I strive to follow Jesus Christ. That is who I follow. However, I am totally on board with everything you are saying about what has happened to the native Americans. You are shaking the very foundations of scholarship! I say it is time. The native American’s time has come. You are one of many voices from the dust to whisper! That voice is coming with full power. When confusion and chaos reign in America, it is the native American’s voice that is going to rise in unity. God bless.
I’m on the edge of my seat loving all of this! I enjoy all of what Chief Midegah says. I met him in person and felt goodness from him. I love his attitude of embracing each other as brothers and we are here to lift one another up. I am so excited for what is to come in September with the Natives and to learn more about the records and hopefully the world will be able to see what unity can look like. If the tribes can all sit together in unity then so can the rest of the world. I have nothing but good things to say and continue to look forward to more. I also enjoy how he says he isn’t trying to convert people to anything rather “go read The Book of Mormon”. I could go on for a while, but I support you guys and am excited for what is to come.
David, What you have shared has brought me so much joy to know! Thank you for being a spokesman for the truths of your people. I love that we can join together in honoring God together.
“Questioning my right to be my dad’s son is not going to remove your responsibility to reflect on: are you following, in your thoughts, words, & actions, the One who’s teaching you truth. Are you reading what the [Prophets & Apostles] are saying?” -Chief Midegah
I am so sorry for the negative reception you have received and it it is inexcusable. I am a latter-Day Saint living in central Ohio between the Scioto and Olentangy Rivers surrounded by mounds on the Wyandot lands. I have loved learning more about your history and people and you as a brother. Please stop fighting back with. Your hurt and words. There are many who accept and love h sting you, but please understand that your words are also hurting those who are innocent, accept you and want to know more. Please focus on us with love and let those who need to repent go.
I just want to freaking read it! Haha. Why isn't everyone stoked to read what the Chief has offered? I'm all in on reading it. He says it solidifies the teaching of the Book of Mormon. Why wouldn't I want to read it for myself? Bring it on! 👍
I see these messages as proof that the Lord is in the middle of a great and marvelous work, bringing to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. I love seeing the light and knowledge that others have received and now are setting it upon a hill to be seen by the world. Let your light shine Brother!
Article of Faith 13 says "We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul-We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things." I have always felt the words to this are interesting "we believe all things," and then it lists the virtues describing what things we believe. They sound like the fruits Chief Medigah is presenting.
I love the reminder that God loves ALL His children, and that Latter-day Saints don't hold a monopoly on truth or righteousness. We need to humble ourselves and not consider ourselves better than everyone else. That is the behaviour of the Zoramites with their Rameumptom. We certainly have beautiful truth to offer, but we are fooling ourselves if we think God works only among our people. 2 Nephi Chapter 28 is full of warnings that we need to take seriously. Verses 3-4 say, "For it shall come to pass in that day that the churches which are built up, and not unto the Lord, when the one shall say unto the other: BEHOLD, I, I AM THE LORD'S; and the others shall say: I, I AM THE LORD'S; and thus shall every one say that hath built up churches, and not unto the Lord- And they shall contend one with another; and their priests shall contend one with another, and they shall teach with their learning, and deny the Holy Ghost, which giveth utterance." We are seriously prideful and need to repent if we think that God will only speak to the Latter-day Saints.
When people get super angry about something, that’s where the truth is. People get angry with truth. I’m grateful you have the courage to speak truth, despite opposition.
Never doubt that there are more of us that see you as a brother. The haters are irrelevant. Keep helping is understand our native American brothers and sisters.
I feel that members of the church who are rejecting this man and the idea that there are records from "other sheep" are no different than those who rejected the Book of Mormon. "We have a book, we need no other book".
We have prophets and apostles who direct the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Only when the Lord directs them to accept the Chief, will I accept the chief.
@@StandforTruth712 you are absolutely correct. I would rather be in the side of optimism and potential than rejection as he is experienced. We know that there are other records. How do we know that this isn't how they're going to come out?
@StandforTruth712 Then you wouldn't have liked Hinkley because he loved men like this chief. In both Bible and BOM we're told to seek learning. Prophetic worship is not serving the lord
@@StompMom5 my wife brought up how Joseph came to have the papyrus that led to the book of Abraham. Also, what about the entire saga of how we have the book of Ether.
Chief Midegah, not only are you my brother in Christ, but I feel you as an Indigenous brother. I am Metis, my birth dad's maternal line were Metis Cree and French Canadian. There are some great Cree chiefs in my ancestry. I did not know of this ancestry until about 2004. I am hungry to learn more of my Native culture and the connections to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. Thank you for sharing this information.
It's not you who I doubt about having records. You speak with power and I believe what you say, even without seeing records. Sending much love and respect.
