FYI, Dad bod doesn't mean old and fat. It just means a healthy middle aged but still strong physique that can include a barrel chest and moderate beer belly but not flabby.
A lot of these girls are very deluded and when they say "dad bod" what they really mean is super high physical fitness, just not at the level of movie stars/models/athletes and other A-list celebrities who literally spend hours every day and thousands if not millions of dollars on their bodies (hiring private trainers/nutritionists/personal chefs, paying for cosmetic surgery, etc). And they were overly excited and jumping on the guests a little too much. So I yelled "SIT!!" and without thinking, gf's knees buckled to start kneeling and said "Yes, Da-" before catching herself, eyes widened to the size of dinner plates, hand over mouth, blood red, the whole deal. @@arno7163 Well, my dad is kind of dense. He didn't have much of a reaction at all, we think because he just didn't understand what was going on. He rarely does lol But mom is not exactly shy about her escapades and was more amused than flustered. Any time she went to go get food or a drink or whatever, she'd ask "If that's okay with DADDY~" I just laughed and gave her permission. My uncle is a very gentle soul and was trying to comfort my girlfriend most of the time, just kind of talking to her to keep her distracted. It was nothing obvious to anyone who didn't know him well, but he was clearly trying to keep her mind on other things to help calm her down. Since my grandmother calls my grandfather "Dad" (likely a habit formed from having 5 kids and referring to him as such all the time), so that became the butt of humor for a little while. Grandmother is a bit....stiff. So she wasn't laughing. But she clearly understood the joke and just let it happen. A few "He takes after his grandfather, it seems!" comments, or "You'll apparently fit in well, hun" directed at my girlfriend who didn't hear because she was distracted.
So nobody was really being mean or getting awkward about it. One comment I won't repeat did seem to slightly cross a line and provoke my girlfriend to hide behind me in embarrassment, but my other uncle immediately apologized profusely to her, she accepted, and that was kind of the "killing blow" that ended the joking. Although my girlfriend laughed it off nicely, so it wasn't all bad.

It also depends. During the Sinnoh League, Ash got multiple pokemon put to sleep by Darkrai, and they were only out once KO'd by Dream Eater. At least, I believe that's how that worked, but I haven't watched that battle in years so yeah.
Sleep Moves only did that in Generation one to justify how stupid people were for bringing Butterfree to the Pokémon leagues

There are other variation of adobo in the philippine
And there are other great dishes like sinigang(perfect for tropical climate), abnoy (if you like exotic food) and bistek(which takes me almost 2 day to prepare because of the marination process but worth the wait).
In the U.S. Navy cookbook there are a few adobo dishes. We used to joke that in Tagalog adobo means cooked or prepared badly.

They should've make a taste the instant ramen test for different regions/countries that has and compare each just like 2:25 because I've seen the try guys just recently loving the maggi masala noodles. I've also grown liking the Shin Ramyeon since it's spicy but I guess indomie also is a good contender. Haven't tried most in the list so I'll just leave it at that.

Shin and Ichiban are overrated. Indo Mie is all stir fry so comparing them isn't too fair, although Shin does have "dry" instant as well.
@@nuknukisdead Well, if in terms of flavor, it's kinda true since shin is almost purely spicy which may or may not be tasty for others but as I have said, I've grown liking it since it's accessible to me an where I am right now unlike most of the choices so yeah. Btw, now that you mentioned there are dry options from other brands which I didn't realized earlier I guess I haven't tried the indomie one like the ramen version so I guess I have to check that one some other time but thanks for pointing that one out.
@@maxlimited It also depends on what you consider instant. I've noticed the best options tend to be semi-instant, generally requiring actual boiling water and a pot, but still takes less than 5 minutes assuming you have a hot water dispenser.

as a Filipino I honestly didn't have much spam growing up. These are the dishes I'd recommend as entry points of Filipino cuisine Bistek, lumpia, Adobo, Longsilog / tapsilog. Since Jeannie is korean I've found a dish like Sinigang to be very popular w/ my Korean friends growing up ( grew up in Cerritos & Jeannie being from cali she'd know about the dense population of Koreans there ) Also Nilaga which i found to be similar to Galbitang. Also these two soup base dishes pair really well with a fried fish like Pampano. Also you can't forget to either pair these dishes with a Calamansi + Soy sauce mix or Calamansi + fish sauce mix. Hope you guys get to try out Filipino food. I heard Seattle has a pretty dense population of Filipino's so I hope you guys get to try some good Filipino food.
