Hello
Hi
W
sup
I love you Tyler ❤️
I was a fetanyl addict for over 10 years. Happened by accident after a broken elbow surgery in high school. I graduated high school an addict. The pills became too expensive so i switched to powder. My entire 20's was wasted. Thankfully i decided to get professional help, and my family went all in for me. In May of this year, I'll be sober for 7 years. I have a beautiful son, was able to take over the family business, and life honestly couldn't get any better. I don't consider myself to be any better than these guys. I'm just one of the lucky ones.
My husband’s cousin got hooked on OxyContin. He was set to go pro for baseball too and was injured hence the meds. He is clean now with a family of his own, but we all had things stolen at times to fund his habit. At my brother-in-law’s wedding he stole some of their gifts too. Mostly the gift cards and money in envelopes. The family stuck by him though and he was in and out of rehab a few times until finally done. They had to put locks on so many things and someone pretty much was always with him to watch him. Mostly when it got REALLY bad. Glad he is so much better now, a nice guy.
Happy for you
Congratulations on turning your life around and overcoming! After going through such a hell, you deserve to be happy and healthy ❤️
Sounds like you're lucky there was a family business to take over...
You are lucky. Congrats.
"Whatcha doing, Heroin?" "Hell no, methamphetamine." 😭

He said some
“There’s levels to this shit”

Right then that one lady said body lice infection like bitch that’s that meth
It's not funny but it's funny at the same time
At least he is honest..😂
This documentary is so insightful, impactful, and heartbreaking. Over a dozen years ago in Denver I was involved in a local effort to try to get police to get drug dealers off the streets of Capitol Hill. It was fast becoming dirty and depressing and still it was not near 1/100 of the despair shown in this video. it was tiring and I left. Kudos to the people trying to stay in SF and improve it.
Why these people aren't work...Dont't have jobs
I run a small practice in Denver... I think what ppl don't see with cities that have larger harm reduction efforts, are all the free medical assistance that goes on, and all the ppl that get clean. Needles have alwaysss been free-- for those thinking these kits aren't good-- but they also often contain narcan and sanitation that reduces city costs for ER visits due to infection and first responders spraying narcan. Imo, if ppl want to make an impact, they can start with getting the archaic regulation and restriction off of Methadone ASAP so that fentanyl users can be started at their next dr visit (which for many of these folks, will be the hospital). Let's stop telling doctors that can prescribe fentanyl and oxy that they cannot also prescribe treatment for the dependence caused by these drugs, bc suboxin just doesn't cut it for a lot of these ppl out here.
I feel for you though trying to get dealers out of your city... it is rough in CO right now for sure... but addicts will always be addicts without an effective medical treatment, anyone suffering deserves that effort.
this is dystopia... this is the type of chaos you imagine to see during a major cataclysmic event
So insane. Then we go back to our own lives trying to survive our own problems. This can’t be real life
This is systematically happening by design.
In N Out has NEVER closed a location before in its entire history. This is crazy
That’s what I said!! That’s when you know it’s bad!
Its not bad enough yet, a Waffle House or Popeyes has to close yet. Then you know it’s terrible.
the owner of in N out was a really nice man too... i got to meet him he was friends with a ex boss i had.
If it was a Waffle House then it’d probably have a turret.
The in n out closing is actual in Oakland CA not sf but ok
I was a heroin addict in Alabama years ago. I kept overdosing but waking up for years, my dad finally called the police on me once he found out. Me and all my friends were so angry at my dad for this. I spent 11 and a half months in County jail before my court date. I was released that day and I've never touched that stuff since. My father's tough love saved my life, when all my friends wanted me stuck.
This is a very powerful testimony!
@@nathanminten I agree, but no glory to me. God took me from using a needle daily to becoming a missionary to Africa. It's amazing what harmful things a man will give up when he finds a purpose in life.

