  • As many people want to argue about the location of the Book of Mormon, placing a great divide on where the book take place, you may be surprised about the similarities of all the people.

      Two weeks? Try 200 years. I think he’s talking about just the disrespect from people since he has come out to speak publicly about the things he has known his whole life. This is why a lot of people in the various tribes and nations don’t share knowledge with people because they are disrespected when they do, this is nothing new. I started listening over 25 years ago, and I was amazed at what I was told. This is not just a history. This is a way of life. I’m sorry that he was disrespected also. I’m sorry that a lot of other people who have tried to speak truth over the last 50 years have been disrespected. Some have been put in jail. Sounds familiar or doesn’t it? Sort of like when Joseph Smith and other people try to speak truth and people got agitated and tried to murder them, and then put them in jail. So he understands.

      I am not native American. But I grew up loving everything about the "People". I'm certain that I don't know everything about them, but I grew up LDS, & I took had a life event that caused pain and very hurt feelings and I fell away from the church for a time, until about 6-7 years ago. I always had a testimony, so I felt it was finally time I returned to it. I believe everything that Chef Midigah said is the truth. So, now I am trying to understand what the church authorities say about it. And exactly what is it that the cheif
      wants? Is he asking to be acknowledged? Or is there some sort of status or title he wants from the church? I'm not trying to seem sarcastic here, I just really want to understand what exactly it is he is looking for at this point? Does he want the church to sign a document, the same way the Jewish rabbis did in Israel? Just looking for some clarity. Thank you, and I look forward to hearing more about these things he knows. I also would love to see one of the scrolls he says he has, and would like to know if they have been carbon tested & dated for authenticity? And I want to hear more details about the boat that was found in the ice in the great lakes!! More please! MORE!! God bless you, for bringing this to light! 🥰🙏❤️

      All of his people are priceless treasures. This is one of the things that drove me away from the church many years ago among other things. I’ve made the decision to come back recently because they changed the way they were doing things so that it was more equal in every direction. The people that we call Native Americans, which is really a very generalized term all no connections to each other and other tribes and nations. They have so much more knowledge than people even realize it is insane. I started on that path over 25 years ago, and learned so much it made my head melt. It’s not just about genealogy it’s about a way of life. The term walking the red road actually means something. As a people, Americans have a lot to learn and time is very very short. Ephraim and Manassa are brothers. That is something that people need to remember. Therefore those who are descended from Ephraim and Manassa, our brothers, and that is something that we should be living. That’s all I have to say for now.

      @@truthseeker4286 that sounds a tad bit sarcastic and antagonistic towards the church. If you remember, and you’re saying this, you should perhaps explain your position. If you’re not a member and you’re here to attack the church, and it’s members, perhaps you would do well to remember that there are a great mini people who have indigenous lineage that are members of the church. They know their own histories in many cases, but some do not because they have had their own history withheld from them. The same is true in the United States. you talk about Brigham Young saying, and doing things that were not very nice towards the different tribes at that time, but there is a lot more to history in America and how unkind people have treated each other than people care to admit. If you want to really add what’s going on right now to the whole spectrum of it, look how unkind people are to each other everywhere in the world and especially in the United States right now. Look how unkind members of the church are to one another. this isn’t about one man. Brigham Young was a man of his time just as all the other ones were. How many people could have stepped forward and did not? so it wouldn’t be fair or proper to sing out Brigham Young, even as a leader of the church, when in fact, most men and women of those days simply turned a blind eye to the atrocities, carried out against the indigenous people of North America, and for that matter central and South America as well.

I myself have been trying to prove that there is a history of the people in the south eastern states, and I have been opposed strongly by academia and local governments who intend to be an obstacle in my way of trying to prove this. So I have to be quiet, that’s OK. The spirit will tell me when the time is right to reveal all these things, and I think that the rose is blooming now. Just a little sidenote… There are a lot of different groups of people who have individual identities as families, clans, and nations. I’m not chastising, or correcting you, just giving you some helpful information. He told you what groups he belongs to, so technically speaking, I could say that I am Native American because my family have been here for Seven generations. There is a difference between being native and American, and from an indigenous group that actually has a name.Anishnaabe, Ojibwe, Seneca, Blackfoot, Lakota, Dineh, Apache, crow, Cheyenne, Muskogee, Apalachee, Catawba, Uchi, Yamasi, Hidatsa, Chippewa, Choctaw, And so on… Are all names of different groups, tribes, and nations. so I think how to prospect. Perhaps we should call the person by their name first, and perhaps say that this is the name of of the group of people or their family or clan or tribe or nation, which they come from. It’s like saying that if you are from Ohio or Texas or Virginia or Florida or Tennessee. That’s the best approximation I can give. But he already said that if you go back far enough many of these tribes and nations have common origins. It is my belief that many of them can trace their origins back to the area that was inhabited by a large group of people called “Hopewell“. That’s just an animal that the archaeologists give it. Wayne is good, but it’s even better to talk to and listen to the people themselves and hear what they have to tell you. That’s what Wayne did. That’s what I did long ago.

