- For a challenge, I tried running a theme park on 1 tile and $0 in Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 (2004, developed by Frontier Developments).

Somehow you managed to make the challenge even more grindy. Im throughly impressed.
I'm always through
@@ambiguousamphibian much respect :) im sure the people watching appreciate your thoroughness.
@@Noobert I appreciate his thoroughness

@@ambiguousamphibian very ambiguous of you

This was basically like doing a kickstarter for a theme park, the people pay early just because of the pure potential of that empty plot of land.
I mean it's kind of impressive how plain it actually is

"Baptizing passersby below in a medium shower of vomit"
AA videos always have that one prime piece of poetry, don't they?
This video feels like it was made as a presentation to be given to park board members by the ceo, who knows they are planning to boot him out but is determined to make sure they grasp the breadth and majesty of his intentions before he goes
It’s very Ozymandias, “look upon my works and despair”.
@@bradleyswissman For his investors, there was indeed a lot of despairing
Watching it with this angle in mind made a good video great
What about feeding your guests to Florida's famous gators
I don't know what you're talking about
Never expected to see you here mate!

Like Anthony Bourdain was a writer masquerading as a chef and TV host, ambiguousamphibian is a writer masquerading as a video game savant and shady toad
I was actually thinking who he reminds me of for a while. He really is a lot like Anthony bourdain.
Anthony Bourdain’s book was published before he was a tv host
@@Noguarantees637 yeah we know. That’s what op said
@@overlyattachedbean1050 Surprisingly he has a very similar style of commentary to Anthony Bourdain!
im ready for a philosophical masterpiece about a one tile theme park
Something something Noble Asceticism, something something Epicurean Hedonism.
Now I need to see Gerald Williams crowbarring his way through the rusting, zombified remains of your park, eating worms and probably happier than your patrons forced to pay $30 for your burgers when they were alive.
The sequel we didn't know we needed.
Project Zomboid Theme Park DLC wen?
"And so, just as Apollo road the sun chariot each day across the circumference of the firmament..."
This man has such a way with words.
@Yeast Yeast what? Apollo isn’t real baby
i love that the early park is literally just a rural county fair lmao
I love how is this game you have only two options
One: this a very well designed ride that everyone loves and garners well earned fame
Two: By the gods they won't even be human when they get off.
ALWAYS REMEMBER: In RCT3 you can charge the guests 30cents to use the bathroom before they will get upset with you.
Damn I'd be upset at one nanocent irl
If that was only for 1 or 2 bathrooms, and there was complimentary service, I could imagine that being a gimmick that could definitely work, but as long as it stays below dollar.
@@Soulraven2735 if there was someone in there who handed me paper towels and maybe cigarettes too I’d be on board
"It's worth bankrupting yourself for the sake of a good spectacle"
Ah yes, the ol' Musk strategy
The fact that the guests would believe you to be a "fraud" if you hadn't placed like a burger stand or something by the time they return to the entrance is really funny.
Riding the rollercoaster yourself hit me with a big wave of nostalgia! I'd forgotten about that feature & how cool it was as a kid. 🤩
The modding community for this game was absolutely *massive*. I haven't looked into it in well over a decade, but I remember it being vibrant and filled to the brim with things that made the game more enjoyable.
Its honestly one of the sadder things in gaming that a lot of custom scenery was basically lost forever when megaupload died so many years ago. There was just so much heart put into the mods that not many other games have ever come close to matching, and most of it is lost due to dead file transfer sites and dead forum links
@@maudleaf9607 I think I still have a crapton of RCT3 mods on a hard drive somewhere.
Hmm...
@@ThisIsNeccessary you could singlehandedly revive it
@@Paintplayer1 I'm definitely gonna look, I'm pretty sure I have a ton somewhere

I lost it at this. Incredible writing, delivery and editing as always!
I can't remember if it was Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 or not but I remember one of my strategies in one of the various theme park games was to build a coaster that launched my customers out of the park into the next one over to tank said park- thereby boosting my own. Good times.
Sometimes I forget how unnoticed this guy is. Seriously, this channel deserves to be up there with people like CallMeKevin. Very high tier content here

