I don't know if he actually pushed her, but he definitely didn't see her as a person, but more like a play thing. He probably thought it'd be fun to have her be terrified of being locked out on the balcony without a way out. I mean just the arrogant way he started the conversation on the tinder all seemed to suggest that he thinks of himself as some kind of alpha male or something, or maybe just superior to everyone.

That happened to my friends and I we were at a party but we left,and there was about 20 people still left at the party partying , We found out later a girl we knew was on the balcony, everyone was drunk. Well this girl somehow fell off and died it was like 10 or so up could have been 16 we forget but it was a cement building and a known party animal house.we read few days later in the post that she fell backwards off balcony and died. Weird thing was their was no railing just a cement wall for a railing. 8 people say she got locked out and pushed others say she drunk and fell off it was never solved. She was only 15 I think. Moral of story my friends and I glad we left while we did. We would have ended up getting nightmares.

Here’s the thing with the case with Gabel, even if everything he said about the girl is true, that still doesn’t excuse him locking her out at the balcony, if he really wanted her to leave him alone, than he would’ve moved her out through his front door, the fact he got away with this scott free is sickening

I'm surprised her not screaming "No!" numerous times wasn't enough to lock him up. He stole her phone and shoved her out onto the balcony against her will. I knew his face looked familiar but didn’t think too much of it, we added each other on instagram and chatted for a bit but his messages were just weird and I started trying to remember why he looked so familiar. It clicked. I felt SICK to my stomach. He’s actually legally changed his name. Even his instagram gave me the creeps before I realised who he was. Talk about close call on that red flag!!

99% of tinder and bumble dates are perfectly normal people, there’s bad apples in everything. You hear about bad car accidents but still drive a car right? Planes can crash but people still fly. The "meeting in the park" story reminds me of a scary time I had myself. I was living in Toronto at the time, I lived near Broadview station on the east side of the DVP (a big valley that is partially wooded and has a highway going through it). I used to go play video games with my buddy who lived on the west side of the DVP. These gaming sessions would usually go on pretty late into the night. There were 2 ways I could get home, either take a longer route that would take me over a big bridge that went over the valley (bloor/danforth bridge for you Torontonians) or I could cut through a large park (Riverside park) that went down into the valley with a little bridge over the river/highway.
This night I decided to cut through the large park. As I was walking down I noticed a woman crying down the path. Strange and a little eerie as it must have been at least 1 or 2 am at this point. I thought maybe she was just going through a rough time and wanted to be somewhere secluded to let off some steam. I continued walking, but as I walked past her the woman looked up, although it wasn't a woman, it was a guy and he was staring right at me, giving me the creepiest smile I have ever seen. At first he didn't do anything but look so I just quickly walked past. I got some really bad feelings about this situation though so after walking a short distance I turned around to see if he was following me. Fuck, he was.
I came up with a quick plan. I was almost at the bridge, which would momentarily put me out of his sight. I knew the park fairly well and I knew there was a little patch of trees and shrubs at the other end of the bridge. As soon as I broke sight with him on the bridge I booked it. I got to the end of the bridge and didn't see him at the other end yet so I took the opportunity to dive into the bushes. From the bushes I saw the guy start running once he realized I wasn't where he thought I would be. The fact he started running confirmed to me he was planning something pretty bad. He passed the bushes and I waited for a fair while before I was certain the coast was clear and quickly jogged out of the park and got home.
I took the long way home from that day forward.
Do you still live in Toronto?

Well, she was drunk out of her mind and thats not debatable. When your intoxicated, you make decisions and choices completely opposite of logical and in this case, safe. No doubt he put her in that situation, but it's hard to argue that a judge, jury, and investigators failed to find a piece of evidence that says he pushed her off. Especially when the trial was on the news a lot, so public pressure was definitely there as well.

You could hear her still screaming when he locked her on the balcony , not to mention her legs dangling clearly showed her attempting to climb down while very intoxicated. Him putting her on the balcony didn't cause her to die, her climbing over it caused her to die.
After she refused to leave peacefully, he was obviously just trying to get her away from him or contain her the most efficient way possible, perhaps to either wait til she calms down, to call the police, whatever. Not a single person on earth would have thought she would climb over the railing to inevitable death seconds later.

There is no difference between meeting creeps online vs public. You don’t know who you are running into and you meet them face first eventually.
I feel like you have a very high chance of getting off vibes from someone on the first meeting in person. Even if you are talking to someone for months online you have no clue what type of personality they have and such. Yes, a person face-to-face can lie and charm you but at least that takes a lot of effort and practice to do. Whereas, online you can have no social skills at all and still seem funny and charming.

You can definitely spot red flags and alarming behaviour from someone just online/via chatting which should cause you to Not wanna meet that person. However, if you'd met that same person on the streets it sounds a whole lot scarier to me, because they are within physical reach of you, meaning you are inadvertently in grave danger, but online you have the safety of distance and you get to 'Read' them without having them anywhere near you. I'd argue that's safer tbh.