This was one of the most fantastic examples of journalism I've ever stumbled across on YT. I feel so fortunate that I'm not in these people's positions in life. If anything this video made me feel incredibly grateful for the amazing parents I had. I'm glad that you're out there making a difference and showing the world how the government is single-handedly destroying beautiful cities around the US, like San Francisco. By the way, I subbed and hit that bell! ❤
“You want to get into treatment?”
“No, I like doing drugs.”
🤣🤣🤣
Have seen many videos where people say exactly the same , also his earlier videos where several people are offered a place to be and so on, the drugs and lifestyle is want they want sadly.
People act like liberals are the problem. The politicians in power and the people are the problem. Democratic or Republicans the politicians all suck.
That’s how they all are, even if they don’t admit it. If they have too much of an ego to admit it, they just make up excuses why they can’t go to treatment or stay in a shelter. They don’t go to treatment or shelters because they can’t do drugs in them and have to follow rules. They refuse to follow rules.
Saw these dudes with a camp and an amazing view by the highway.

@@squibbelsmcjohnson you don’t say
I think people miss the point of what harm reduction is supposed yo be. Harn reduction has nothing to do with reducing the amount of people who are using. Harm reduction is aimed towards reducing the amount of people who get diseases and infections from dirty paraphernalia (HIV, Hep C, endocarditis, etc ) so in a way, yes it helps with certain things but i cant say it doesn't help. People will use if they want, whether they have a clean rig or pipe or not.

I work at a car rental's emergency roadside department and we get multiple vandalism calls daily from the bay. Don't rent a car and visit the Bay area. You're nearly guaranteed to get your windows broken and anything inside stolen. It's awful when people from other countries have their passports taken because they're in the car in their luggage. I recommend researching crime in areas you plan to visit.
The “leadership” in California’s state and local governments should be held accountable for the disgusting conditions their policies and neglect have created!

Seeing someone get kicked out of a store for stopping a thief really shows how far our society is going down. Smh
No just tells you that the theft isn’t affecting their bottom lone
I worked retail at macys for a year in 2022-2023. Once management found out I would kick thieves out and call security if they came in groups of 4+ they told me never call security and just ignore them. Executives across the board are the ones that enabled the rampant theft because even the thieves know the big boys worry more about a lawsuit than the actually items being pilfered. Made me laugh my ass off tbh
Yeah idk mane, these fiends got no quarter smh.
He was so well spoken I didn't realize he was an addict
Wild
The ginger guy is the perfect personification of the narrative that “drug use is great”…..he himself is addicted so every word out of his mouth on the subject is moot and should be ignored.
Everything he says on the subject, he says to protect his own ego and make himself feel and look better (or so he thinks)
“It’s the government’s fault” (maybe but YOU need to quit the drugs, did they put a gun to your head and force you to do it?) and all this talk about how he has no responsibility.
It’s his life. It’s 100% his responsibility but he is too weak to take the responsibility for his own life. So he projects it onto any and everyone else. This is enabling fully grown babies to act like….babies.
As a local, SF really is like this.
Like one block you'll be in a high end fancy neighborhood, walk 2 blocks down, and you'll be in the middle of the tenderloin with people all over the streets doing drugs.
sad really, San Fransisco used to be a really nice place
The Tenderloin has ALWAYS been like that. How long have you lived there?
@@donnasaathoff1220it’s progressively gotten worse. Remember when they added drinking fountains onto the hydrants for the homeless and they turned them all on? It flooded Polk street while the homeless, kid you not, washed their clothes in the gutter. It was a 3rd world scene.

Kensington in Philly is worst!
My son is 33,and was an IV drug user and alcoholic. He OD’ed 3 times over the years. I tried to help him over the years. He finally said one night he’d had enough of the life he was leading. We got him into a good rehab.. He’s 3 years sober this past February 12th 2024. So proud of him! He said he never wants that life again!
He’s got a good job, makes good money and is very happy to be alive!
You give hope to us all Thank you for that story
No actually it isn’t worse because guess what
San Francisco even if you’re not on drugs is impossible to live in! Period!
The rent and cost of living is even more expensive than New York so all these people regardless of drugs problems are destined to fail.

