I knew they had killed Star Wars but it is getting ridiculous. We have a joke in spanish, it is not La Guerra de las Galaxias, it is called La Guerra de las Ganancias. Which is funny cuz I doubt they are making much out of this low effort movies.
I think people's obsession with criticizing might be due to a lack of beginner's mind. Living life in the moment without baggage and expectations from the past hanging over one like a storm cloud is very serene and pleasant. Please don't take my word for it, try it for yourself.

We don’t care what bloody sex the protagonists are.
We just want good Star Wars with epic lightsaber fights, cool looking bad guys, some fun space battles, a couple of comedy relief characters that are organically introduced and the Force.
Unfortunately, in the past 10 years, we have been supplied a steady stream of sub par content with not much of all that good stuff in there. So people focus on what’s different, being the idea of “Woke” agenda and remakes with rather silly casting choices so it all gets lumped together.
It isn’t hate on women characters, it’s hate on shit writing and sub par characters.
And the fact that we are all old people now. Us kids who grew up with Star Wars are all in our 40s and are becoming grumpy about it 😂

Not sure if you recall everything that went down, so I'll share the exact message: Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Chapek recently confirmed that Kennedy would keep her post as Lucasfilm President for the foreseeable future, so while Disney might not be turning its back on her overall, it certainly seems that they are leaning more and more in the direction of giving creative control of the Star Wars franchise to what is working - in this case Favreau and Filoni’s characters - and leaving Kennedy’s brand of Star Wars behind.
