  • The Fire Department has stopped requiring probationary firefighters to pass a job-related physical-skills test before getting hired - a move that critics derided as a lowering of standards.
The move by first-year Fire Commissioner Daniel Nigro, which allows probies to fail components of the Functional Skills Training test but still graduate from the Fire Academy, comes amid criticism of the department’s low hiring rate of women.

Here in India there are many ad campaigns on YT targetting wman to lift heavy, do sports which men do. The ad which I am talking about has a Muslim wman who has a man like face who doesn't want to get married or listen to her parents to get married. (This is the current ad campaign of our Hindutva India)
I feel personally disgusted when I unintentionally look at their faces. It shouldn't be more obvious but wman like that don't realise what they are doing to their body specially their facial structure changes. This type of wman have been s uked so hard by the Matrix fitna that they won't get dopamine unless they try to break Islamic patriarchal system or patriarchy in general.
White knights feminist men encourage this change just for looking at them when they are working out. But Muslim men don't need our wives to look like Uga buga giga chad 🗿
I have read somewhere that wman who lift heavy have a higher chance of infertility. Please correct me if what I said is not true
May Allah سبحانه وتعالى give us all hidayat to not be competitive of each other and be appreciative what the boundaries which separate us all.

A lot of men have this complaint about women
"I am educated, have a good job, religious(pray 5 times). But no good woman is interested in me. Women have become extremely selfish even the religious ones. They want the traditional benefits with no obedience"
Quran clearly says which manly features initiate "obedience chemistry" in good strong women.
      What are they?
Men who have izzah or jaah. They are very bold about pointing clumsiness or bold about addressing issues of society. Arabic word "jaah" means unrelenting desire not to feel defeated.
A man who can travel from South Asia to Mecca and uploads his travel videos to get people's attention is just an aggressive person. But he is a man with no jaah or honour. Ask him about a social issue and he will be "opinion less" or just make a unsound useless statement. Good women will strongly dislike it.
The opportunistic and selfish women may say "Hmm,this guy is a good entertainer. But he doesn't appear stable. But I think I can get some benefit if he has money. So I can show some fake affection for a temporary period"
If men want to show money and weak religiosity(just prayer, fast in Ramadhan),women will be programmed for "wrong attraction"

I don't think a lot of women necessarily go for these sports for looks or for competing, depends on the individual, but a lot choose to go to judo and boxing for self-defense. Their initial intention is to learn to defend themself and build physical strength, there's no focus on the physique when someone chooses any of these combat sports. It's also great if you have kids that join the classes with you, as a skill. Ballet and figure skating can only do so much, they're more focussed on flexibility and posture than strength based exercises.

I'm a man and I partially disagree. I think first off, women aren't really going to gain much muscle doing mostly cardio sports like kickboxing and BJJ. That is way overblown. If you look at a sport like powerlifting which is more of a muscle building sport. Alot of the women there aren't even muscular looking. I think we get this whole image because they are most likely on roids or some sort of gear. 90% of women don't obtain the "muscular look" naturally while lifting, let alone a cardio based sport. if anything, they would probably lose weight and look more feminine.
I think going to regular competitions and going into leagues is a bit different, but if they do it recreationally 2-3x a week with other women in a non-mixed environment I don't really see the problem. It keeps them healthy and active and more physically able. If she doesn't enjoy ballet, yoga and this is a way to keep fit I think it's okay. not to mention activities like these can build confidence not only for men but for women too.
It's context specific too. Like if she still did the more "feminine" things like cooking, cleaning, knitting, child-rearing or w/e, would kicking a bag 2x a week really be such a big deal? There is the self-defense aspect to it I guess. But most women aren't doing these activities with the intention of punching and kicking people in the face but to keep active and fit. I don't necessarily think fighting should be promoted but if it's just a hobby I think there are other better points to look at.