Let's just keep this between us, the curious who have eyes to see, ears to hear, and we will pray to know if this man speaks truth or not.

    • @sarahschroeder5382
      @sarahschroeder5382 Před měsícem +3

      Does that matter to you so much? My comment had nothing to do with that. I’m not so hung up on it, as one of the many people on this continent that I believe are Lamanite descendants and while also a Book of Mormon believer. Have you not considered that the state of the soul is quite “white and delightsome” when it is made holy by God? (I consider “white” here to be synonymous with “pure” like snow rather than anything race related) And that accepting divine truth when it is offered to you and living according to that divine path is quite a purifying thing, regardless of our outward appearances?
      It seems clear in the Book of Mormon, whoever repented and followed the Creator, was spiritually purified and blessed, regardless of origin or skin color. It also is clear and states that God’s word is for all people and all are welcome and invited by God, black and white, bond and free, male and female. And beyond that is the real question: do the teachings of Holy men in the Book of Mormon testify of Christ? Yes, they do. Do the teachings of Holy men in the Book of Mormon bring a person closer to God if one follows them? My personal experiences show me that they do, as does the New Testament. Having passed these tests for me, and having found it a welcome blessing in my life, the topic you bring up has no importance, personally. What I do find significant is how there are many native traditions, teachings, or practices that seemingly align with the teachings and prophecies of the Book of Mormon (as an example, the 7 Fires of the Anishinaabe), both sides corroborating the same thing. Now that is cool and worthy of focus.
      But I doubt any of this will matter to you because it doesn’t suit the agenda you seem to be serving on here. Good luck to you, Robert.

      It’s good to have compassion for others., Sometimes when things happen over a period of generations, decades, and centuries, they happen for a reason. When people become lifted up, proud, rebellious and and unrighteous, heavenly father has a way of knocking people down a few pegs until they realize that we are nothing without him. I will have to save this carefully as an example, look at what happened to the people that allowed our Lord to be tortured and crucified. The anger of a mob that had been manipulated by evil men ended up coming back to bite them. They are descendants suffered, because they themselves sad. Let it be upon our heads on the heads of our children, this kind of comment could get me banned so I’ll have to be careful about this. Please understand what I’m saying. Truth is not pretty. The people of Laman had finished off the people of Nephi , they went to war with each other. For a long time. Rivalries, jealousy, greed, lust for power, and general unrighteousness fed these endless wars. America right now doesn’t it? That’s why the book of Mormon is a voice of warning. It showed us what happened when a whole people became wicked, and their leaders were allowed to do whatever they wanted to do. We are in the same situation now. We owe it to this man and others who have something valuable to tell us, to listen without prejudice. Setting aside politics and racial and language and cultural divides, we should at least listen to a warning or an admonition from people who lived in the past and saw their own nation wiped out. Injustice and atrocities have always happened throughout the history of mankind. There are injustices and atrocities being carried out right now by many of our own people and our own government. We should understand the parallels. a good way towards building a bridge between the different people is to start by listening. Then, reach out a hand by getting off the sofa and doing something. We have become far too complacent in this nation. Just like every other civilization that fell. We need to start getting up and showing our faith by what we do not just what we say.

    • @csluau5913
      @csluau5913 Před měsícem +3

      Yes, and no. They were different groups of people living in different parts of the Americas, contemporarily and independently of each other. However, they did have trade relations established with each other. Remember that the book of Mormon purpose is to be a voice of warning of what happens when you allow unrighteous behavior to overtake a civilization. North America is a covenant land. As far as we know that could extend all the way down to the other Americas but I’m pretty sure for the intent and purpose of this discussion will just say North America. Those who do not keep the covenants with the Lord will be wiped off the land. This has happened at least three times already. We as modern-day American citizens may be the fourth group to join that list. The peoples that lived in North America are not the same as the peoples that lived in Central and South America, but overtime they would have bumped into each other, of course, and established. There are old stories about the Muskogee, having interactions with the people of central and South America, who were traveling along the coast from Mexico to what is now, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, and West, Florida, over near Pensacola and Apalachicola. There are things that are even contained in the names of those places that translate out to be a place where friends met. So, I understand what you are saying, but you shouldn’t laugh at any theory unless you have a better one, perhaps? These theories are not just random theories put together by a conspiracy theorists. There is actually bona fide physical evidence to support these ideas. I know this, because I have personally found evidence that supports, the idea and reality that different groups of people passed through different parts of the country previous to European contact. It’s your decision and you can choose whatever you want to, but I tell you that I believe a modified version of the heartland model would be more truthful and accurate. I do not believe that the book of Mormon event depicted took place in Mesoamerica or South America. However, I do believe that similar things happened down there, within a couple of centuries of the events that transpired in the book of Mormon. Evil has way of working around the block and spreading from one nation to another. I’ve seen the enemy do this many times in history.

