Hearing your doorbell ring when you’re not expecting anyone is a horror story in itself.
Always have that gun behind your back.
I used to live in a block of flats and there was always some idiot who either got the wrong flat, or was hitting random buttons just to try and get inside.
I disconnected the buzzer unless I was actually expecting someone. It just got annoying.
I’m glad I’ve got an Akita mix
It depends at what time tho
My door is different it has like 2 doors with two locks and when I hear someone ring on my door bell and I open the first door I can talk to them thru the 2nd door and ask them what do they want without opening it
I have seen the “Are you sure?” video a few times now and it’s so beyond scary. That poor woman.
Call the cops!
Right?! I cannot imagine being home alone and having this happen to me with a STRANGER outside my house like this
@@ASMRbaristaa and how helpless her husband must have felt! He wasn’t home to protect her! I’m so glad she’s alright.

That man who kept asking "are you sure?" gave me chills over my whole body. I got a little teary-eyed, tbh. How truly terrifying. 😭

@@gragol1590 he couldn't change his voiceline
It's like he was asking himself or his inner demons if he is doing the right thing. Which obviously NOT...!
If you place a mirror strategically on the front door or the main door - you can actually see whats happening behind you while you unlock your door. This is something I did when I lived alone in a small apartment building - two women were bashed with a metal rod on their heads from behind when they were opening their front door in the same apartment complex. I used to drive a motorbike at the time, so i did two things - place that mirror and always kept my helmet on while opening the front door whenever I would arrive from outside.
Big brain move right there 👏👏👏
Maybe they say that so there can be evidence saved. A mirror would only save you in the moment but won't stop all attacks. A camera will hopefully insure the police are able to go after them
@@Gawlakman I think using both would be good. The mirror would allow you to better keep yourself safe in the moment and the camera can record evidence
I pray we repent of our sins and turn to Jesus Christ for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand love your enemies and forgive others just as God can forgive you spread peace and be blessed amen.
Oh, would a curved or domed mirror work better for capturing all areas around the door rather than just a flat mirror that only gets what’s behind you?
That "are you sure?" guy is by far the creepiest and disturbing 1 I have ever seen, always gives me chills.

I think the ring door bell is one of the smartest inventions ever made. Imagine how many lives it’s saving and how many bad guys we’re

It is. I guess the only downfall is how easily it can be hacked. Mr Nightmare actually did a video on it. It was really disgusting what was done to a little girl by a guy who hacked their Ring. If they can fix that part it will be much better.

Can’t say this enough - keep all doors and first floor windows LOCKED at all times no matter how safe your neighborhood is! I live in a completely safe neighborhood with zero crime and one night I got up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and someone was trying my front doorknob. I turned on the outside lights and they left.
You should have called the police because criminals don't stop looking for victims because a light was turned on. You simply sent him to your neighbors!
Yep. Happens every single day in my neighborhood! (And I live in a nice area, just lots of people hanging out since Covid because it's near a park). I've had someone try my door twice in the last year, and 2 people go into my backyard but I didn't have a camera pointed towards my back door (just at the gate/garage entry) so I have no idea if they tried the door, but assume they did since nothing was taken. I have a security window in my office and bedroom and had an incident where a man came to my window around 3am and stood there for a few seconds and then left. I assume it was because he realized he couldn't get in easily, even if it was unlocked... Imagine if I had a regular, unlocked window? I may not have survived because he had been stalking women in my area apparently for weeks before he was finally caught. Even the worst of the worst choose victims who are the easiest to attack. (Not saying all victims are chosen this way of course, and certainly either way no one deserves anything bad to happen to them!)
Matter of fact, keep ALL windows locked on every floor, People can jump up, climb, use ladders n shit.
Yes, and buy a gun. A lock only stops the undetermined.
@@W1Robur it's better to use a controllable blunt object or edged weapon than a gun. Depending on local laws, someone almost has to cause physical harm to you before you can justify a shooting while stuff that is found around a random house like a baseball bat, crowbar or knife can wreck havoc while staying in bounds of the "Castle Doctrine" and self defense perimeters
The one with the woman with her mouth wide open gave me chills. That was horrifying.
literally same….
@Ciara Cornett I rewatched it because I didn't remember what I had even saw, and it gave me chills a second time.
Maybe she just had to pee. You can see her doing a peepee-dance. 😅
I remember when a couple of police officers showed up at my house once. I was young and stupid and after just having downloaded a movie off the internet I thought I was going to jail when I opened the door. Luckily though they were at the wrong address somehow. Glad to know it's not just the post office that always messes that up.
The tattooed guy who kept repeating his sentences really freaked me the hell out! That's fucking terrifying how he casually let his intentions in full detail known.
His mugshot gave me chills
@@tj5180 Same. He looked even more terrifying in the mugshot than in the cam footage. Absolutely terrifying
Yup, psychosis

