strange that so mutch of the warhammer community is just a negative echo chamber.
