- I Can't Believe They Still Eat Dog's Here 🇰🇭
In this installment, we head out again with my Cambodian buddy "Black" on his chariot tuk-tuk. We head out to see some things in the town of Phnom Penh, first we find a yard filled with vehicles which have been confiscated by the police which have been involved in accidents, we then head road side to a village which was selling barbequed dog.
After this we head to the markets to find some more disturbing things and then check out an abandoned French town.

We’re Cambodian are preventing people from eating dogs too but there’s no law about eating dogs so it’s getting out of hand here.
Yeah, sad but slowly trying to change specific ways.
I can't understand how some ppl can eat dogs :(
Grown up with dogs and for me they are long time friends no food.
I appreciate all the content you do also :)
Hindus be looking at you in disgust as you eat your big Mac lol
@cookdislander4372 😂 it’s true!
See? Marco has a sense of humor, but he also understand old cultural ways.
Asians back then, went through famine/slavery and they had no choice but to eat what they see. Then some made it a delicacy, but majority of us don’t condone this. 😢
great informative video! thanks..Shared..
Another great video from the intrepid traveler 😊
great video again mate, and what is that street your staying on at the end looks familiar, also keep up the great work and great content!
Hey mate it’s called Street 136! Great nightlife, plenty happening … 75c beers too
Thank you 🙏🏽
Great video, Marco. Still hope you’ll stay with us in the prime summer time here in Traverse City. There’s no better place to spend the 4th of July than here. It’s often called the Caribbean of the north. But the season is short. Only 90 days so your window for visiting during prime time is between Memorial Day and Labor Day. May-Sept. with July being epic time
Thank you buddy!
I won’t be there. Unfortunately, I’ll be in South America on my first time. 😎
Your Vlogs are really raw and awesome, Marco. But I couldn’t bring myself to watch this episode where they still eat dogs, too painful to watch!! 😢😢
Thank you! Yes I understand
Nice video ❤❤❤❤
Happy birthday and merry Christmas friend
Merry Christmas to you and your family 😁🎄
All animals are precious not just the fluffies.
Thanks for showing what most wouldnt .
❤
I definitely resonate with your statement!
Thanks!
Bro you are the best! You really didn’t have to do that! You’ve already been so great, I’m blown away when I even see a $5 donation 😅🤯
@marcoroams hey its Christmas and my shopping is completed . I'm happy to give so your journey continues.
love your videos bro here before a million subscribers
100,000 first my man, then on the road to the big 1 MIL 🥳
Thank you for your support 🥳
Marco you inspire me everyday i love you
I love you too 😁
I only ate vegetables when I was there and when I came home I saw documentary on farming and it said they use human waste to fertilise veggies and saw floating villages where their sewage goes straight in water and kids swim in it and they fish 🐠 in it same as Vietnam slaughter in paddocks and put on back of motorcycle taken to market and sit in sun till sold 😰🫢
Wow that is absolutely mental! Makes me sick ahaha
Black is a good guy. Need to give his contact so if I decide to go there can contact him for tours.
Yeah mate really good guy!

Hi Marco awesome video brings back so many living there. The dogs are trained to protect the business or house. They can be brutal I was attacked many times living in communities. As for meat if you have the traditional breakfast like pho and the meat is silver you know what it is. Sugar cane is so good I highly recommend taking it with lime. I know your a beer drinker it takes a bit of the sweetness out. Take care bro Khmer people are awesome but it can be very dangerous
Thanks brother!!
Yeah it all makes sense, dogs will act a certain way depending on their upbringing …. The Aussie dogs I meet are usually nothing but love, (however I did get bitten by a little white one once)
But when I travel the dogs just don’t seem to want to know me … the cats on the other hand are usually quite friendly
As a person that loves my dog, I would never ever Goto a place that eats dog. As a fellow Aussie Marco well done in showing all these vids. Myself and my wife are planning a trip to Thailand in the near future. Well done cobber 👍👍👍
It's gonna be rough, because they eat dog in Thailand too lol
@@lanicoya yes but I'm sure not in Bangkok. I would trust Bangkok more than Cambodia
Thanks buddy! Cheers 🇦🇺
I literally found out about the dog thing when I was there, I knew they did it in some parts in Asia but I assumed it would be right in the provinces, not 20 minutes out of town
dont go to Switzerland also lol
@lanicoya You are so wrong Thailand don't eat dog. It's against Thai law if you harm pets such as dogs 🐕 you can be jail up to 2 years and a fine of 40000 Baht.....Some migrant workers from Cambodia breaking the law killing street dog and eating it....