He would of got a 30-06 to the dome
This is why I used to get frustrated with my grandmother who had a habit of going to and opening the door for just any one. I tried to explain to her that bad things can happen in daylight too, not just at night. Please never open the door to people you dont know. She was quite elderly and easy to knock over and hurt. My door is always locked, as well as my car.
My parents are the same way. They would always tell my sister and I not to answer the door to anyone, but when the doorbell rings, they're the first ones to answer the door or walk outside and see who is in the neighborhood. 🤦♀️

That guy just repeating "are you sure" was cracking me up. But then he went and said some disturbing things that made me gasp.
the scariest part about number 4 is how calmly the man explains what he planned to do to the woman in her house. It's like the type of calmness you expect of someone who is perfectly in his right mind, but yet you know he isn't all there. It's horrifying. I was glad to hear he got arrested bc before that was explained I was hoping that some mention of the police would come up, because even if that resident made it out okay, there'd be no telling who else that man would've targeted.
Pretty awesome that police were actually useful in a Mr. Nightmare video too for once
Yeah when I saw that shit I pretty much shouted "WTF" out loud. It caught me off guard.
Yeah. I remember watching another video talking about this. The man’s neighbors were interviewed, and all they said was how he was a smart, and bright man. Just completely normal before all of that.

So, I'm the OP of the second video (mouth open lady). Crazy to see my video appear on a channel I subscribe to!
For additional context: this was captured at my old home in west London, in December 2020. I happened to be abroad at the time, and woke up to a notification that someone rung the doorbell at around 5am. Watching it, I was pretty freaked out as you can imagine. I posted the video to the Nextdoor app, as well as Reddit, and people quickly recognised her as a local vagrant with drug issues, and that she'd knocked at a number of other doors along the street that night too. Someone else commented that they answered the door to her and she was basically just begging for money for drugs with some bullshit story. As for her mouth, apparently it's a condition caused by anti-psychotic drug use over time that causes involuntary jaw extension (Edit: Acute dystonia, apparently). Hope that's interesting! Glad you liked the vid!

The first homeowner shouldn't have opened his door but maybe ask what number he was trying to reach and call for him. Since he has been roaming around trying to look harmless proves to me that he is not harmless at all...He's up to no good. He's looking to see who is in the house, he's probably checking for a woman alone vulnerable. Truly gives me the creep I'm surprised no one asked what he needed help with in the middle of the night. That face masked creep at the end...Holy cow!
Keep your blinds shut as soon as the sun goes down don't let anyone see what's going on inside.
I got serious "serial killer wannabe" vibes from him..
Honestly the first homeowner did good protecting his other neighbors. He probably knew one of them or one of his neighbors were someone of vulnerability. Very much a good thing if you're far from urban areas; most houses are a mile apart from each other out there.