PS: I didn't see this video yet, and I have the feeling my experience is the other way around than what the title suggests. -Here in Holland there's a lot of care for the homeless and addicts, they get you off the street, get you in a methdoneprogram as long as you need it or want it, (you can get up to 250 mg. methadone a day, that's a lot, but I know many people who quit heroin and got schooling and work, etc. while being on methadone) I did the same, but with less methadone a day, I'm going down voluntarily now cause I don't use too often anymore (for a long time) I smoke weed nowadays (always did, and it always stayed at No.1) and live a good life! This can be done in America done too, it's a big country, but it's got a lot of money too, so it can be done..! And the help of friendly citizens is very helpful too! Help each other, it's badly needed in these times..🧡& ☮

I live by StLouis and have had so many people saying if we made drugs legal that it would help. Crime would go down… I send them videos like this. With less police power the bad areas are getting worse. My husband works in one of the worst areas of StLouis. He’s a trucker and they have now purchased a terminal in a better area and are looking at building another in a much better area. Singapore has some of the harshest laws and they still cane people. Zero critical thinking involved. I'm not advocating for the "hustle" mindset of a drug addict - but at one time, us heroin addicts were actually smart. I've heard stories that places allow people to do this and die off because it decreases the property value for agencies and companies to buy these properties cheap for them to use as they see fit and once the problem is completely gone they mark up the properties value at a skyrocketing rate to cash in restored areas as people come flooding back in.
They’ve been doing it for centuries how places like Harlem and O-Block are made our government is the biggest joke
That happened in Harlem. People bought property for super cheap and just sat on it for years- then boom millions of dollars of passive income
740 deaths a year in S F isn't gonna do it
Gentrification
🤔🤔 If I had disposable income I would totally buy up these places then help clean it up. I would never harm anyone on purpose though just for money.
its like that here in nc as well.. anything under 1000$ is a misdemeanor. but they absolutely do prosecute!!!
Crazy to see San Francisco like this. I remember watching movies that were filmed there as a kid and always looked so fkn good, terrible what they did to it
It's still a wonderful city, this just shows the worst part. Every city has homeless addicts

Same in Portland Oregon

I visited Brazil 2 years ago and San Francisco the year after. I honestly felt safer in the favelas ran by the cartels than I did walking down the streets of San Francisco.
I feel the same exact way. Have always felt so much safer in Brazil than in SF
because unlike san francisco, cartels run their place and they keep tourist safe. everybody knows if you mess with a tourist the cartels will come after you
@@ilyalittt I live in Mexico and have never, ever, seen things like this where I live. Neighbors once spotted a single lonely man doing drugs up down the street one night and that was enough to get us all shook to the core and complain about safety, can't imagine what would happen if that one person turned into thousands
The main difference is that violence is spread throughout entire cities in Brazil, while in SF it is mostly localized. I say this as a curitibano who has lived in the Bay Area.
@@antiagonista that makes total sense. A minha novia nasceu em Curitiba e família dela mora lá. Sou aqui agora para férias 😆

@Tyler Oliveira felicidades fantástico video y muy completo ❤❤❤😍
This video is eye-opening and a stark reminder of the urgent need for action in San Francisco. It's heartbreaking to witness the decline of a once vibrant city.
It actually is. The decline is just straight horrible. I agree with you!