Not really he is obviously just ripping off sseth. Even his mannerisms sounds like a sseth imitation he isn't subtle at all.
@@davidabest7195 you ain't bright are you?
@@davidabest7195 one makes schizophrenic game reviews once a year, the other does challenges in games and poetry shot, but no, he's just imitating sseth because.... he has a similar voice? Which he also doesn't, he sounds fucking nothing like sseth. Please go outside
@@Misha-dr9rh Play sseth's voice and AA's voice side by side and see if you still think they sound nothing alike.
I know it's not a huge deal to give tips for this game but, benches around the exits of rides help visitors calm their stomachs.
Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your work.
Quite a few times your calm voice and demeanor has managed to break me out of severe panic attacks and I just wanted to express my thanks.
Thankyou, truly.
"Like a page of Where's Waldo" is actually a surprisingly accurate metaphor for sensory overload!!! As often, many congratulations to your writing and poetry skills :-) such mastery of the language is music to our ears!
A part which is a path in the middle of nowhere and leading to nowhere, where you don't own the path apart from 1 square, is kinda like an nft
Nah, you don't even own that much with NFTs
@@Mldy96 you’re right, it’s way better than an NFT and you’d be way less stupid for spending your money on it
3:44 The masculine urge to conquer the laws of physics and build a really tall piece of metal.
What I've learned after watching practically all your videos is this: every single game, is simply a tale of two games.
I love how at the start people were not only paying to get to walk on a path but also trespassing on property you didn't own.
Love what you do ambiguousamphibian!
Your videos always get a laugh out of me, be it from an insane plot to milk the galaxy of all of its resources or to start a park with zero dollars.
Your style and charm never cease to bring joy to my days.
Keep doing what you're doing and take care of yourself!
I honestly love how he edits and flows his videos together
I remember as a kid trying to make a park that consisted of every ride and coaster available but it was in sandbox mode. This felt quite nostalgic
"The 1-Tile Theme Park"? You had me at the upload notification
“A labyrinth, a never ending jungle of roller coasters that are a sensory explosion to behold, like a page of where’s Waldo”
if a park used that as one of their selling slogans I would go there 100%
Yeah, in the 5 seconds this vid has been released, I watched all of it. Don’t fact check it.
Don't question it
Man, this video dredged up 200 hours worth of memories I didn't expect to ever think about again. What a classic.
Your beautiful poetic narration against the utter bullshit chaos scenarios you created keep me coming back and laughing harder than I should. I love your videos man.
Thank you for this video my uncle just passed away and he used to play this game with me when I was younger seeing the roller coasters brought back some memories
Ambiguousamphibian and Lets Game It Out, two of the finest channels on the interweb
I agree, both need to upload more often though
👏🗿👏🗿
Peaceful channels that are totally not crazy.
Thank you frog daddy.
Oddly enough rct3 was the rct/rct2 of my childhood, so I'm thrilled to see you play it
Funny Story about this game:
When I was younger (about 6 or 7 I believe) I wanted a game called Tycoon City New York, but I had no money to buy it. I had the idea to send a handwritten letter to Atari asking them if I could have a copy for free. A few weeks later I get a letter back from Atari. They replied saying that they didn’t have a copy of Tycoon City, but they gave me Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Platinum Edition instead.
I still have the disc to this day, and I still cant believe it actually worked.
I love when you make your videos sound like video essays, it's absurd and amazing. Thank you very much!
"...baptizing passers-by below in a... _medium_ ...shower of vomit..."
🤣🤣🤣
You know something? This is top-notch content, against all odds for this type of content. Keep up the good work! I love it.
"In case of an accident" at 5:02 hits different when you know how much the one at Wonderland breaks down lmao
Goddam, this video is such a throwback it gave me nostalgia whiplash, and it was VERY funny. Makes me wish I had my old computer with all my old save files, I remember I had a park that was literally just one long desert road with a McDonalds halfway. What an underrated mint gem.
always good to wake up to a new Amphibian video
Love these!
Covering all these classics hit me right in the nostalgia, and made me grab a copy of The Movies! Now I just need a DVD drive again...
This feels like the mad ramblings of a bizarro Walt Disney and I’m incredibly here for it
I love how this video feels like an inspirational video that a class would watch, showing the class how people can start from nothing and become a world-class theme park
I remember this game coming out and being so hyped about being able to ride your own rides.
never played rct1, I was still on themepark by bulldog (RIP).
massive nostalgia hit.
amphib: why would people pay $30 to walk a path to nowhere
me: that path looks so peaceful and quiet, it would be so nice
Marcel Vos would be proud. Keep the RCT (and Sims 1 / SimCity 3000) content coming!
BLESS that park inspector. He is the best and most loyal employee…
