During this era I guess(2015-2018) you could hear her several times. A channel called Speed S put together a compilation of her preforming Make Me at her 2018 tour and use the audio from a night where her mic was turned up.

I think a lot of people would rather have a blend of live and lip sync opposed to total lip sync.
I would love to hear a more natural tone from Britney, especially now she is free from those that controlled her but totally undestand that Britneys trademark is her distinctive baby voice but maybe the next album can have both baby voice tracks and natural tones
The price of tickets you want the whole thing authentic not bullshit, if I wanted to just listen to the song I would of put it on the radio not pay hundreds of pounds. If they can't sing live don't tour.
@@leehobkirk3442 she didn't have a choice though, she was forced to tour and they made her do all these dance routines which very few singers can sing while doing, Beyonce is a good example of someone who can. Britney was being made to do all of this and not even being paid. She wouldn't have any say whatsoever in whether she sang live or not.
@@leehobkirk3442 i remember in 2017 she sang live in Vegas, she literally said it felt like a crime that they gave her live mic. Definitely her team wanted her to perform like this for yrs. Early on she used to sing some songs live n some over a vocal track... along with lip singing over harder choro. N stop playing a victim or they fooled you somehow that she was singing live in Las Vegas days bcuz it was no secret how she was performing in las vegas. Most ppl knew what they were buying tickets too. Lol n they bought them anyways. However, i hope she gets to do live performances n remixes to songs that she was never allowed to do. They were even telling her how to do her choro n she couldn't even change it. She was always so hands on with everything b4 conservatorship but not during.

Britney is such a great performer, naturally talented and magnificent stage presence throughout the years.
I wish that her voice was looked after more in the past as she had very deep beautiful sound.
Nevertheless, this performance was great and it’s nice to hear her singing through it.
Also Georgina, she is actually not free yet. The court has ordered the cessation of the conservatorship but it’s still in progress and it is a very complex case.

It’s basically over, though. There is no longer a conservator of the person and the “temporary conservator of the estate” has *very* limited powers. It’s only technically still going on the financial side because they’re trying to sort out the nonsense her dad did to her trust and will.
Britney is free. She has full control of her finances now, and has no conservator. She is currently going after how the conservatorship started (i.e. going after her father).

This was pretty common throughout her POM shows. I saw a total of 4 POM shows. throughout all the legs/years. I have seen a total of 42 Britney concerts, starting August of 1999.
I truly think the sound engineers have quite a job lowering and raising the mic volume.
I remember her “Oops I did it again tour” back in like, 2000, maybe? 2001? She had a backing track but it was definitely less dominant than her singing voice. She was more singing…along with it, than “underneath” it, if that makes sense. She’s a great entertainer. She’s always had spark. She said it herself:
“Sometimes you have bad performances, sometimes you have GREAT performances.” Thus is life of a world-famous artist.
In my eyes, she had to put on a perpetual performance for the WHOLE world for years while she dealt with abuse and a terrible conservatorship situation. Just because a few notes are not top-tier doesn’t mean anything now. She pushed through and crushed her art. I applaud her.

This proves that Britney CAN sing! Just go back to her Mickey Mouse days with Christina and Justin she sang with a BIG BLELTING VOICE! She has pipes but her team wanted her to diaper sexy vocals instead of showcase the hidden 3 octaves she was forced to hold back! Her comeback is gonna be amazing! When Janet came back with her single “Nothing” after MJ Passed she opened up with more confidence and blew us all away with the big voice she always had.

I’ve seen her live 8 times. She actually IS singing the whole time. They turn up the prerecorded track when they don’t trust that she will hit the notes correctly. It’s really noticeable when you’re there in person.

As a Stan for the Queen 👑 just letting you know, she records a “live version” of songs for performances. So it’s not Lip-Syncing to the studio version, and throws off the GP. But non the less it’s her vocals so it’s always nice to hear.

