Nellie Bly lived an amazing life and it's surprising that so few people know about her. I was fortunate enough to read a kid's biography about her when I was young.
She had an amusement park. It was one of the best experiences of my childhood.
I really miss the old crew that worked at Cracked prior to the buyout. Those were some satirists of the best order.

I love these Mr. History and Clocko series. It adds variety to CRACKED along with historical tidbits.
Pulitzer was a journalist but I don't know if we could call him respected. He and Hearst were leading figures in "Yellow Journalism," which focused on sensationalizing more than being accurate and often went so far as to completely make up wild stories on slow news days.
Much as this video was concerned with sensationalizing Pulitzer as a "respected journalist", rather than accurately describing him as a successful publisher? Don't let the subtle facts get in the way of a good point...

You know what's great for explaining the premise of a show and setting expectations? An expository theme song intro. Or at least some narration over cool music. It worked for MST3k and/or Arrested Development. It's just a thought since a lot of people seem to be confused and disappointed. It's not like Honest History is established enough for a cold open. And not everyone saw the Roger intros on previous videos. A guy trapped in time hell with a sapient clock isn't the most intuitive premise at first.
Also, a missed comedic opportunity to pivot from berating the dude for his verbal abuse of Clocky to Bly hearing about Clocky exposing her geargina to a coworker. Could've been a record scratch moment.
I remember her name from when I was a kid. I think there was a music hall song about her. I'm _guessing_ I heard her name from my dad (he was born in 1927, so a song could well still be doing the rounds. Him singing one would not be unusual). However, I didn't know who she was or what she did.
I know I'm not mixing her up with Nellie Dean! My bf of the time knew all the words to that song, but only when he was drunk 😂.
Keep this up, I love both types of "honest content"!