Perhaps those who are attacking are not really lds members but anti or ex members who are trying to stop the truth. Whoever they are, they're unkindness shows they're not following Christ! Keep talking and sharing - those that are with you are a lot more than those who are against you, my brother ❤
soo cool psyching on all this stuff soo exciting we get front row seats to this 3 nephi ch. 16 and 3 nephi ch.20 specifically versus 10-46 happening before our eyes. it was soo important that christ commanded the natives to write it for us in our last days! trust me read ch. 20 twice and remember we are the main gentile nation cuz we the saints are minorities here, also ch. 21 continues the message and he reiterates it
If you believe the Book of Mormon then you should have no problem believing the remnants of the Nephites/Lamanites that Jesus taught. Is it so hard to believe that they would continue to document their history, just as Lego and Nephi were taught. What wonderful stories and history they have to share.God bless you brothers, this is the time to share it with the world.
Well spoken, both of you. An example of sharing Natives history, sacred knowledge, then having its words adjusted then shared with the LDS Church was available at the gathering. I being of Cherokee ancestors, was intrigued by the Murray Rawson = A special report on the religious knowledge of the Cherokee Indians. provided by David Doane. After I finished reading it, my 1st thoughts were, What did the Cherokee elders who shared their story, where is the Raw version, in their own words. Thus i will try to find an answer from David Doane, who sold copies of this report. It is important to have the raw words, in my honest opinion. then we can see it, and move forward from there. Oh its Great information anyways. It was good to see and watch the people and Chief Midegah's interactions with them, much can be learned from listening, watching. He seems to be an honest human being, of good and pure heart. We say, present, share, invite your knowledge. To the listeners, leave some, take, some, as you need, but do not change source materials. We have much to share with one another, none of us individually has all the answers, or information from all sources, through all time, on the topic of God's dealings with All his Sons and Daughters, since the days of our 1st parents. It would be good to keep an open mind and heart, and seek knowledge as close to the source as possible. then as our Father in Heaven has stated, many times, through his Son, if you lack wisdom, have questions, just call home and ask. Prayer. he will answer. To all have a wonderful trip as you walk your paths in this life, some may cross each other, some may not, either way be good to each other, have pure hearts, or work towards it, and a mind of peace. We are all family after all.
Coming from an Area where Iroquois, Algonquin, Cherokee, Shawnee, winedot, were once. I feel such a strong connection to what is said. We know Lamenites were more faithful than Nephites. It stands to reason these sacred scrolls mentioned would uphold the Book of Mormon and the Latter Day people. We are brother and sisters., who desire to follow Christ, his covenants, and to live the way he commanded us to live and care for each other. We are in the Last Days I am convinced. My desire is to see Christ's face to shake is hand and hear well done.
Chief, I am very grateful for you and for your wonderful message. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, I find nothing offensive or threatening in anything I have heard you say. I have nothing but respect for you and for your people. I am terribly saddened to learn of the horrible treatment of your family and ancestors. I consider you my own beloved brother.
IN THE LAST DAYS SATAN WILL RAGE IN THE HEARTS OF MEN..THOSE WHO THINK THEY KNOW MORE THAN EVERBODY ELSE. THEIR PRIDE IS THEI DOWN FALL.. WHERE THEIR IS SO MUCH GOOD THE EVIL ONE ALWAYS WANT TO DESTROY PEACE.. KEEP TGE FAITH. I AM A SMALL PART INDIAN AND FEEL VERY STRONGLY YOU ARE AGOOD CHEIF.
Over this last weekend I was in UT for a family event and met Chief Midegah. I'm convinced his words are true. I always have loved my Book of Mormon peoples. In the words of our Hawaiian brother who sings, Israel Kamakawiwo'ole, "Rise for justice the day has come for all our people to Stand as ONE! We the warriors born to live, work the land and seek and give. Defend the birthright to be free. Give our children liberty!" from E Ala E.
This is the tradition of Babylon, the tradition of owning property, of having more than others' pride. We don't live according to covenants made in Temple, everything is Gods, consecration is not even thought of when we leave the temple doors, we're what is mine is mine, and what's yours is mine. What did the Lord ask the rich man to do. How many times is pride mentioned in the Book of Mormon? It's the number one topic. This is why people discriminate against you. It means you have to give up your things, your pride.
I love you brother. Thank you for sharing the truth that you have been given. We are so GRATEFUL for what you have to share! PLEASE do not be discouraged by the haters. Haters, unfortunately, exist everywhere-even in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They may claim membership, but if they do not follow the teachings, like you said, they are not SAINTS! Please do not heed the mocking and pointing from the great and spacious building (that’s where these “members” really are!) I am a doctor and get negative reviews. I’ve learned not to read these reviews because I give my all to these patients, and they just stomp on my sincere love and care for them. I cannot personally understand this mentality, but I have learned to turn away from this kind of negatively and focus on the positive comments that I get instead. It makes all of the difference-otherwise I feel like quitting! But what good would that do? Satan would win then… You are doing a tremendous amount of GOOD! PLEASE do not give up! There is no need to defend yourself, brother!Your words and actions speak for themselves and the pure in heart (the “elect”-D&C 29:7) will receive them with joy and thanksgiving! Press forward! You are fulfilling prophecy!!!! We love you!!!
