While this video was good, it didn't reveal the statistics of each car's safety. Please include that, otherwise as a viewer it is difficult to make sense which was better in reality.
Don't read too much into this. Seek driver education and advance driving skills rather than what's the safest car. It's really pointless.
@@palco22 That's totally different thing. While those aspects are also important, it doesn't make "safe cars" pointless!
Everyone starts as inexperienced driver and is more likely to make mistakes whether they are small or big ones.
One main benefit of driving "safe cars" (physically and digitally) is to reduce damages from or prevent those mistakes to happen in the first place.
When my parents gave me their 2013 Volvo V60, I never expected that it's gonna prevent 3 potentially fatal accidents when I wasn't experienced.
I am/was not a reckless driver, but just did some stupid newbie mistakes at 100-120 km/hr like wrong brake distance estimation, not looking at the road for 2 sec, etc.
The car warned me, activated its safety system, and let me continue to drive without any accidents.
Of course, I learned from my mistakes but it could be very costly otherwise.
So please don't say that it's pointless.
@@peterphanuwat5397 I was just making the point that regardless of how safe the vehicle is, a poor driver remains the nomber one danger in any circumstance. I'm a retired driver instructor and driver education trainer. Learning the basics and constant application of these basic rules of driving will always be the safest option. Pointless also includes economics ! Billions of $ are spent on research and development of making "safer" cars. Every aspect of the auto industry generates big money world wide. From the tow truck operator to the salvage yards and ever thing in between depend heavily on the "car". Now consider the amount spent on driver education and one understands the reason of all the mayhem witnessed on roads every where. Of course a safe and well engineered vehicle is an added bonus but put any average joe in let's say a Tesla, and he'll bring along all his poor driving habits, his neglected basic skills, his bad driving attitude, his need to blame every one else for a bad situation and disregards all the basic rules of the road. If he doesn't drive the latest high tech intelligent vehicle, he'll get a dashcam and invite everyone to watch just how bad he or she drives while believing it's every one else that cause the problem.
Seek driver education and advance driving skills rather than depend on the safest car.

They got all these impact sensors why don’t they use them to automatically put on the hazard lights to warn people say your unconscious and say it dark outside your car is in the middle of the interstate if there would be auto hazard lights it may be able to warn oncoming vehicles so they don’t hit you and finish you off while your still unconscious

Well you are better off in a less rigid chassis. If the chassis is too stiff. All the energy gets transferred into the occupants.
@@ballerblocks This is why the F-150 is usually a top scorer in safety, while most people made fun of Ford for making most of the panels aluminum (heck even other companies like gm and chevy made fun of them) it has been so good at crumpling and absorbing all the energy that barely anything happens to the occupants inside, while the outside may look like a total truck, it's literally the safest place to be, that's what people never understood.

Wowwwwwww😯as a auto technician i deal with electrical issues everyday with these newer cars and I think that's a safety issue in itself😅electronic throttle bodies and these self driving cars can malfunction and be very catastrophic🤦♂️i miss the old throttle cable and the actual driver controlling the vehicle😏

It's called Euro Crash Test because the buildings where they perform it are made out of solid concrete. If it would be an American crash test and the building would me made out of plywood and covered with shingles the car would just fly through it and not realize there is a serious crash 😂