There is nothing Islamic in what you are saying here. People like yourself make it difficult for sisters to embrace Martial Arts I have to bring them through my gym doors because they are suppressed due to ridiculous stereotypes like this. I have participated in Martial Arts for over 25 years. I may possess masculine traits but none of them stem from Martial Arts I also do not have the body of a man. I have athletic physique as do any woman who participates in any sport. Islam promotes many aspects found in Martial Arts. There are Warrior women in Islam which are strongly forgotten in today's dynamics to influence cultural suppression amongst cultural beliefs. You are correct in saying a man does not want a masculine woman but to extract that demeanour from Martial Arts is insulting to women. There is nothing to say sisters cannot participate in Martial Arts and there are valid virtues in Martial Arts that you will not develop in other sports. If there are sisters who take inspiration from Khawla bint al-Azwar. To disarm women from Martial Arts in of itself is a sin and also sexist you have no Islamic evidence supporting your claim which would amplify that you are stating nothing but a myth. I teach sisters with no striking to the face in a all female friendly environment and I respect Islamic principles. I do enjoy some of your discussions but this one is ridiculously wrong and insulting to sisters.

On a serious note though, my older brother raised me like a tomboy, I have always been a strong Muslim female and have been able to defend myself in physical fights in my youth. In saying that, I’ve always been feminine, into nice dresses jewellery and makeup. As a mother of 3 boys now, I do Womens BJJ classes and enjoy grappling a lot, to stay fit and healthy and also to learn for self defence. Plus I enjoy it because I was brought up wrestling my brother. So yeah I don’t think it’s a problem, my husband is a very MANLY MAN, I would never be attracted to a man that was more feminine than myself. I didn’t have a dad growing up so I learned how to check my car oil, change a flat tire and even use power tools for minor jobs, I enjoy doing them but I’m not going to go volunteer to do them while my husband is around 😅 I say do what you like with limits, women should know to be women and feminine and men should know to be men and masculine, but just because he occasionally wants to vacuum the house or crack a few eggs isn’t going to make him a pansy. Misconception 1: building strength differs gender wise / women supposed to be very weak and unfit
Misconception 2: strength changes one's gender attributes / muscles mean less feminine
Misconception 3: men don't like healthy women in contrast with weaker ones.
1: strength means strength. Men women both need strength at their level for their day to day life. Both need to have strength to do more Ibadah. A weak Muslim is not better than a strong Muslim. Men women both should strive for strength but not necessarily get into competition with others.
2: skeletal muscles for genders are quite the same. So, to develop some strength, the act should be the same. Maybe the volume will be different. So, if a woman is healthy, she should have some muscle. Muscle is just an indication of one's fitness. In Islam, there are no made up fantasies like, "more muscle means more masculine." These're just made up fantasies by the westerns. Both genders should have focus on having the highest Iman. They don't have to be obsessed over their body and looks.
3: attractiveness and fertility, generally depends on having a good body structure and active life. No one likes a lazy, lethargic person. And a healthy fit woman in no way will resemble a man.

Men have far higher upper body muscle mass, higher systolic blood pressure, our bones have higher density, male pelvic bone structure is more narrow (enabling faster and more efficient running), men have faster reflexes biologically... I can go on and on...
Men are physically far more endowed than women. They are quite different.
Also... You have comprehension issues... You claimed Gabriel had misconceptions such as "men don't like healthy women..." and "women are supposed to be very weak and unfit."
Gabriel in this very video recommends women to take on physical activities which promote health and feminine grace such as figure skating, pilates, and other examples.
      Turn on your brain.
      Because it's turned off...
      Honestly.
Also, yes. High amounts of muscle mass looks masculine. If your woman has 18 inch biceps, she will look very masculine. Are you mentally checked in?...
The Qur'an and Sunnah has informed us how men differ from women, and authentic hadiths even curse women who attempt to imitate men.
This modern illness of liberalism and feminism claims everything that men do should and must be open to women. Otherwise, injustice is occuring.
Educate yourself on what masculine fitrah and feminine fitrah is, because you are truly lost...
Are you even Muslim? (Because that would explain alot to me)

