Just for your information, my missionary companions and I taught Wayne May and I baptized him in Madison, Wisconsin in July 1970. 39 years later I learned of his discovery of BOM artifacts and evidences from Bruce H. Porter and his books and magazines. I also worked with Sister Randall, the only Chipewa member in the Rhinelander branch in Wisconsin. Her brother was Chief Ackley of the Mole Lake Chipewa Tribe. The Burrows cave is near Olney, Ill.(not Indians) l served in the Northern States Mission 1968-Sept to Sept 1970. America IS the land of the Book of Mormon.

The untrained observer thinks that academic preparation is little more than fine-tuning what the untrained mind can grasp. In reality what happens is two-fold: (A) You don't know huge swaths of facts that would impact your interpretations, and worse, (B) you aren't even aware of huge bodies of knowledge and you are unaware of how they play critical roles in interpreting data. This is no mere game of words. You will say, "Hey, this lake could be the Waters of Mormon", but you would not even know that the lake was created by a geologic event 500 years ago, for example. So unless bona fide scholars are supporting Wayne's conclusions, it is best to be skeptical or even just honest and call all that so-called evidence "rubbish". Unlike what church prophets teach, there is no pan-global, multidisciplinary, centuries-running conspiracy to suppress Book of Mormon evidence, all led by da devil. All scientific disciplines reach their conclusions independent of each other that the BoM is poppycock and fake. As for me, I love the Book, and it so brings me to Christ that I am persuaded to believe it is historical, but unlike church leaders, I'm no longer playing dumb for the brethren.

Son of my right hand is the meaning of the name Benjamin. Maybe the one who carved the stone was named Benjamin. Or maybe this is a representation not of Jesus but of King Benjamin.
The problem with adding the word Son in the definition is that in one on the Michigan Artifacts, it uses this symbol next to Miriam. She is a daughter. Not a son. Nevertheless, that is just a technicality, for the meaning of the terms are synonymous.
Possibly Jerry Grover could help with translation. He translated the characters document and although it was reformed Egyptian he was translating, he has a knack for languages. A gift for it, I would say. You can reach him on his website.
If you have seen a photo of Chief Midegah's first scroll he took to the conference in Utah, there are two symbols on there, just above the seated man, that look very similar to your bottom two symbols. The partial, what looks to me like crossed shepherd's hooks, seem the same, except the image is flopped, like a mirror image of each other. The scroll includes a crescent above and dots below. Then the right angle on the scroll is flipped so that it is like our "L". That similarity seems significant to me. I don't believe Midegah has made public the meaning of those symbols so far, but perhaps you might find further illumination of the meaning in comparing and discussing them with him. Just my impression.

The x next to it is evidently the hook and flail used exactly like the Egyptians used it. The arc above is letter M used in the name for Adam as used by the Ojibwe. It is all fascinating.
