Im half surprised you didn’t recommend the Aeternus Gatling laser instead of a regular Gatling laser, the Aeternus has the “Never Ending” legendary effect and it uses a fusion core as ammo but it’s bugged and it won’t run out of ammo

I had a character similar to this, but he used melee. He thought he was Grognak reborn. He didn't do *that* much damage, but he did one-shot a few deathclaws.

You can grab the deathclaw gauntlet at the deathclaw nest you find if you choose to return the egg from the devils due at any point in the game. Super useful early game for unarmed builds

Need that Fist of North Star build

Hey, I did almost this build, and it was one of my favorite runs! I sacrificed Luck for getting to Blitz, Party Girl, and Rooted as fast as possible. It made leveling a bit slow, and considering I eventually leveled it to 6 for Better Criticals, I'd probably start it at 5 now. Honestly, the criticals don't matter, Blitz x Strength is already busted. Which I buffed nearly any way I could. Most fights, I just drank an Ice Cold beer or Borcov's Moonshine. But for bigger fights or legendary beasts, I did Ice Cold, Bourbon, and Dirty Wastelander, in that order.

Junkies can take any melee build into a one-hit monster. Your best Junkie drop would be a deathclaw gauntlet, followed by power fist, meat hook, boxing gloves, then knuckles in that order - but good luck, as legendary unarmed drops are rare, deathclaw gauntlets are particularly rare, and you need a specific effect. You are best off getting all 11 addictions, grabbing the chem extending perks, AVOID the ones that prevent addiction (including Party Boy), and live on a continual Psychobuff high and keep Buffjet in your quick bar to hit if things get hairy. Get the helmet from the Hubris Comics quest if you have it and make it Fortifying, otherwise you are correct to have the ballistic weave hat of your choice. Baseball or Army underclothes with ballistic weave help add Strength and defense. Fortifying on the five armor pieces. Biomesh weave on the chest piece can add even longer chem use if you want it. Of course, since you can't be assured of the junkies drop, I suggest you leave a junkies build to a melee build where the odds of you getting something good are much higher. You can also do a glass cannon build, where you hold your health at 25% with rads, stack Unyielding and/or Rad Powered armor pieces for insane strength, and enjoy the boosts of companion perks (Strong, Curie, Hancock, Curie), Nerd Rage triggering regularly, etc. Pretty easy to walk around with Strength in the 30s and 40s and be a one-hit machine that way as well. Any one punch man builds, however, will always fall short of the equivalent melee build - since unarmed is just a nerfed melee.

I don’t mean to be that guy that loves New Vegas and bashes 4, but unarmed was the best in New Vegas. Backwards power attack and stomping is OP. But I just started 4 again, and I’m doing power armor so I felt like it made more sense to do melee weapons instead. I might make another character to finally try out unarmed, but it’s slow going on my first character because I’m playing Survival mode.
