  • I used to really struggle to pour oat milk latte art. It was always foamy and messy, but I did a ton of research and practiced a LOT. Hopefully my tips help you pour better latte art with oat milk.

    Hi Charlie,
    Thanks for the great video it is full of excellent advice. I have been attempting latte art, it is almost impossible. I didn’t anticipate how many litres of milk I would be using up and how annoyingly frustrating it would become. I have decided to safeguard my sanity, forget about it for a while and just enjoy coffee once again!
    Looking forward to more of your superb videos.
    Regards,
    John

    This is so great--i always use oat milk as I have a family history of Cancer and need to avoid the estrogen and BLV in dairy. Thanks for sharing

    Thanks for the video. My favourite plant based milk is Sproud made of pea protein. I like the texture and pleasant sweetness. Although it is important not to pour too much in a cup to avoid distinct pea flavour.

    Thank you for this awesome video!! Do you have any recommendations for an espresso machine with an attached frother that would give oat milk justice...seriously nice froth? :-)

      Lots of videos on my channel about machines, but it depends on your budget. How much are you looking to spend?

    Does good latte art with oat milk require higher steam pressure than dairy milk? Using my home machine (discontinued Sunbeam EM7000) I can pour great art with dairy milk, but since I became vegan I've really struggled to get anything decent with oat milk. I'm thinking I might try to find something like your Rancilio machine. Thoughts?

      @homecafecharlie  Před rokem +2

      It doesn't need anything specifically different from dairy milk, but if you have a better machine for sure you'll get better latte art 😉
      Glad you found the video useful!

    I’ve tried pouring right after I steam and it always seems watery unless I wait for about 20 seconds. Have you seen this at all? (Im using Califia Barista). I just can’t seem to get it right. A year later. Too foamy or too watery. Ugh.

    • @homecafecharlie
      @homecafecharlie  Před rokem +1

      If it's watery you're probably not incorporating the layers together. Make sure to get a really good roll. If you need help with it try sending a video in my discord and I'll try and help you out

    I like light/medium roasts with Califia barista. I guess my art will continue to suck. 😂

    Would using a combination of homemade oat milk and cashew with soy milk -produce the desired result?

      Not just vegans drink oatmilk. It's a great alternative for people with lactose/milk protein intolerance, older people (ability to digest milk deteriorates with age) or those who simply just find it weird to drink other species' bodily fluids. Besides, this video shows that it's actually quite easy to use.
