the Ryujin storyline is my favorite in the game so far.. only complaint is i wish it was longer. Definitely the Thieves Guild replacement of Starfield, but the corpo espionage is such a sweet playstyle. Also joined off a new atlantis kiosk with no idea it was a full faction
Just did those last night and they were awesome!
Gotta say I'm addicted to starfield. Currently I'm doing your typical all around build where overtime you obtain every skill in the game, so far I've mastered ballistics, boost pack training, and am working on all other combat skills. Not the most well rounded build as of now but it's fun and I'm simply just relaxing my way through the game as I complete the story and delve into the various side quests. Haven't enjoyed a game this much since Elden ring.
I don’t think you’ll be getting all of the skills on one character. It just doesn’t seem possible with the way leveling scales
I usually do the same thing. I have a character archetype I always play in RPG's, and especially BGS games. Tend to be average all rounders, goodie two shoes, nothing too role playie aside from I'm a good person. I've learned a lot of things to do for my next character though.
But I think the last time I was this fully addicted to a game was RDR2 when it first came out. Starfield is pretty much the only game I've been playing since it released.
Would you please do a video on companions? Briefly highlighting who is eligible to be a companion, who is romanceable, and a description of what sort of actions they prefer?
Only the constellation 4 are romance candidates and are also the only ones with likes/dislikes
Normally I would spoiler tag this, but since it is exactly what you are asking for: In one of the high level systems, you can do a questline that will net you a clone of Amelia Earhart. I haven't found her myself yet, but I plan on having her on my ship crew ASAP.
And this one really IS a spoiler: Sometimes when doing NG+, the Lodge will spawn in a Joke Worldstate. Maybe children are using it as a clubhouse, or maybe Walter will just sell you all the artifacts for a huge lump sum of Credits. Relevant to this conversation, however, is the Universe where you run into... yourself! From what I've read, their Skills aren't tied to your Background choice, but I am unsure what those Skills actually are.
Snowglobes guide please! Now that I found a few and know they exist I simply MUST have then all!
Since this video is about Neon, I believe if you pickpocket Bayu you can get his penthouse key and theres a book in there that you can get that leads you to one of the snowglobes on Earth

Originally, I wasnt too interested in Neon but after some intrigue and corporate espionage, I fell in love!
Neon faction is the best story and quests in the game.

I'm loving Neon, there is way more going on here than I expected. I also wasn't expecting that my street rat would go full corpo with the Ryujin quest line, but her skillset was the exact fit and why not take whatever advantage you can in Neon and she didn't know what she was getting into with that job application in New Atlantis. If no one actually gets hurt by my hand it's all good. So many persuade options, there is nothing people won't do for me. My ultimate Goal, become one of the elite with a fancy home, I may be a sell-out, but I'll make it work for me better the corps than the gangs and maybe the creds are a bit of a corrupting influence. I love playing this sort of morally grey character and having the game support it
Going to neon isn’t a huge part of my current role play. But It’s easy to get sucked in to that location and lose track of everything.
Lol my first playthrough it was the first planet I actually stayed on(went right past new Atlantis after I could tell Sarah im not ready to continue) and sunk a good 15-20 hours here alone, of course with the industry quests too
Perfect timing, been saving up all my Neon quests and finally going there tonight with Walter! Also applied for the job at a New Atlantis kiosk, so excited there’s a whole quest line!
The ryujin quest line was my favorite I think. Felt like cyberpunk 2077 in a Bethesda world. And the power you gain is my most used power.

I spent the whole day yesterday completing sides on Neon and outside of it being the most optimized area in the game, I loved all the content included.

I would like you to cover how exactly armor in this game works. There are armor traits such as corrosive, airborne, radiation and I still have no idea what they mean nor how the dmg reduction in this game is calculated. 🙂 I also noticed that on some deeply frozen planets I tend to get frostbite pretty quick and wonder how to dress up properly for such situations.