It's incredible how much of an AMAZING performer she is. She gets the audience CRAZY, dances her arse off. She has everyone expecting some vocal performance as well, which keeps people tuned and listening closely. Honestly, she's one of a kind.

This is definitely using the recording sessions. When they leaked I did the same with a POM performance (but didn't post it cause I was just messing around) and used some of the same takes used in this one . It's 10000% not live.

I wanted to comment about why her face looks different here. I believe she thinned her nose again a little bit and she definitely got some lip injections during this period. When the ends of her lips curl up. Anyway, Im glad that filler has lost affect she looks much better now and her nose never needed any work. I wonder if her team forced her to get all this work done. She's looking better n more natural these days. N im not judging her.. bcuz 98% of all artists and actors get work done.

for me, if a musician is not able to sing live during a concert because you move and dance too much, it's not a musician but only a performer. and a big stage and huge audience doesn't make it better. the same with lady gaga. have you ever seen björk live? she can and she does.

Britney is an iconic performer. No doubt about that! However, as a vocal coach, you may or may not be aware of how performers who are at or close to Britney’s caliber and are choreographed as heavily as seen here, there is no such thing as singing live. Even when you believe you are hearing live vocals, it is merely a pre-recorded track to sound “live.” Artists go into the studio, record vocals as they move around to simulate what audiences would believe their vocals sound like when winded. But it is in no way the same type of physicality seen here on stage as they record those “live” vocals to be used in concert.
Actually there are no completely live parts in this performance, even the parts that you thought were live had actually been pre-recorded. So the only live vocals here are the ones that one can hardly hear underneath that pre-recorded track. Britney had done that a lot when she'd been touring early in her career, so even those breathy pre-recorded vocals is not something new
With all due respect to her and her trajectory, it doesn't make sense to me to praise her for singing live when, as a singer, that's what she should ALWAYS DO. People lowered the bar for her A LOT during the past few years but not all generations will be as easily pleased as this one.
She isn’t a singer. She’s an artist. An entertainer/performer. She dances Anna performs more than the singing bit like JLo, Shakira etc. You don’t see Celine Dion, Mariah Carey and all dancing around.
As a singer, she should have been free to retire with her millions and/or let her voice heal after it was damaged. She wasn't. I don't know if you have heard, but when she was 26, her formerly bankrupted alcoholic dad who had been living off her since she was a kid saw an opportunity to get a permanent "guardianship." That way he could continue to leach off her for life. She had post partum depression at the moment. She was trying to self treat with drugs. Instead of letting her free when she was clean and stable enough to perform again she was held in bondage by a court order that rested on an intentionally false dementia diagnosis.
She was not free to make her own contracts. Her dad made them for her. He also got paid a portion of everything she made in addition to a king's sum for supposedly taking care of her (Remember the fake dementia). He was not really taking care of her at all, but rather terrifying, drugging, controlling, psychologically abusing and overworking her. Her voice has been severely damaged by the demands him and Tristar put on it.
If you think this generation is easily impressed, it is because we are aware of our own humanness and vulnerability. She is singing under conditions no person should ever have to sing under. We are too glad she is finally free to fault her for sometimes lip syncing.
None of this was actually live, unfortunately. It is all pre-recorded, and people who belive or spread the rumor that this is live are simply the psychofans.
With all my love to her, the only real-voice performance she gave in years (minus some minor parts sang live like single words or moans) was Something To Talk About. And you csn easily distinguish her live-performances from pure lip-sync - she has a type of voice where it is hard for her to get the proper sound without relevant placement of body, throat etc. I mean, it is a case for all singers bu her specifically. Hence, in all her really live performances you can notice how her moves are restrained, and how she opens mouth in a really specific way to formulate the sound, being really focused on it. Thats why, at the beginning of her career when she was singing more, she didn't really dance that much... Here, she dances, jumps, even laughs during "singing", which would obviously affect the sound of vowels... but it didn't. It's a simple pre-record with modified vocals to make them sound "live" and - if you compare it with some other performances - you can find out that it sounds surprisingly the same at each concert :)