Sorry brother I do not think you have thought this one through. It does sound very much like a red pill argument, rather from Islam. There are only two sports Which are think are overtly masculine and could leave to physical masculine traits . But other than this all others pose no problems . The real problem sisters have is accessing health and sports facilities fully segregated in the west. Apart from the major uk cities we have no facilities . Working out at home isn’t always an option , this would take another video to discuss .
Anyway brother martial arts is essential for women especially living in western countries . It’s not safe. Many sisters go to school, Uni work alone. And mothers run so many chores outside alone. My girls and son have done so for many years no one has ever said “hey what are you feeding your girls they’re looking masculine”.
Boxing and lifting heavy weights ie power lifting those I agree can make women appear masculine. Any sport where women start developing huge muscles will obviously make the women look more masculine.
But those sports which encourage an athletic build won’t pose a problem . Woman or man you look fit and strong and retain your gender specific features
But martial arts are good for both genders I don’t think it takes away femininity at all. Nor does it exaggerate mens muscles .
As for women following sports created by women ballet wasnt designed by women , it was a man. And ballet is vary unnatural who wants deformed toes and walking around in that immodest attire looking like an emu toy for a man to gaze upon ?
Sisters can’t do swimming usually because there are no private facilities for them to use in the west.
Ice skating I’d say is problematic due to the environment. It’s mixed and there’s always music on. And if sisters want to do this professionally well it’s a no no, the uniform is totally immodest
Regardless of the sport Muslim sisters partake in they will look always slightly masculine why? Well they have to wear loose attire: hoodies , long loose over sized T-shirts with wide track pants . These just look more masculine than the immodest leggings . But that’s not a problem if we fulfil the modesty rule that is more important than vanity issues . After we finish the sport we are back in our more feminine attire . So our femininity doesn’t actually disappear with the sport .It’s reflected in our daily attire, the way we carry ourselves and what we believe

This is quite a silly thing to argue imo. Weight lifting, martial arts etc., don’t have a net negative if women engage in them. Becoming masculine? That’s stupid. Unless they become professionals at it, perhaps you can argue that. As a hobby or a way to get into shape - it’s perfectly fine. There’s so much scientific data that says strength training is so important to losing weight and good health. There’s also data to suggest weight lifting helps with cognitive health.
Why then are you going to stop women from doing something good for them simply because “men invented it”
Secondly, please for the love of god stop purporting that it will give women a manly figure. We do not produce enough testosterone to gain a manly figure naturally. Me doing weights will only make me leaner. I’m not going to be able to develop massive biceps lol.

If a woman wants to do these sports, she should definitly know that it will develop testosterone (any competition level sports even figure skating will develop testosterone)muscle mass etc..But telling her "men don't like it" is true, but so irrelevant, I mean she likes what she likes .If Allah has decreed that she will get married, she will find one (thats all she needs, ONE man) who likes her true self .Lets not discourage our sisters and daughters to be themselves as long as Allah allows it . All our hobbies don't have to be tailored to whatever would please men, otherwise it is like falling in the same trap as feminists (which is living for the validation of men)while trying to do the opposite . We can be ourselves, and we are all different ,I am speaking as a very traditional woman who does not even own a pant or do any of the sport combat.
Also the other point is we have an epidemic of women who learn this sports to protect themselves.
I mean look around the state of our men and our society?! Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu, brother Gabriel may not even read this comment and may not even make any difference to him, however, although I agree that some women exercise to the point of loosing their feminity, sometimes the strenght has helped others to defend themselves from danger. Recently there was a video of a lady in a gym who fought against a man who wanted to rape her, she had strength has she lifts weights and so she actually gave him a good kick...most of the women nowadays do not have a strong man backing them up, wheather is the brother, or the husband, or the fathers, most men have run away from their obligations so women have had to learn to defend themselves. I am not a feminist or anything closer to it whatsoever, Alhamdulillaah ..some say women want to be like men and this is the reason why everything in society, but this is not the majority of women who have been forced to become somewhat a male version of herself, be it because of violence in the home or outside in society, specially in those were sexual abuse is common. So, not all women have the blessing to have a wealthy, strong husband, who knows his duty, and sit at home to be femenine and work on their femenine body... and those sitting at home , if anything, become lethargic , obese etc... so , where do we draw the line of balance and stop blaming others and as individuals take responsibility for all that we take to extremes. I do believe that our young boys and daughters are bound to face a lot of struggle will all that is there to come, I wish for my sisters to be strong, to be healthy and not victims, how it comes , today we still have to allow other women rip a hijab from a sister's head in the middle of the street and she is scared to the point of leaving hijab altogether, why? We cannot defend ourselves so we are the little sheep in the street and people just do what they want to us ??? May Allah guide us, strghten us and grant us the sincerity in His worship and not allow our hearts to become attached to the deception of this lowly dunya. May Allah forgive us all and keep us all steadfast. Ameen

