The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an open world action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the fifth main installment in The Elder Scrolls series, following The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and was released worldwide for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 11, 2011.
The game's main story revolves around the player character and their quest to defeat Alduin the World-Eater, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world. The videogame is set two hundred years after the events of Oblivion, and takes place in the fictional province of Skyrim. Over the course of the game, the player completes quests and develops the character by improving skills. The game continues the open world tradition of its predecessors by allowing the player to travel anywhere in the game world at any time, and to ignore or postpone the main storyline indefinitely.

I know this is a Noob question, but...I have not gotten very far in TESO ...is all this landscape you are showing in there, and how do I get to go there? I am in Sommerset and at the beginning.
Oh my god the legend herself is here someone please answer. I honestly think some of the stuff is skyrim mods I don't play TESO myself. Thanks for being part of the community can't wait to see you in the new elder scrolls! (if what I heard is true.)
@@lotsapoppa994 Yes it's true. Thank you! (I'm so use to clicking on a heart to reply to comments on my channel that I clicked here and it was a 'thumbs down' !!!! Sorry!! I un-clicked it!!! ) LOL
Shirley Curry Hi Shirley..... Well to answer your question, yes this is all in ESO and he is showing clips from Hammerfell. You can definitely get to the Alik’r desert by way of ship. I usually get there very easily with my new characters by traveling from a wayshrine teleport. I go to Daggerfall I travel through Glenumbra to Stormhaven and the shipyard has a Captain that will take first timers right to the Alik’r desert. If you know where the Daggerfall Covenant areas are look for Stormhaven. Once you get there you can get to Alik’r desert. There may be an easier way hopefully someone else knows and can tell you. Im glad you ply ESO!!!!! It’s been so great learning more about Elder Scrolls while waiting on ES6
I also forgot to mention here on CZcams I typed in “How to get to Alik’r desert” and CollegeTalkTv has a video labeled exactly that its a easy 2 min video

Yes, unfortunately the Nords have been thoroughly Scottified.
This is why my Nord mage character embraces the Redguard way of Ra'Gada swordsmanship, and their political doctrine, too, just not the stinking women.

@@nagihangot6133 what was the video? Its been removed
Yeah that’s why I hate nords they’re all the worst parts of a warrior, nords make being a warrior no different than being some random dude with a gun in modern day, the whole reason why sword fighting is cooler than guns is because it requires so much skill and is such a beautiful form of fighting, where as guns are just pure power with nothing beautiful or majestic about them and nords and their love of axes are pretty much no different, anyone can wield an axe it’s straightforward possibly even simpler than a mace, but it takes true skill to master and use a sword properly.
@@mythicmars4848 You’d be surprised how many people don’t understand or just don’t have the patience to master the art of marksmanship with a rifle or handgun. As someone who used to use one for a living, I can tell you that there’s a lot more to it than just point and shoot. The reality is anyone can swing a sword just as anyone can pull a trigger, but to be used effectively, both the rifle and the sword require training, skill, talent, strength, and more.
I've been a Redguard since Morrowind, I was just naturally drawn to them

Redguards are awesome
That's funny, I've always picked Nords since Morrowind. I don't usually do more than one long playthrough but I pretend all my characters have descended from my first Nord Nerevarine.
@@ikediz Me to but with a twist

Same, gotta play as a Redguard. Their race abilty is always useful too.
Growing up, I always picked Redguard as my character because I was excited to make a character that looked like myself, so I have a lot of nostalgia attached to playing as one! My favorite races are the Bosmer, Redgauard, and Khajiit ^_^
I started as Nord, but overtime I always went with Redguard.
Simply the best warriors, in-game or in lore AND both the men and ladies look classy if done right.
The story of their people is also the most interesting imo.
@@IRedpunk Redguards simply have the best drip in game
I resonate with this! My dad is black and mom white. I like to use bretons since they are mixed as well with a slightly darker tone and modded hair (hopefully they update the games and add curly hair types)

I like that they have a somehow similar qualities with the Nords. Both came from a different continent, both are warrior-type race, both are hardy who lived in an extreme temperature environment, both are not from Nedic race, and both have a unique but not solely exclusive ancient battle techniques (Way of the Sword and Way of the Voice). The redguards are actually my favorite race in the Elder Scrolls series (followed by Khajiit and Imperials), so I really appreciate this video. Their culture and history are so cool and weird that I can't help but love them. They are also the only race where I feel like I can create a character that looks like me lol.
Exactly
I’ve always admired their love and honor for combat.
Me too
Swap the redguard and khajiit ranks and we'd be the same! The races in tes are so interesting
Redguards have the best stats for my playthrough style, so they're always my go-to race but I'm just how looking into their lore
Fun fact: The Redguards fear Vivec as a demon because they remember how after training with the sword saints, he proceeded to take a king as a wife and impregnate him. They call him Ansu-Gurleht, God of Makes Us Women. I'm not kidding