City completely captured by the woke mind virus .......this is the result short term............., imagine long term
This problem seems to be getting far bigger than San Francisco unfortunately…
Don't know if anyone has dug into the board of commissioners but I almost guaranty you that there is a link to real estate investors somewhere. When you see crime like this it leads to lower real estate prices, investors scoop it up and miraculously a few years later it gets cleaned up and prices go through the roof making them all rich. Happened in DC as I was growing up....happens everywhere
Didn't think of that but very plausible....an area by me used to be drug and prostitute infested, now its completely built up and beautiful
Bingo! It absolutely leads back to real estate investors. Real estate investors are the ones that started bashing "work from home people" because companies literally closed offices because their employees worked better from home. I worked for a security company that closed 5 offices.
damn and I was like tf is wrong with the government there
I 100% believe that....the state government there needs policing
Yeah Andrew Callaghan from Channel 5 just put out a video about the drug problem in Philly. He basically said the same thing. One part of a terrible neighborhood had already been bought up and gentrified... and he thinks that's the point. The city lets this happen because want the property values to go down so they can buy everything as cheap as possible and later gentrify the whole area. Then they'll round up all these people and throw them in jail eventually.
I'm from France and I live in Switzerland, and I was wondering how it's possible that one of the most powerful countries in the world can't manage its population. Leaving people alone in the streets without any help is unimaginable to me. In Switzerland, for example, addicts can go to green houses so that they can be helped and can take their dose in a safe and healthy environment. But the thing I understand least is the crime rate in this country? I can't understand how social services and the public can let people act like this. I have the impression that some people in the USA have lost all civilization, but nobody is able to stop them. Please help me understand because I'm really lost.
that guy made a good point about the class/pay gap being one main reason for this.. with everything becoming so expensive i dont blame them for causing most of these stores to shut down.. i wouldnt be doing it.. i want to be able to sleep at night. things are just going to keep getting so expensive until there is a war started.
Yep. It's scary man.
This is bad, really bad. In some countries, they put addicts into rehab, by force. Fewer addicts, fewer dealers, fewer addicts, fewer dealer, and on and on and on
That would be better than this shit.
Tyler you should look into our government officials who are getting paid to be tasked with “fixing homelessness”
You'll fix it.
Yeah. Others have tried, seldomly anyone has came out harmless enough to tell the tale.
Or into the shady security companies being stationed at these stores to lay hands on homeless people, no wonder that security guard wanted his face blurred since he KNOWS he isn't liked or wanted and that what he does is against the law. What he claims goes against Walgreens own policy, especially since the Banko Brown incident
@@EspectadorEntrometido I’m genuinely curious. Do you have any resources to look at? Or info on these people who look into it and turn up missing or whatever?

This documentary is very opening. It shows that the government does not truly care about its citizens or the city.
Also how the public and other departments help and intervene to try make something of a community yet the government doesnt care.
Wtg San Francisco.
Gotta respect the one dude who said leave mom n pop shops alone.
That is generally true but when he said it it's just a big pile of bullshit. He might leave Mom and pop stores alone but only because he's breaking into their car, stealing even the pennies from their ashtray around the corner while they're working there trying to make a living in a city that day by day turns more into hell because of people like him. I'm truly amazed what a shit show that city is. For someone from Europe that has known addicts all my life it's truly crazy what fentanyl can do to a country when society loses control completely. This is like watching the purge but its going on 24/7 and with a lot more needles. I'm generally for legalizing drugs or at least decriminalizing for hard drugs but this fent is the devil in it's purest form.
Nah, that's nice but he's still part of the problem.
You’re an idiot clearly if you’re respecting a worthless fuck like that
Make zero mistake, he would kill any of them for more drugs. Addicts are very slick talkers that always know what you want to hear.
i work on the street he’s referring to and it’s not mom and pop shops it’s just ghirardelli. lmao he’s just saying the chocolate ain’t worth it to steal but just to him. i gotta deal with people stealing everyday
Not $950 per day. $950 per incident! You couldn’t manufacture more perfect conditions for a drug epidemic
Mission accomplished. If you think this isnt the goal, you dont understand the goal of gvnt
As a gear head i couldnt watch this all the way thru without feeling more and more il!! So went off to score!! And now sorting myself out to watch the rest!! Opioid resepters in the body are a nightmare!!!
I laugh so hard when the man says the shop closed because people walked like zombies 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great episode. I love the part where the lady in the truck with the dogs says "being homeless is never easy" etc. Homelessness in the bigger cities has skyrocketed since the pandemic plus the fentanyl crisis. People are extremely depressed from not being able to simply afford life; I'm sure that contributes to the whole problem.
Being homeless was the hardest job that I ever had.
@OlWhtWmn I've been there too, due to domestic violence. People don't know how harsh the sun and weather can be on your skin and, that simply finding a safe, shady spot to sit in can be an arduous yet necessary part of every day, especially if you're a woman you need to be really careful. I had a pit bull mix dog at the time too, so I was constantly refilling water bottles at any fountain I could find for him and myself and that was a chore. Most of America is just 1 paycheck away from the streets so folks, most specifically police, really need to be sensitive instead of judgmental. We're on the brink of societal collapse and it's going to get worse.
Pretty wild how a security guard has to be blacked out like a drug dealer

NYC is getting to be bad as well, homeless and immigrant camps everywhere, if you visit NY, go upstate, like the Adirondack mountain area.