The phone call thing reminds me of an unsettling situation I had as a child. Whole family was home, me, mom and dad. Dog laying in the living room by the fireplace. Man knocked on the door, dad answered. Man asked to use the phone. Our dog started going absolutely berserk, wanted to tear the man to pieces. All 3 of us stood there, staring at the man as dad held the dog by the collar while it was snarling and barking at him. He used the phone and left. Dad closed the door, locked it, he and mom exchanged a look and they sat back down looking tense while the dog stood in front of the door for like a half hour after that. Nothing happened after that, but I've no doubt the dog caused this man to reconsider whatever his plan was.
Assuming that really happened I would definitely trust the dog's judgement - in general animals are good judges of character, he probably sensed/smelled something on that guy he didn't like. I'm of course assuming your dog wasn't regularly overly territorial/protective of the family.
The "Are you sure" Guy is truly creepy... I had to check if i wasn't somehow playing the same footage on loop because it was so surreal.... He sounds exactly the same every damn time and then suddenly when Mr nightmare told me he wasn't actually talking to anyone ... Yeah that was just even more disturbing
We had a guy bury himself under some tarps in our gazebo a few months back. Husband didn't see him at first until he popped his head up. The 3rd story hits home. I was living in NYC back in 1988. I was 22 yrs old in my 1st apartment at 145 E 26th St. It was about 3:00am and I was coming home from being out at the bars with some friends. I put my key in the first door, then as I was opening the second door, a guy rushed in, pushed me up against the door and told me he would kill me if I made a noise. I got the second door open and he put his left arm around my neck, and was rubbing his right hand up my leg under my skirt, while he was holding a gun. I really thought I was going to die right then and there. All of a sudden, the elevator came down and there were people laughing inside it...he ran out the door so fast. 9:46 "She described the mask as having this grotesque smile that never went away."
Yes, that's how masks work. The expression never changes; that's physically impossible.
It would've been scarier if the smile went away...
The last story is incredibly creepy! The smiling mask, the way they try to open the door, and the fact that they wipe their fingerprints away. I'll never understand why some people don't lock their doors. It can literally save your life.
"The way HE tried to open the door, and the fact that HE tried to wipe HIS fingerprints away." The story mentions that this is a man and there was no mention that he was a cross dresser or transgender or identified as a woman or any of the other issues that would make one hesitate to ascribe "he" and "his" to the story. 9:06 Why was that zoom in so funny? 😂
The mask isn’t scary it’s just funny 😂
As a 16 year old who experienced something like this before its terrifying, except the thing I experienced was much more deeper than this since it was actually a stalker. It happened last year, someone was knocking on the door at around 8 pm while my parents were away for a week - I looked at the camera not knowing who it is but I assumed it was just a normal guy, he said that he “accidentally” threw the ball somewhere around the house, pretty much our backyard. I told him to wait so I can go ahead and search for a ball at the backyard, 5 mins later I come back letting him know that there is no ball around and that he might’ve just threw it somewhere else.
He wanted me to let him in so he could search for the ball and obviously I’m not gonna let a random guy into the house to search for a ball that was never there, I tried to be respectful as much as I could but things kept getting creepier and creepier until I said that I would call the cops on him if he doesn’t leave me alone, he then started repeating his question which was, “Are you alone?” And kept getting louder and aggressive, I walked away to get my phone and call the cops and I went back to the camera and told him that I called the cops on him just so he could leave me alone, he started kicking the door really hard and at that point I honestly didn’t know what to do since I can get pretty dumb when I start to panic - he kept calling me things like whore, slut, bitch and so on and it was so disturbing that I started thinking that maybe he was mentally ill or something, the cops thankfully came there and arrested him, he was an 18 year old guy who my neighbors claimed that he has been passing by our house every 1-2 days - creepy thing is I’m the type of person who goes for a lot of walks so I’m just wondering if he was ever following me, it’s honestly traumatizing.
Dang sounds like a heck of a story
I’m so sorry honey…
It sounds like he was stalking you because he exposed himself when you were alone he knew you'd have no one around. That is one heck of a story and I'm so happy you made it without a scratch. Hopefully that guy is in jail rotting where he belongs. Predatory behavior should not be tolerated on our societies. Act like a predator, rot in prison where predators belong.
God was really looking out for you! He was watching you. Thank God that everything worked out in your favor.
Had a car do a drive-by on my house. I live in a quiet neighborhood with a surprising number of cop neighbors and retired folk. It's by no means a bad part of town. We thought the sounds were fireworks at first. Shot a hole through one of our parked car windows, another car's bumper, and a few we never found. The only explanation I could come up with was that we were confused with our neighbors across from us. They were the only house in the neighborhood that seemed to do somewhat sketchy stuff. There was a period of time when they had loud parties that rattled our glass panes late a night (2:00-4:00 am straight), people in and out of the house all the time, and a few other notable memories.
These neighbors once, literally, threw a girl out of their house with all her belongings. I also remember, a neighbor who lived directly beside them told me that they'd hop her fence and do seances and rituals in her back-yard late at night. In my memory, she also said she found dead stuff in her back-yard too, I think. Those bad neighbors have moved, thank goodness.