      @sonny7159 Před rokem +4

Your long description exposes the backwards nature of your argument.
The woman was at a mixed gym? Why?
(Point 1, no matter how you feel about it, free-mixing is not allowed in the shari'ah, and you see the wisdom so clearly in your example.
The fact that women are usually attacked in free-mixed settings (without guardians) is not surprising.
Is anyone's brain turned on here?)
Point 2, you claim women don't always have wali's (guardians) to protect them.
This why women get married, to have a protector in their lives.
Is it the fault of society or your own fault for not getting married and keeping to shari'ah (no free-mixing), and travelling with a guardian?
If you claim the woman cannot get married, then I would reject this proposition in 99.9999% of cases.
(A tremendously small portion of women have mental or physical illnesses completely debilitating them from marriage)
So, the answer for women is to get a guardian in their lives, and become married.
Not to become like men in order to protect themselves...
Plus... Someone has to tell you the truth, because you've been sold delusions...
There are videos of a single man physically assaulting a group of women with ease.
Women are no competition for men, physically.
Do you understand that fact or do you still think you can take on a man on if you "gO tO tHe gYm?"
      It won't help.
All a man has to do is pull out a blade or weapon, and you're in his van before you know it.
You're being sold a hollywood fable.
      The only protection:
      Avoid free-mixing
Become married and travel with a male guardian
Or do you want to find out how weak you are physically against a man by asking a male relative to wrestle you?
You'll be humbled, and finally understand the wisdom behind the protection of the shari'ah.
Women are victims without men, period.
Wrestle one of your male relatives and see what "gOiNg To ThE gYm" will do for a woman.
Put the false delusion you've sold yourself to the test. See the reality.
My sister was number 6 women's junior in tennis (Canada) , and even she knew with all her fitness... She's no match physically for a man.
      Women. Stop falling for hollywood.
      Go and see reality.
Wrestle a male relative, and see for yourself.
Get married and stop with this nonsense of Western life of single women.

SubhanAllaah he is talking reality and most people are losing reality. May Allaah protect us and give us a good end. In this time when you mention the reality of something you are wrong. Like you are saying this is a book and the people say no it is a door. In Holland in the past when you have homo feelings you could appeal for a course to stop these feelings. In this time it is the opposite the person who says its wrong is sick and the homo person is healthy... Its a joke

Why do people feel the need to tell the world unsolicitedly what type of people they aren't attracted to? OK, you and your friends don't like women who do sports. Then just don't date them? There are plenty of men out there who do find them attractive lol. I never understand these videos of why people are worried about what people they aren't dating/married to are doing with their bodies. Worry about your own lol

I teach female only Martial Arts and predominantly attract Muslim women. The stories that I hear based on cultural beliefs are ridiculous the way they have to sneak around and the lack of confidence they have due to stereotypical statements like this is so heartbreaking. I have young girls cutting themselves because they want to train with me but their parents believe it is for men. All because men like this have a stronger rank in their culture and have a bigger impact. Give sisters the voice that they deserve and stop giving Islam a bad name. I am glad you made your comment because I thought exactly the same.

@@malaakghanem7901 The glorification of masculinization of women, and the attempt to downplay shyness and humility as beautiful feminine traits. We look at what is the Ideal man from the Prophet Muhammad's (may peace and blessings be upon him) example. And we look at the example for the Ideal woman, from among the best of women (such as that of Khadijah, may Allah be pleased with her). W shouldn't glorify contradictory models of idealism, if they openly go against the examples of the best of humanity. Nothing wrong with women doing sports, however if it destroys her femininity (such how some male-centered sports cause increasing sterility in women), then this should be discouraged.