Bro your like the new up and coming Aussie Kurt Cazza muaaaaate 😂❤
🇳🇿😎🤝🤠🇦🇺
Haha thanks bro! I hope so 😁✌🏼
Very interesting 👌 vlog omg eating dogs😮😢
Try any soup at The Noodle House in PP bro (especially the curry fish one), absolutely delish!
I used to live in PP and eat every second day at the one near the Riverside area.
Just don't think too much about where the fish has come from or what it ate lol.
Hahaha that’s what worries me! The fish 🎣😂
Omg, they shouldn't eat fluffies 😵😵 The sea creatures are treated in such a cruel way, wow 😵💫 I have to admit that the children were very polite and didn't scream at you to give them money. Appreciate your content, Marco 🥰
The kids were lovely there, very respectful and friendly… 🙏🏽
Oh wow imagine.. you like children in this video 😂🤭
blokes got a parra jersey on , love it
Hahaha how good is it hey 😂
Marci you gotta start a food channel Start with the Cambodian delicacies
husband following along today = in the PH, you can tell the feral dogs that are afraid of humans, even local dogs
that cower away from humans = they are chased, rocks thrown at them, always yelled at. Few dogs here are ever treated
well unless you are rich enough to have a dog for show off. There are pet doctors now, but locals who can't feed their own
kids properly are not going to care for an animal. That's why I always tell any hired help that I care more for my dogs then I
do for your kids.
# 5 back to the French Bldg. is the guard there just to keep folks away or is he on his own and doing that just to
make a little extra money ? Labor must be really cheap to hire a guard to be there wo watch the area. My wife gave
out to all the area guards around us a small ham, 200 pesos and 500 pesos cash for a Christmas gift, 16 in all. We have
one or two guards at night about 50' from our gate on a corner and they watch our place and keep outside locals ( as much
as possible ) from coming into our resort. Constant battle - never won but only slowed down. Your guide is quite nice.
Yeah it’s always nice to reward good service.
No idea what the guard was doing there, but it was a bit random…
Black the guide is a very nice guy and I still talk to him today! Like most people in my videos
MERRY CHRISTMAS MR. MARCO - WHERE EVER
YOU ARE.
I was looking for junkyard in Cambodia but couldn’t find on
Marco when is your next video. Are you in Cebu?
Hello I am doing the video a week a part again now.
Yes in Cebu city
@@marcoroams Thanks.
11:26 That is lotus stems 12:27 preserved eggs in charcoal (century eggs?)
I’m Cambodian since my existences I’ve never heard nor seeing someone that eat dog meat Cambodia country people don’t condone nor entice to eat this kind of animal first time i saw this . The French properties are damaging and destroyed during Khmer Rouge Genocide. Cambodia before the Genocide (1975-1979)was a prosperious country . lol! My grandma when she pointed out her hand and saying that she is going to visit her friend and that kind of gesture it’s typically Cambodian custom she didn’t ask you to come ! she just wanted you to know as well her way to get there . 😅🥰
Dogs are barking at him cause he's wearing an eels top 😂
Everyone to their own but i hope I never have to unknowingly eat dog meat, just the sound of it.
.......I really don`t know.
anyway I have really enjoyed your video, thanks for taking the time to share
# 3 same in the ph side tips are kind of slipped on the sly on the down low. Try to hand a tip in the open
will be refused most of the time. Oh no sir, we do not take tips for helping, info, or what ever.
wonder how he got his Parramatta Eels jersey 2:48
I think Australia has the world’s third biggest Cambodian community outside of Asia (after France and the USA). In Sydney most Cambodian-Australians live in or were raised in Fairfield council. This is where I grew up, and my high school was pretty much evenly split between the Bulldogs, Tigers and Eels!