Staying frosty is so important, when it comes to strangers at your door. Here are some tips on how to protect yourself & your home, & I apologise that this so long, but it's all important information.
1. Never open your door for strangers past sunset; talk them thru the screen-door if you have one, otherwise through the wood door or a (closed) window.
2. If they ask for a phone, offer to make the call for them. If they say you won't know the number, then ask them to recite it for you. If this stumps them*, or they wander off, call the police (yes, even if they've already left - they may be still somewhere nearby, either looking for other victims or planning another attempt). If they become agitated, call the police. If they try to get inside, call the police. Immediately.
3. Don't engage in conversation, or threats, or exhortations to them to leave you alone; simply immediately call the police, & let them hear you doing it.
4. Don't give into fear, keep your wits about you, & simply *CALL THE POLICE* .
5. If they begin behaving aggressively, repeat that the cops are on their way, that they've been captured by your porch camera (even if you don't have one), & deliberately force yourself into a state of anger so that they can hear it in your voice + inform them you are armed (don't tell them what w.; even if all you have is a cricket bat or a kitchen knife, it still counts as a weapon [& specifying to them what you _do_ have gives them a chance to work out if they're willing to risk it] + you don't want to give them any information to work by) & that if they get inside you _will_ hurt them bc you've had just about enough of their bullshit.
6. And if they make it inside, immediately withdraw w. your weapon at maximum speed to a room w. a door that locks + ideally a window while simultaneously calling the police back to let them know the situation, lock the door + block it w. anything you can & then escape through the window if possible + run to a neighbour's house, & if not just hide as well as you can + wait for the cavalry to arrive while staying on the line w. emergency services (as whisper-quiet as you can, so they can't hear you through the locked door).
Women living alone, elderly folk, & ppl who are visibly disabled - wheelchair users in particular - + living alone, are all victims who can be specifically targeted by a particular would-be thief/assailant as especially vulnerable (after previous casing/stalking, chilling tho that thought may be), so the getting-angry-&-making-threats approach may not be enough in these cases; the threat-person may feel secure that you are not in a physical position to do them real harm.
-
For this reason, it is highly recommended that you have a recording of large-sounding dogs barking + growling on your phone, & either begin to play it as you yourself are approaching the door (yes, before just even speak to your nighttime caller - JIC) so that the sound "accompanies" your travel towards it OR while you are at the door, "call" the dogs & immediately play a second soundfile of simple barking, beginning reasonably quiet + then slowly increasing the volume to simulate the dogs traveling towards you & then switch to the aggressive-sounding file once they "reach the door".
And play it _loudly_ , so loud that you + the person outside are having to raise your voices to be heard above the "dogs".
-
Never say, "I have dogs in here!" if the person seems to be presenting a threat; since the noises make it "obvious", it may seem like you're selling it _too_ hard, & the threat-person may intuit that if your dogs were real you wouldn't feel the need to state it, + decide to make the gamble that you're bluffing (which, of course, you are).
-
Just - what do we say? - *call the police* as soon as you start to get a bad feeling from their response to your initial refusal to open the door/let them have your phone, arm yourself + tell them so in an aggressive voice, let the "dogs" present an obvious danger on their own, & tell them that the police are on their way + that they've been caught on camera. This should be enough to send most packing, & the ones who are determined enough to keep trying to get in are the really unhinged/sociopathic/high ones who are exactly the reason you'll be _especially_ glad the cops will soon arrive to protect you from.
It's not living fearfully, it's living defensively & it could just save your life. You may go your whole life w.o. ever having contact with someone who presents a danger to you, but if you do, it's important to have a plan.
*Ppl in genuine need will settle for you offering to make the call they want *for* them, once they understand from you that that's the only choice on offer. If they keep trying to convince you to do *anything else*, then call the police.
That man with his hands up in the first video looked quite genuine, but then again, one never knows. The third one with the woman being robbed as she enters the home was quite horrific. Thank God she and her roommate were unharmed.
I have seen the bearded/tattooed man content before and he is horrifying!! Gives me chills even on a second watch! Love these videos with visuals!
That's even scarier!
That one especially is extremely disturbing!
And that mugshot 😬
Thank god she didbt open the door i have no doubt he wld have hurt her
@@mendingwall3823 No kidding! Can we say "possessed"?
This video compilation proves that humans are capable of being some of the scariest, unsettling, and corrupt things to encounter.
No doubt!
That's why animals avoid us in the wild, usually. Only an alpha predator like a bear or lion dares to attack us one on one. As a whole were pretty unstable and capable of a lot of damage.
Man, videos like this make me so glad to be an intelligent human being with a head on my shoulders. The first family is smart!
No amount of stories I've seen on this channel will ever be as chilling as these real footage ones. The "Are you sure?" man is truly terrifying.
His mugshot is creepy too
The woman in the rain with an umbrella and her mouth hung open and the one where the two teens rushed up behind the woman entering her home scared me. And that one who kept asking “Are you sure?”, I’ve seen so many times. Still freaks me out.
@Santamaria Viloria Are you positive? Are you sure?
There's honestly something creepier about calm, neutral, or collected people saying or doing uncomfortable things that make this more effective! Also: schizophrenia can be dangerous to one's health!

