    - The Kynaran Order (Knightly arm of the Temple of Kynareth)
    - Maran Knights (Knightly arm of the Benevolence of Mara)
    - Order of the Lamp (Knightly order dedicated to the protection of the Mages Guild)

  • @charliebottom_ramen498
    @charliebottom_ramen498 Před 4 lety +120

    I've created a "Knightly" Order for Kynareth, my favorite Divine.
    They are called the Rangers of the Wind and they protect the forests and mountains. Like historical Rangers, they cull poaching and patrol the forests dispatching any bandits and demons/hostile creatures that may harm nearby settlements.
    It's a humble build and gratifying playthrough which really (depending on your own personal RP) requires no major quests but the small side quest of restoring the Gildergreen. Of course you'll want to get the sapling instead of forcing the Eldergleam to bleed.
    It's a good build for those that want a mercenary run but can't let themselves be a harsh person. If you use Alternate Start it's good to begin either the Hunting in the Woods option if you're wanting to complete the core quest or Left for Dead and maybe roleplay that you woke to wind kissing your cheek and Kynareth whispering her tune in your ear.

    Gonna go full nerd here, but just for fun, I made my own knightly order in Skyrim.
    I used the Become High King mod. With that, you can appoint NPCs to be "rangers" and scour the land for evil or "heroes" who train and serve as warriors in the army. I made each one a custom set of Stahlrim armor, enchanted to be called Royal Knight Armor, along with enchanted signet rings. Any warrior who serves as a housecarl or stewart got an gold emerald ring and is a member of the Knight-Guard. The rangers all got gold sapphire rings and are the Knight-Rangers. The Knight-Heroes all got gold diamond rings. Each knight also has either a legendary weapon or one I made using a mod to make it unique.
    Nerdy, I know. But I thought it was cool.

    The Knights of the Order of the Lily; The House of Dibella is the noblest institution in Tamriel, we of the Order of the Lily firmly are devoted to its cause. Its only fault is that the priests and priestesses within are often too consumed with the propagation of beauty to protect themselves adequately. That is the sacred cause of the Order of the Lily. We protect the House and receive the training and blessings of clerics of equal rank. I can think of no better reason to fight than the cause of beauty.

The original creators of the Elder Scrolls including a lot of the lore, are making their own game. • @Scotttjt
    @Scotttjt Před 4 měsíci

    One you might've forgotten was the Knight-Paladins of Auriel:
    Pushed to the edge of extinction by Ysgramor and his returning northmen in retribution for the massacre of Saarthal, the Forgotten Vale, a long-lost valley tucked away in the mountains between High Rock and Skyrim, was host to not only one of the last centers of the ancient Falmer's worship to their patron deity of Auriel, but it was also one of the last bastions of their very civilization.
    And dutifully standing watch over this isolated Chantry of Auriel is Knight-Paladin Gelebor.
    I say this is a group you *might have* missed, because whether he was a part of a formal knightly order is unclear, but he does mention having led a small force of paladins in defense of the Chantry around the time the Snow Elves' twisted, degenerated kin assaulted the Vale in the First Era.
    As it stands in the wake of the Last Dragonborn's quest for the legendary Bow of Auriel in the early second century off the 4th Era, Gelebor is now last of both his order and his kind within Skyrim. Regardless, he continues his lonely vigil in service to Auriel, with only the thought and the hope that more of his people yet survive somewhere out there to bring him some small measure of peace...

    • @wackyiowa724
      @wackyiowa724 Před 4 lety +10

      Derp Mcgerp Knights tend to be noble rich and honorable soldiers. And also being deeply religious. Atleast in the real world. In elder scrolls it’s incredibly similar
      The dawn guard is definitely not knightly.
      I think of the dawnguard as more mercenary like. But with a more religious purpose. They may not exactly directly worship a god (stendarr) but they are carrying out his will by hunting vampires.
      If you look at the dawngaurd armor. It’s clearly not knightly. In elder scrolls and in the real world. Knights tend to wear plate armor. It was expensive and required a fine smith to make. Incredibly expensive, and light (it was 25kg dispersed all over the body, so it was light, you could roll and run and even mount a horse easily) it was beautiful armor aswell. The dawnguard armor isn’t pretty, it is efficient though. It is a brigadine or a coat of plates (has metal inside of it) and wears a gambeson under it, and wears plenty of padded leather. Clearly not made to show off wealth. It’s much more soldier like than noble like.
      And also, if you listen how the dawnguard talk. They clearly don’t care about chivalry or anything. You can even see a bed roll with dawnguard gear near a umm.... a copy of the lusty Argonian maid... so clearly, they are not very chivalrous.
      Knights are noble and chivalrous
      The dawnguard are brutal, and efficient. They don’t care about fairy tales or a maiden they’re fighting for. They want their mission to be done.
      But the goal of the dawnguard has a pretty knightly and fantastic goal.

    I got an interesting theory about Argonians and I hope you want to hear it. Maybe other people think the same but I don't know so far
    Argonians are actually the most powerful race but the hist trees have magical powers which drains the power of the Argonians when Argonians are born they drink hist tree sap like you guys said in one of your videos this could be the moment their powers are drained and when the deadra attacked the hist trees gave the Argonians their powers back so the deadra would leave the trees alone of course argonians believe the hist is good because they tell them the future and this could also lead the hist to let the Argonians believe the hist created them.
    But I think the Argonians came from the dragons the most ancient race and evolved to live in more crowded areas like swamps. Really thank you for reading this
    ps Argonians don't have wings but water breathing because the wings are useless in the swamp and the water breathing is more useful for getting food and they can't breath fire or ice etc. Because they consumed the hist sap but some Argonians still show genetics of dragons..

    I hope we get some kind of confirmation or at least passing mention as to what became of the second order of the Knights of the Nine in TESVI. As far as I know, there is no lore whatsoever as to their fate after Oblivion.
    Did they dispand again after the Champion of Cyrodiil disappeared? Were they killed off or forcefully disbanded by the Thalmor during/after the Great War like the Blades? Or did they just drop Talos and become the Knights of the Eight again (I sincerely hope the latter isn't the case)? So many ways their story could have gone, and yet we know NOTHING.

    I still strongly believe that TES6 storyline will take us to be the avatar of Ebonarm where we need to quell the different orders of knights in Daggerfall and solve their political issues. Then we also will have to deal with warriors from Redguard that are fighting the Thalmor who are backed by certain nobles of High Rock. Then to the mountains where we need to deal with the Orcs and the reformation of Orsinium and possibly the purification of Malacath into Trinimac. Then whatever we descide between each story it comes together in the end where if we formed allies or enemies we have a huge battle with the resurgence of the Underking and an undead legion that aims to take the land. The end.

      The problem with horse builds are they aren’t useful in dungeons or caves, which are basically 90%+ of the combat scenarios in game. But, they are fun to play in end game RP scenarios where one can just ride around smashing giants, combating mammoths, and eradicating the undead (and their necromantic masters).