This really makes my blood boil 🤬
Eating dog was just recently banned in America 2018 but is still legal for Native rituals. Also people eat dog on Switzerland. So yhea 🍽️
Crazy getting that on film 😂
Yup! 😅
Soksobuy means hello . He didn’t ask you if you wanna buy lol
😂😂😂
that bus had Korean writing on it......
G'day dude I can see that you like dogs and cats as you always pat them, but just keep in mind that most if not all of them have never been vaccinated therefore one bite or scratch could see you hospitalized for some time.
Maybe the dogs are angry and skittish as they think you ate their bro 🙂
Gday mate! Yeah you do make a good point … haven’t been attacked so far 😅
But yeah these dogs know the go I think! They are different there
Cambodian 0.2% Eat dog not mean 99% eat dog. Insect food such as spiders, snakes is not the food of the Cambodian people because the Pol Pot regime forced the Cambodian people to eat these things, but after the fall of the Pol Pot regime, people still eat only 1% of these people until now.
the cambodian parramatta fullback is back again 😂 its so sad that they still eat dogs in rural areas, show how bad poverty is
Go Parra!! 😂
# 4 there is one big hotel, restaurant bldg. that was closed or not allowed to open for several years because
not enough money greased someone's palm. The old Mayor on Lapu Lapu lost out on a lot of tax money from one
big business because she got so greedy that what she wanted was way more taxes then was legal or moral to ask. The company just moved to a cheaper area. Now that huge business and apt. house stands empty. corruption from the top.
Definitely sounds like the common story!!
That cop car was American...a Chevrolet Impala from the mid 90s. No freaking dog for me either man I'd be sick for sure! Same as you I would question eating any meat of any king there sitting in the sun with bugs and flies. Where you have meat and flies you have maggots even tiny ones you can hard see. No focking way!!! Haha They're used to it but it would do some bad things to us westerners!!!
Hahaha definitely man, didn’t touch meet there the entire time.
Ahh so I was right about he cop car … I wonder why it was there? Movie prop?
@@marcoroams Yeah Im not sure but I wouldn't doubt its a movie car. Hard to believe They would have Chevys imported for cop cars but who knows I guess. Do you see newer Chevrolet's or fords driving around now or is all like smaller Japanese cars?
Closer to early 2000s
Yeah mostly more modern cars, all the hot brand, Toyotas, Hyundai
i like using USD in Cambodia but its also the only place ive had people not want to take a dollar because it was old and worn. I
Man that sugar cane juice is delicious isn't it!
I'm definitely a meat eater but seeing just a glimpse of what you have seen I totally can understand why you are eating fruits and vegetables
Yeah mate as am I! But it turned me off it for a bit,
Plus even if I didn’t effect me, I don’t want to eat out and think that the meat came from a market sitting in the hot sun, obviously okay for a locals belly, but not mine
🎉🎉🎉🎉
🐶
Marco I like you, but I can’t watch this video.
✌🏻💙
9:46 👀👀👀👀👀👀
“Pets” 🤨
😫🤬
Go to Myanmar mr
still havent found a video i dont like man pretty original
# 2 I bet the meat cutters don't wash the cutting board of the blood before they cut the veggies either. Even our
maids, I need to know that they have a little education about clean living. That was a lot of food out - and I always
wonder if it will all sell or do they try to sell it the next day ?
CuriooPirpo
I don't like people that refuse to try dog meat
😂😂😂
How do you go to a country and not learn how they say hello? The man on the street market was saying sok sabai not stuff to buy you should also be more mindful of other cultures and not be so entitled and rude!
Honesty, learning difficulties, memory problems and pressure being on the spot when I have to try to remember the words to be completely honest …
Harsh comment man, it's obvious this Ozzie dude has a good heart, he wasn't acting entitled!
I agree with you. He was just asking, "How are you?" It only takes a few minutes to memorize and become familiar with very basic words.
I agree whole heartedly. Jog on back to Australia if you don't like their customs..
also whilst being in Australia he would never dare Criticize a Muslim for e.g...what a hypocrite
Wowsers, how about the losers above ^.
Thanks!
Thanks so much for your continued support!! 👌🏽🙏🏽👏🏽