The lord will clean HIS HOUSE FIRST. Love you chief! The time is SOON at hand where there will be NO GREY AREA. A side will have to be chosen. I know this is evidence and fulfillment of prophecy that in the last days, the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon will be presented with so much evidence that it will be irrefutable. When the savior comes, he will open up the sealed portion which contains the record of the Brother of Jared. It will show ALL things on how, when, where and why this earth was created.
No opposition for me I’m so excited you are here, you have this knowledge to pass around. Elder Hinckley said, I’m paraphrasing -he invited to everyone to come with what they have and we added to it-You’re our brother together with all your family. I’m also have an ancestry not from native amercans in USA but I know from my tribe in Mexico we have an story of migration from the north and the traditions. It was until I became LDS that I embrace my ancestry before I didn’t I wanted to be Spaniard only but no way to deny it and I appreciate my patriarch blessing much more as time passes. I know one day all native Americans or at least good percentage will come to unite.
Yours and so many other stories and records will come forth in these last days. Yes, we should all be cautious, but there is no reason to instantly write off someone like yourself. Your stories ring true. Strange and “new” and different, but why not true?…..don’t take offense to the close minded. Just continue preaching with love in your heart. ❤️😎👍🏼
Not to be confrontational but I thought that we’re taught that the history of lehi’s descendants was lost to them. The nephites got hunted into extinction & the lamanites turned into a wild people full of hatred. So all that is according to Mormon. I would be willing to accept that what Mormon didn’t know is that there were pockets of his people that made out ok & that could be one explanation to square what’s being said. My point here is to say that no one is trying to steal anyone’s heritage. It’s what’s been taught
I love this verse. D&C9 2 And then, behold, other records have I, that I will give unto you power that you may assist to translate. 3 Be patient, my son, for it is wisdom in me, and it is not expedient that you should translate at this present time.
There is a reason why the book of Mormon asks the question “why have ye polluted the holy church of God“. We profess in the church that the gospel embraces all truth, unfortunately, our fears prevent us from see the truth because it’s not familiar. Thanks for your effort to share more truth.
TRUTH IS A GIFT FROM THE CREATOR. IT IS WHAT IT IS AND WILL WIGGLE OUT AT ITS OWN RATE. CIREF-KEEP WIGGLING. YOU ARE DOING GREAT. I AM CHEORKEE AND A CONVERT. I WAS NOT RAISED IN THE TRADITION SO AM STUDYING AND LEARNING. THANKS FOR YOUR PERSITANCE AND SPIRIT. BTW I am LDS.
At its most basic what you are saying Midegah, my brother, is that Jesus is the Christ and witness to his work. Anyone who tries to do that will be attacked with absolute hatred because many among us are not saints but members of the opposition. Christ himself was persecuted and killed by his own people. Joseph Smith was martyred for his testimony and now you and your people are facing a new attack because you have the truth. I hope I do not step beyond what is correct to call you my brother because in blood and spirit you are. God bless. You are in my prayers daily.
As an LDS, i am excited about this. Joseph Smith did identify there were some tribes connected to Israel, not all of them, but some. lets embrace our Indian Israelite brothers.
He is a faithful Latter-day Saint. He is just responding to a few LDS folks who have treated him poorly. But most are welcoming him in brotherhood and love.
The Scriptures say that All of the writings from All of the peoples of the Earth will be gathered together in one in the last days. What this Chief is saying is a confirmation of that scripture. The Savior said he would gather All. As LDS we should be glad to see these writings coming forth from all the "isles of the sea" one of which is North America.
I think its unfortunate that some people in the lds faith could act so terrible and attack people. I appreciate this new information and i welcome with open arms. You are shaking the very foundations of scholarship! I say it is time. The native American’s time has come. You are one of many voices from the dust to whisper! That voice is coming with full power. When confusion and chaos reign in America, it is the native American’s voice that is going to rise in unity. God bless.
Chief Midegah I pray the *3 Nephites* will work with you. What a sacred honor that would be!❣🙏
Watching all the different videos you have been in I’ve been drawn to your excitement in sharing you heritage. I love it. Keep going forward
I wish I could give this 10 thumbs up.
I listen to you every time I find you. Thank you for your service. Thank you for the hope you bring. God Bless You.
What's going on in September?