It doesn't mean he had schizophrenia, there are a number of fellow psychiatric disorders that you can hear voices and stuff like that. If you ask me it seems he switches into another personality, rather than just talking to another voice/voices. I've worked around people like him and they both had Dissociative indenity disorder (Split Personality/Personalities) real creepy stuff to witness but they need help fast
I cant even imagine how scary the are you sure guy was for the woman in the house.
But as a guy, imagining if that were my wife and being far away and hearing this is absolutely terrifying and leaves me feeling helpless for him. So glad she didnt answer the door and the guy was arrested.
That dude smile creeps me out.
Please everyone stay safe
8:10 is the most disturbing shit I've ever seen.
Literally bro
The scary part is that the door the bearded miscreant was knocking on had a glass window which he could easily have broken, reached in and opened the door. People seem to think glass is magic or something, nobody can figure out how to get through it. If you have any kind of windows they have to be Lexan and double.
Then why don't you buy them better stronger windows or just shut up
Are you sure? Are you positive? He just wanted to ask a couple questions.
@@FukcAUsername Most annoying psychopath ever.
Aesthetics over protection.
Still, the thought of smashing through a glass door and severing an artery or hell even just leaving forensics, might deter a more wily criminal.
I just realized how many times this would have happened before the ring camera was inverted
Watching these is scary but knowing one of them happens near you… is scarier

I got a bunch of cameras around my house. The only thing I ever caught was the very first night I had them installed, some cat came hang out on my porch
