I'd also say really similar to Anakin and Ahsoka. Qui-Gon brought out the best in Dooku and when he was around really tempered Dooku's judgment against a truly corrupt system. Ahsoka leaving and Qui-Gon's death were major turning points for both anakin and dooku. For one both were direct results of the Jedi Council's hubris and shortsightedness. For two both gone made it much easier for their respective masters to go over the line in trying to do "good" leaving them easy pickings for corruption by Palpatine.
Qui gon was probably gonna introduce Obi-Wan to Dooku after they came back from Naboo, which makes the last talk between the last two even more heartbreaking.

Unlike people who kill for pleasure or lead a small unpopular ideology; his reasoning behind leaving the Jedi and supporting the separatists were not started by Palpatine, but by his own opinions that was shared with much of the galaxy. The Jedi had become the secret police of the Senate. Dooku only wished to free the galaxy from its current prison through any means necessary: including becoming a Sith.

The last 4 episodes should be about Anakin and Obi Wan's time during the 10 years between Episode 1 and Attack of the Clones. I've always wanted to see what happened to Anakin and Obi Wan during the 1st year right after The Phantom Menace. There's an old Jedi Quest comic that takes place during Anakin's 4th year, where he builds his first lightsaber and fights a ghost of Darth Maul, goes on a mission to save a jedi and briefly turns to the dark side. @@thecarolinabull01 Eh maybe...but chances are 50/50 and they do say padawan so...🤷♂
I think if it came down to to qui-gon would of helped and sided in count dooku cause he knew he was right and if count had the chance to tell qui-gon what he told obi-wan he would of aided count dooku and took down the sith
Qui-Gon didn’t tell Dooku about Anakin
