Fun fact, In India they don’t give you general anaesthesia for both endoscopies and colonoscopy …just an injection to suppress the gag reflex…after the procedure , you just sit up and walk out 😀😀😀😀😀

Same in the UK. Mattering to the hospital you go to. Both parents not even offered anything other than a relaxent. Completely awake. Traumatic for both😜

i was put on the surgery table once after a bike accident. surgeons went " count down from 20 slowly and breathe deeply " while the gas was being administered.
me " 20..19.. 11ty five .. 50ty eleven... urgh im deeping breathely..... can i get this gas at the pharmacy ? this shit's better than cake" and i woke up the next day without a clue to what happened and i never got the gas.
First time they tried put me to sleep i just remember asking as everyone was waiting.. "Well.. When it will happen?". Then total blackout.

Unless you are very young, try stopping wheat in you diet. You will know in a week if you are wheat sensitive. It worked for me and now i am off omeprazole as long as i do not eat wheat. Do not stop wheat completely long term keep small amounts to build up tolerance.

Interestingly The Artist Formerly Known as ‘Prince’ (who was approx Michael Jackson’s age & size & with the same grueling rehearsal &!concert schedule) also suffer’d chronic pain in his back, shoulders, neck & legs and was equally addicted to a mix & match variety of pain-killers and both suffer’d from severe insomnia - common enough with men in their fifties - hmmmm