Some planets have higher radiation, you will get a circular mark on your "compass". If i.e your rad resistance on your suit is 10 and you get that mark, then try changing to a 20 rad.resistance suit.
Im not sure about the airborn, but i think thats an extra armor when youre using the boostpack (in air)

@@Kyle-nm1kh depends on the gas actually. It can be both. How a toxic gas works on me inside a sealed spacesuit though, I have no idea.
I wasnt planning on doing Ryujin until watching this video, and now I’m super immersed into the questline and it’s fantastic. Not what I was expecting at all, it also lead me to join the Freestar Rangers to cover up my bad deeds. Playing a scoundrel type character that’s kinda down to just do anything for credits, literally; anything. My advice for anyone feeling a bit bored in the first 10 levels, GO GET A JOB. not a real one, of course. I heard Ryujin industries is hiring…

Speaking of scanning the fish, I found a fun little physics glitch you can use to get around in the water faster. I haven't tried all scenarios, but so far with my testing it seems to work best with a skip pack. It takes a bit of practice to get down, but what you do is sprint swim, and jump out of the water, and just as you're touching down, hit the boost. You should enter into a slow fall animation, and you can continue to boost as it's available and it will make you move so much faster than swimming or running. Not game breaking by any means, but it can definitely help with scanning fish faster

Edit: Turns out the Amps are their OWN slot, making four separate clothing slots. Now if I could only find a bandana or something else to replace the Fishworker Mask with.
3:36 Wait... Those face chips that I have been complaining weren't in the character creator are actually clothing items? And more importantly, they fit the Face slot like the Fishworker Mask, letting me keep my hat and outfit?!? Yeah, next time I boot up the game, I'm taking a quick detour to Neon.
After joining the Ebbside Strikers, you can buy chasmbass oil from their merchant. They have a fair amount of it too. One of the sure fire ways to find it.

I was wondering if you can automate aurora, like have an outpost produce most of the crafting materials , or does the game not let you have a drug lab
It has a pharmaceutical station you can put in your outpost
id imagine you can set up a pharmalab, and get an outpost/outposts to get the materials needed yourself, but probably need to produce aurora manually, i doubt theyll give us a completely autonomous drug lab as cool as that would be lol

I'm nearly 130 hours in and I had no idea Novablast Disruptors could be charged up. I just thought they were basically worthless cuz they had low damage and tiny magazines.
Still not great stealth weapons tho, sadly. They seem to alert everyone even when you one-hit-stun them
I'm obsessed with this game!
I play persuasion stealth build as a neon rat and this quest line was gold. My favorite quest was sabotage it was very well thought out and tough. Did full stealth no alarms. Sneaking up on the lights in darkness really made me feel amazing. The open endedness of approach plus turning off the alarm from computer etc. etc. Also persuading the board to ban neuroamp at end was cool too now that i have it installed lol

This video really inspired me to take another look at Neon. I guess I just preferred New Atlantis and Akila City, but there's a lot of cool stuff in Neon. How about a video going over the stuff you can do outside of the big four cities? I really just need someone to tell everyone about Misaki in Gagarin Landing, because I want to fund her book so bad!

I found this today, walking pass the machine saying apply while in “Jamerson” Chinese dragon art caught my interest. I’m a lvl 5 working with that group in Neon 😂💯 almost got shot delivering coffee ☕️

I'm gonna work on a cyber runner neon build myself when I get the game as my first charater. Can't wait to see if you guys not only make one but how close it comes to your build if you guys do build one!
Alternative start mods for this could be crazy. "Wanted neon street rat empath" start in neon with clothes, a shit gun and a shank, you get a sleep crate and you have to stay in neon raising the money to buy a spaceship to leave which starts the main quest proper.
Actually just started new game plus, Ryugen quest was something I never did, then I got around to doing more things in neon and found there were a lot of layers to the city