SO in the future if you do a run like this, i suggest closing the park once every other year
this forces all gusts out of your park, and once all guests have left, you open back up, which charges them all the entrance fee again and is a HUGE influx of cash
Giant Slide is an underrated power house! No capacity limit. Charge 3 or 4 bucks a pop. Low nausea, decent excitement! People will ride it over and over. Zero maintenance cost
opening a burger stand before the park is even built is a lot like a Kickstarter for a theme park game
Man I love your narration style never stop :D
I'm in that age where I did play rct2 as a kid but have far more memories of rct3. Love seeing this
So much for being the single tile theme park. Title should read "1-tile start theme park"
Your script writing is absolutely on point, well done
Your narration is pure poetry, it makes the videos so pleasant to listen to
I love the contrast of the poetical and philosophical voiceover and the grindy and absurd gameplay.
Ah yes, I remember the ride known as 'That thing'.
Brings back find memories of Rtc3.
Fond memories indeed.
I'm learning a lot of useful and new words from this video. Thank you AA👍
Hey Kev! Fecking happy i found this channel. You are a dang mad man. Keep it up.
Pro tip: Most of the peeps are in groups, and all of them only go on one ride with the whole group or just wait for the rest of the group to finish one ride, and this makes it hard to earn cash bc most of their time is spent standing around and doing nothing, so i reccomend downloading a mod that spawns more individual peeps, they don't have to wait for their group, so much more of their time is spent on rides/buying stuff.
Hope it helps someone ^^
Oh, I love RCT3 so much.
I didnt get to play the earlier games as much until recently but I've pretty much always had RCT3 and I have found memories of it.
Maybe I'll reinstall soon.
My first RCT game ever, loved it and still play it from time to time.
You write these like musical compositions. Love.
Fun fact in RCT3, you can charge 30 cents for restrooms without your guests becoming upset, also get the Soaked expansion, pools are game breaking.
i remember making massive coasters and then riding them in the projector room, seeing the the whole game shown on the wall was quite immersive
RCT3's ability to import your own assets (including mp3 files) was its best feature
i like ambigiousamphibian's moral type thing of the video at the end
I love the tone of these videos! The sarcasm is hilarious
As aswells an incredible video. Truly a master of his craft! Keep it up I can't wait for my notifications to be graced with your name once more.
Man I’m feeling nostalgic for this. It was a great game that tbh I think still holds up today. Might have to see if I can “find” the original CD
In another time AmbiguousAmphibian would've been a poet.
Kind of a lazy premise and edited to just get over youtube's 10 minute marker. Takes me back to my minimum-word book report days
love the editing style of this video
This is really well planned out and edited
another goofy yet fascinating challenge, thank you !
this is a delightful birthday treat, an AA video about an old favorite game of mine
I needed this laugh more than I realized. Your commentary cracks me up. Thank you! Now I'm going to go try and breathe normally again. Laughing that hard winded me
"Baptizing passers below in a medium shower of vomit" is the best line of 2022.
this video was so cool i just love your comentary man it makes thing a hundred times funnier and more entretaining, pls you ought to play the sims castaways i just feel like it has so much potential for your type of vids!!!
This is going to be fun!
I love all of your posts and this one is no exception. The editing in this one is so much more "produced" than your previous videos. Still a great watch, but it doesn't appeal as much because of it.
Hope this makes sense. Either way, I'm here for the it all
God I remember playing these when I was just a young lad, that and the zoo tycoon complete edition or something, spending the time setting up battles between dinosaurs and lions fun times.
It's cool to see you cover tycoon/park management type games, there are a lot
I really like the zoo ones in particular
Fantastic. A ride where the attraction is the theme park itself. A theme park where the theme and attractions are rides. If an attendee is lucky enough, they get to spend the entire day watching others enjoy themselves. What a world.
that was an emotional rollercoaster for me, thanks for the video
this was one of my favorite games when i was a kid. good to know how top grind in this game.
Love the voice, love the editing, love the game choices. 10/10 channel
it still baffles me that I never played this game. I used to play Roller Coaster Tycoon Deluxe every day. And later I got Theme Park Rollercoaster on the PS2. But somehow I was never lucky enough to get my hands on this one.
Just imagine your parents say your going to a theme park and you were so exited and all it was was just a walkway
Another excellent challenge video. I hope to see the rest of it in future videos and I'll definitely go check out the other channels. ;)
I stumbled upon this video. I just want to say this video is hilarious and amazing. You just got yourself a subscriber lol
When they ported RCT3 to the Switch, I was so happy. Now I can take my murder coasters on the go 😊
Im newish to your channel and I have to say your videos are entertaining and the way you write is exquisite. Keep it up mate