I think this good man speaks the truth. It's so sad to know how his people have been hurt.❤❤❤
TRUTH! 💙
The great spirit confirmed to me here in New Zealand that the book of mormon is a record of my people my ancestors.
If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things."
I have always felt the words to this are interesting "we believe all things," and then it lists the virtues describing what things we believe.
Well said!
Exactly
This is Soo cool can't wait to hear more ❤Thank you for all you do.
Joseph Smith even said he had more to give to the members, but they wouldn’t accept it so he didn’t.
Just keep speaking ...you have a message and the church and it's members will learn a lot if they listen!
It's not you who I doubt about having records. You speak with power and I believe what you say, even without seeing records. Sending much love and respect.
I find this information fascinating! Thank you so much for sharing!!!!
Amen Brother!
Many LDS are very prideful these days just as predicted.please dont hold it against all of us. Some of us are awake. And we're with you.
I absolutely love what I am learning.....the wheat and tares are splitting!
Perhaps those who are attacking are not really lds members but anti or ex members who are trying to stop the truth. Whoever they are, they're unkindness shows they're not following Christ! Keep talking and sharing - those that are with you are a lot more than those who are against you, my brother ❤
Lov love this.
Thank you for this episode.
It has given my testimony strength.
WoW. Do not stop.
soo cool psyching on all this stuff soo exciting we get front row seats to this 3 nephi ch. 16 and 3 nephi ch.20 specifically versus 10-46 happening before our eyes. it was soo important that christ commanded the natives to write it for us in our last days! trust me read ch. 20 twice and remember we are the main gentile nation cuz we the saints are minorities here, also ch. 21 continues the message and he reiterates it
nephi mathonihah timothy
This was really good... nice additions Dan.
Cousin! Artemis Millett is my ancestor too!! I’m excited to be related to you
Love it. This is a great moment. Keep going. Very briliant.
I like you and what you are saying. Thank you and keep sharing.
Exactly - it's a sifting. I hate it that some folks I know and family will be sifted out, but it's part of the plan.
Chief, the first time I heard you speak, I felt your authority. You are so needed! I love you and I'm praying for you. Be blessed 🌿
Let’s come together and “affirm what you have”.
Thank you for sharing and your advise. It’s well founded and thought out.
Thank you for sharing. God bless you.
This is incredibly good!!
I believe the words you are speaking. The spirit bears witness of truth.
Thank you, Chief Midegah! I honor you!❤
Love it: "Calm Down." It's awesome that Chief Midegah is opening the door to these discussions and relationships. Keep going, my brother!
Good message!
Thank you, Chief Midegah
The Video always ends when the spirit is strongest 😢.
love what you are saying love the native americans Im greatful to be part of this great part of heavenly Fathers plan
I love this podcast and your truths.
I feel like I've just sat down in a movie that's 2/3 rd's over! Where's the start of this discussion? Thanks
16:15 - PLEASE DO NOT BE DONE!! Hang in there - we want to keep this up along with you.
I love this verse. D&C9 2 And then, behold, other records have I, that I will give unto you power that you may assist to translate. 3 Be patient, my son, for it is wisdom in me, and it is not expedient that you should translate at this present time.
This may be in reference to the Pearl of Great Price.
There is a reason why the book of Mormon asks the question “why have ye polluted the holy church of God“. We profess in the church that the gospel embraces all truth, unfortunately, our fears prevent us from see the truth because it’s not familiar. Thanks for your effort to share more truth.
Shouldn't the temple endowed be just as comfortable in the Midou Lodge?
Stay strong Brother. My father worked with the Native Americans at BYU. Because of that I have a special place in my heart from you all.
those negative people will be weeded out by the Lord
The code of Handsome Lake meeting the Savior and the 3 men is one I love to read
As an LDS, i am excited about this. Joseph Smith did identify there were some tribes connected to Israel, not all of them, but some. lets embrace our Indian Israelite brothers.
Kudos to you. Amen. Thank you. I'm Cherokee or my grandfather was. This is an awesome teaching.
I'm not understanding if he's anti Latter Day Saint or if he's a believing Latter Day Saint.
He is a faithful Latter-day Saint. He is just responding to a few LDS folks who have treated him poorly. But most are welcoming him in brotherhood and love.
chief Midegah, i am starting see what you are saying. God bless you!
God bless us all and for the LDS people to be humble, listen!
It's Jesus' work. He will bring all the Father's children together who want to come.
Chief Midegah will you answer one thing for me? Do you have to pay any form of tithing to get into the lodge?
I think its unfortunate that some people in the lds faith could act so terrible and attack people. I appreciate this new information and i welcome with open arms. I think its all about the great sifting. Wheat and tares. Also president benson warned us about the wolves in sheeps clothing. I 100% support cheif! Like Brigham young said we take all and welcome all truth