I went into Ryugen thinking it was a sidequest... with zero stealth and sarah morgan in tow. Stealth was hard, it took a while, and now I'm a corpo. And married apparently
1 for me is starship company inside core of neon, as they have some of the best ship builds
I was not going to use shotguns in my playthrough, but i bought Boom Boom and omg, I have not touched the lasers I am specced in since! I have been leveling shotgun instead. Thank you for the tip back in early access!
Is the explosive trait on Boom Boom a legendary effect or the ammo modification?
I loved Neon, all felt conected, theres a lot of characters that are intriging and a lot of cool quest to do. I really wish that they focus more on the gangs of Neon. I liked the strikers but they quickly whent away as soon as the questline ended, no more gang type jobs. Maybe in the future that can and a gang DLC or something. Theres a few places in starfield that have gangs like in akila and the wells in UC but you cant join to my knowlege
Have you planned a video featuring all the named crew options and explaining how the various skills work for NPCs?
I was really torn after the Audition mission as to which outfit I liked more. The Disciples street outfit had that drip but that Striker outfit looked badass as well.
At about the 8:00 mark, my man just parkoured over the person in his way. He did it so smooth it didnt even look like he used a boost pack.
Looking forward to the Aurora cooking/smuggling build that you're clearly in the process of breaking badly into. Will the ship have a camper van vibe or no? We'll have to see.

There is also shop that's sell you blend on neon it's weaker aurora but get increased by gastronomy skill, for 20% slow time to 30% and up to 100 damage resist, pretty cheap non contraband that you can restock for ~10 every 48h
And arguably pacifier shotgun modded into EM damage is better than distruptor, you can add suppressor in it, has many magazines and benefits from crit perk , even non stealth you can one crit lv 75 on very hard, then open to 10x melee sneak attack or just pickpocket their ammo, that will seriously nerf the elites

Boom boom is one of the funniest gun to give your friends. Anything with extreme rate of fire is hilarious to give to companions. You give them one bullet and they will endless spray at enemies. Suddenly your helpless companions can take on entire swarms of enemies while you loot.
I haven't actually given Boom Boom to a companion... phenomenal idea

You can rent a room at the hotel in Neon. Take the elevator up to your room and there's a skill magazine there.

Ive encountered a bug with the Audition quest.
I followed Andrea upstairs, but i thought i would do some other stuff before i made up my mind if i wanted to join the gang.
But now when i return to Sauvage's, the door leading upstairs is locked!
And Andrea is probably still upstairs..
fun fact the shotgun you mentioned "boom-boom" might be a reference to a Borderlands 2 boss duo called Boom, Bewm

Rescuing Barrett one of the pirates had a Neon dancer 🕺 outfit in their inventory. I put it on my character and it looked ridiculous. 😂
I hope they update the outpost building or theres mods for it because there are many improvements that can be made
The strikers audition mission completely froze for me since the introduction mission was interrupted and the characters have permanently been frozen in time while “busy”. So I can’t access the quest line at all anymore in this play through… Same happened with one other mission, once again because the “introduction” was interrupted freezing the entire mission.
i tried to go back and do the strikers but the door is locked to get up there

After you buy a sleep crate she'll sell you some foreclosed units. Might find something good in one of them.

I found a glitch that lets me clip ship pieces into each other in the ship builder. Is this known? I haven't seen anything on it yet, The technique is simple and repeatable.
You cpuld tell this game was supposed to be a linear planet hopper with like 10 planets but after they discovered procedueal generation they wanted to give us the freedom to explore hundreds of planets. I appreciate that actually. The game is good when I'm questing and a slow burn but fun when exploring. Even if it's procedurally generated, I feel like I'm discovering and exploring a real ai simulated universe.

You didn’t find the secret area to get the best weapons in Neon for free. It does like 180 damage. It’s at one of the rare gang secret hideouts in Neon. Search the rooftops there’s a secret entrance then you have to steal the weapons off the wall