Their my favorite too. Just because I'm black and their the closes to black people in Skyrim. 😇
I just remembered seeing the alik'r warriors and falling in love with their personality and attitude in Skyrim
Them redguards are pretty badass, gotta love em
The lore the attitude and their contrast with the other races specifically the other human races helps what makes nords and imperials awesome standout which inturn makes redguards awesome.
They're my favourite Humans,Altmer are my overral favourite though!
Coolest race along with the Nords. Like that meme with the guys shaking hands 🤣
The Redguards are arguably the strongest race on tamriel since they wiped out the nedes, the lefthanded elves, and defeated the thalmor
1. They didn't wipe them out, and the Nedes barely lived in Hammerfell.
2. The whole ordeal with the Lefthanded Elves lacks a great deal of details.
3. They didn't defeat the Thalmor, they fought them to a standstill, and even then they had a great deal of Imperial veterans backing them.
@Chris Ayala u are right for the most part but an imperial legion actually stayed and helped the redguards
Chris Ayala this is a video game. Would you be as defensive if the red guard and high elves switched places
@@dutchpatriot17 the Redguards wouldn't work with Imperials; Redguards are incredibly prideful. They believed that the empire had betrayed them after the great war, and cut ties with them. @@FudgeMuppet No, thank YOU for the amazingly detailed, high quality content all the Sirs at Fudgemuppet put out for us!!!
Redguard is my favorite race. I’m writing a fanfic about them
Redguard are by far my favorite race. My favorite build, he’s a Redguard with Archmages Robes, Wolf Guantlets, Wolf Greaves, and a Nordic Circlet, all enchanted like crazy with destruction magic boosters and magic regen, and some two handed boosters. He uses destruction magic and two handed (spears with the mod, and the new weapon Headman’s Cleaver). His name is Moqorro and he’s by far my best warrior. So strong and well rounded and so cool looking.
There's something about the Redguards that's just so alluring for role-playing. Their culture is so different and beautiful in a way that no other race captures for me. Though they do draw parallels, the Nords seem so blunt and uninteresting when compared to the former. In an ironic fashion, the Way of the Sword is opposite to the Way of the Voice. Instead of an artistic ideology becoming a weapon to use to your advantage, such like as a shout, the weapon becomes the artistic ideology, growing beyond what it first was. This video made me reinstall Skyrim and remake my modlist 😁.
When these videos get uploaded, it makes my freaking day. Love this channel!
Thank you!
Man getting Miyamoto Musashi Book of Five Rings vibes from the Sword Singers. Awesome
Notably, dialogue from the Warrior constellation in ESO implies that the nuclear sword technique is the true explanation for Yokuda's fall
O_O A Redguard vampire...I never had any desire to play as a vampire before, but knowing their beliefs about death and the undead...the tragedy and turmoil...
One of my most fleshed out characters in Skyrim is a Redguard Vampire who was hidden away and trained on how to be an assassin by a retired Alik’r warrior who sympathized with her after she didn’t try to eat him, knowing that she’d be killed on the spot if anyone else got wind of her...long story short.

Redguards are in my top 5 favorite elder scrolls race, along side dunner, Argonians, Khajiit, and nords.
Dude, Same 😀. The only difference is that I add Orcs in there. For me, it's more of a tossup between the Khajiits and Argonians because I can't decide which I like more.
I've been doing a much deeper dive into Redguard lore since I started a Sword Singer inspired playthrough and they have skyrocketed into at least my top three races, playable or otherwise
Also, I love the Redguards.
Beauregard the Redguard since Arena. 👍
I was actually shocked to find out they are pretty much the least popular race.
My top 3 are Bosmer, Dunmer, then Redguards. They are pretty awesome.
Unpopular Opinion: Redgards are my favorite race of Men from their Lore,Architecture,Warrior Culture and their Arab/Egyptian influenced motifs. They're my second favourite race overrall, the number one spot goes to The Altmer however.

awesome video glad to see somebody giving us Redguards some love. My love for Redguards has no limit. The first and only race I've ever played in TESO games. Many reasons, but mostly because it's the closest thing to what I look like in real life. I can't remember a game series before or after ES that had such strong lore for the black people of that universe. I grew up with games that barely had us at all or used us as stereotypical token characters (Barret FF7). I still enjoyed those games but it always sucked to not be able to see myself represented in those games properly. Redguard is proof that it can be done and done right. The deep and interesting lore behind the race made me fall in love with it even more because I know the writers actually put a lot of time and thought into how they would tell the story. We weren't just a token afterthought. I appreciate that. PS Yes ladies our swords really are curved, we love Breton and Nord moms too. Tu'wacca be praised!

Literally the Redguards are my favorite, their religion and region are so interesting to me
Like always, amazing video guys! I've always found the Redguards so interesting as a race due to their differences and unique outlook on the world. In fact they are in my top 3 (Breton, Redguard, Altmer). I always support hearing more about the various lore of the the people of Tamriel so thank you for shinning a much needed light on such an under appreciated race!
Honestly one of best races in elder scrolls if their history and knowledge of them was more shown often, they’ll be top 3 race favorites
Where can i find hammerfell??
Soulrender is badass
Hell yeah! Thought what race should I choose, answer is clear
I think the main reason Redguards are rarely found in the top 5 is because we never really learned much about them in the main series games. ESO does a good job showing their intellectual side. There could be more interesting story characters tho. I have 11 OCs in ESO and two of them are Redguards (father and daughter in fact) and I love them so much.

I really didn’t like Orcs at first. But man there such an interesting badass beasts. Despite there looks and angry personality.
Thank you for this!!! I have so many GREAT ideas for a Skyrim Redguard build now. I've had a character idea for a while, but not enough info to know what playstyle I wanted to try. Now I know: no-magic, one-handed sword based combat (preferably scimitar); hates necromancy with a passion; considers all graves hallowed territory NOT to be disturbed.

Nords, Redgaurds and Argonians are my favorite races.
Redguard was the first race I ever played in elder scrolls, (Morrowind)
"Why do you live in a desert?"
"Oh because we nuked the fabric of reality and erased our homeland"
I'm currently working on a roleplay build that is a hybrid of my two favorite races (Redgaurd&Nord) combining the ansei and the dovahkiin using the bound swords spell as the spirit sword and I love listening to this kind of stuff to help me develop the back story

I always liked the redguards. They're just kinda cool, though.
It ain't Skyrim but this gave me a really great concept for a D&D character