I used a dating app once. I got a mad woman with like 5 kids & 3 ex husbands. I never used a dating app again.
One time, I got robbed by my tinder date. Turns out, she was a heroin addict. More recently, a month or so ago actually, I was supposed to meet with a woman at the local park in broad daylight to avoid this sorta situation, but the whole time, I was surveying and keeping tabs on cars around me. One car with two guys in it, and they were eyeing me. I was there a total of about two hours before I left and went back home. We were gonna try to meet again the next weekend, as the guys in the car reasonably could have just been there to roll up n smoke a blunt since its legal now. I got bad vibes from her and the guys in the car, especially since they were in the car nearby for quite some time, possibly the whole time I was there, almost as if they were waiting for me to let my guard down. That does not happen anymore though, so I took out my butterfly knife and started playing with it. I sent some side eye "I'm watching you" looks their way and they must have either been weirded out by this or somethin cuz they moved their car a bit further, but it's almost as if they didn't wanna let me outta their sight. I told the chick she had to show soon or I was heading home and she never showed so I headed home. She wanted to try again that weekend but I ended up not talking to her anymore. The bad vibes, the weirdly coincidental dudes in the park, it had to be a sign or sumn.
Watching Mr.Nightmare made me super cautious on who I talked to on dating apps and to always meet in a public place. Thanks to that, I dodged the creeps and met the love of my life. Thank you Mr.Nightmare for keeping us safe ❤

Strange at how different sentences for murder are. The man who stabbed his ex-wife’s date gets 40 years but the guy who murdered Grace Millane and did whatever he could to cover up the crime only gets 17 years. Truly scary. (I get that they’re actually in two different countries,as many have pointed out, I didn’t realize that when I posted)
Different nations, different laws. You also have the ex husband who clearly had a history of abuse against his wife and the restraining order, which shows clear intent to harm, as well as not only did he kill the date but also attacked the ex wife (2 victims instead of 1) and then came back into the restaurant to repeatedly stab the date even tho he has already down on the ground. So there are more charges than just basic murder.

The guy ended up stabbing my boyfriend twice in the knee when he refused to give the guy his wallet. He’s doing really well now and is an amazing partner, but there are really sick people out there and it is crucial to learn to recognize red flags and immediate “no-gos” when talking about meeting up with new people. Never go to their house and never invite them to yours, don’t go to a secluded location at night, and if it seems creepy, it probably is. Be safe out there, y’all. ❤

The story with Gabriel is so tucked up. I dated a man who loves living on the top floor of high rises and had many arrests for domestic abuse that I did not know about until he would not let me leave, slammed my arm in the door when I tried, disconnected all the phones and confiscated mine, and would not stop hitting/ choking throwing me around no matter how much I begged and cried. I thought in that moment that I was going to die. It was all because he thought I stole money from him when he was missing $20 out of his wallet. He was very disorganized but I would never steal from anyone and was so desperately in puppy love. he had a balcony and it was the only place for me to go out of fear and the only way he coaxed me off the balcony was when he threatened to throw me off it. After an hour, two black eyes dislocated shoulder, cauliflower ears and a lifetime of ptsd the neighbor finally called the cops as he had multiple times before. I remember them watching out their apartment as police photographed me watching me like it was a show. I was stone cold sober but if I was drunk I guarantee I would’ve thought the 16th floor balcony was the only way to escape. They only came after he stopped with the entire apartment trashed and me half naked with him apologizing offering to take me to the hospital when everything cooled down. I’ll never forget the time in the ive as I ran from room to room, finally laying down In bed with the cops breaking down the door telling me to be quiet. Unfortunately I was young and stupid and after three months went back to him. I knew nothing else, and of course it happened again. This time because he thought I cheated on him. (Being a careless cheater who had no intention of hiding it himself). If he would get angry I would try to escape or walk away and he assumes any time that happened that I was cheating and would try to ‘beat’ the ‘truth’ out of me. I never cheated so he never got a ‘confession’ and it persisted until the cops caught him in the act after the neighbors called in a similar situation. Once again on a top floor of a high rise but the second time I blacked out and only remember running out naked bleeding from every hole in my face chasing him out only to see the police arrive on my floor in the elevator. I feel terrible for this woman. I was sober but trapped. Stupid, and allowed myself to become trapped. But young with no family and wanted love and security. The fact that this kid obviously had daddys support and a high rise apartment and had multiple calls for domestic disturbances is far to familiar to me. Women please do not take any chances. If it happens once it will happen again. It is so sad that for this woman this was the first encounter and it ended up this way. People will do anything to try to save themselves. Unfortunately and fortunately for me, I knew that allowing myself to get beat in that particular moment in time would be safer than trying to scale a 16th floor balcony- but my heart goes out to this young woman for doing whatever she thought was necessary to save herself. It takes more courage than people realize and this woman did not deserve an end like this.
The thing that gets me in the case with the girl falling off the balcony, is that the dude only says things like “ why does this always happen to ME” like someone didn’t just die…

This is why I don't use Tinder or any dating apps pretty much, it's just full of creeps like this. True, it might not be the same for everyone, but I hear more bad stories about it than the good ones. Also, I am pretty sure Tinder became more of a hook up app than a dating app at this point, even if you get someone somewhat normal they most likely are just looking for a one night stand or something. I don't think I ever heard of anyone who met on that app have established a normal relationship.
