Story:
Drama Serial Maat is based on a novel by Umer Ahmed. Story showed sibling rivalry. Saman (Saba Qamar) and Aiman (Amina Shaikh). Saman is greedy and outspoken girl who wants to marry someone rich someday. Aiman, is a simple girl who would marry wherever her parents say. Saman rejects a proposal of her cousin who is in love with her because he is poor so his mother asks for Aiman’s proposal which was his mother’s first choice. The story starts taking an interesting twist as Saman’s brother in law (the cousin who proposed to her) gets rich.

Unpopular opinion but I'm now thinking somewhere Aiman always wanted only Faisal. It's why she always managed to turn down perfectly good proposals and why she was always most concerned about her sister's marriage and not herself. Maybe it's even on an unconscious level but I think this is what drives her illogical too-good-to-be-true behavior. I can't find any other reason to explain this madness of marrying a man who first of all never wanted her and now is also traumatized by his first marriage. Khudkushi karne ka shauk hai Aiman ko shayad.

EXACTLY 💯 , that's exactly what i was thinking!!! also at 25:48 i hate how faizal doesn't have any money for an angel like aiman and thinks that there's no need for a grand beautiful marriage. hate how she has to deal w all the toxicity and mess that saman gave to faizal which he didn't work through or tried to fix through therapy. i *absolutely* lost my mind at this part of the drama! there were so many great proposals for aiman, she deserves to be treated #1 not like a sloppy second choice like she deserves better than some 'leftover' ( if you know what i mean )