      Yes… in many ways that is true. If you listened to what he said, he told you that there were multiple connections through trade routes and intermarriage that United a lot of the different peoples in all of the Americas to one another. Over a long period of time. Remember that the book of Mormon is primarily a spiritual witness, but it is also a historical witness that mixes spiritual messages with physical evidence of the things that happened to people when they failed to listen to the Lord and their covenants, and became worldly and wicked. War broke out. People that had formally been family turned upon each other. This is what the enemy wants. He wants to even divide people within the church and keep people away from the church by creating the whole heartland versus Meso America thing. I’ve been trying to get this message across for the last couple of years to people when I talk to them about book of Mormon, history and archaeology. I’ve been trying to tell them that there are links between the different cultures that go back centuries. Personally, it is my belief that most of the events depicted in the book of Mormon itself occurred in North America. However, there are references made in the book of Mormon, that in my opinion Are pointing towards Central and South America and the people there. Also the islands of the sea. That means at that time there was knowledge had amongst the people in all of the Americas and the islands that knew of each other’s existence. I’m being really. It couldn’t be any more obvious to me, but of course I guess some people just don’t pick up on those references. The Lord himself mentioned other sheep, he had to attend to, and and then amongst the Nephites mentioned that as well, so he didn’t just say those things as random comments. He was letting his apostles and followers know that there were other people in the world that he had to find and teach the gospel to … and he kept his word. There are many legends and stories and “myths quote of a Christl man showing up in various places around the world at different times. Every human being on earth is a child of God. Every human being on earth deserves to hear his word. So yes, you are correct that things happened during the book of Mormon time and all of the Americas. They just are not mentioned in detail, throughout the book of Mormon.

    Thanks for sharing this Chief. Native Americans and members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints do have a lot in common, both were forced to move out of their homes to basically uninhabitable places that we both made bloom as the rose, both were almost wiped out by the US or State governments because we were perceived as a threat to their views. We are both told what we believe and what our origins are instead of asking us. It is so important to know our own history. I see my pioneer ancestors being slandered by lies all the time but luckily I have read my ancestors journals and histories and know the truth. I have Cherokee ancestors several generations back also and would love to learn that history also. We are all the same family, we are all children of God. I am so grateful for family history because I can see just how connected we all are. The scriptures are true and are historical documents that have way more information than scholars and archeologists hypotheses and there is so much truth yet to be revealed out there to learn. “seek ye learning out of the best books by study and also by faith” as it says in D&C 109.

My ancestors and your ancestors used to fight each other in Georgia and then eventually, they decided to be friends, thankfully. My family and the local village traded blows, and killed a number of each other’s families, and then made peace. I actually read the papers dating back to the 1700s that talk about this. in the end, the Muskogee got the short end of the stick though. We got moved to Oklahoma. I do know Muskogee and people who still live in Georgia though. They never left. They just faded into the background for a few generations and then popped back up. I have met some amazing people, in my lifetime from various tribes and nations. Muskogee, Lakota,Dineh, AniTunwiya, Catawba, Ojibwe, Seneca, and Yuchi. That doesn’t even count the people I have met from Samoa and New Zealand. The place where my family lived, some of my people were buried alongside some of their people long ago in Coweta. My European ancestors who settled in that area, asked permission to bury their dead in the same area, and it was granted. To me that is an amazing thing. The daughter of the local chief and her husband were buried beneath a broad pile of stones. All the rest of the people were buried in regular graves, although some were just marked with a stone or some large rocks. Then other generations of my family were buried with headstones. There are all people buried there from all over the place. Soldiers from both sides, and the Americans Civil War are buried there. It’s a shame that we cannot take a page from that lesson and be united in life, the same way that we are reunited in the spirit world.

      I can tell you some things that I have seen. I won’t mention the name of the tribe or nation, but I can tell you that I have seen it firsthand… There is one particular place in eastern America, where there are a lot of members of the church, who are also members of a local tribe. There are quite a few people in the tribe who are hostile towards the church and the book of Mormon. I mean really hostile. They actively speak out against the church and the book of Mormon, and they say it is nonsense and false, etc. Ironically these are the same people who go along with, and believe the “model “of how their civilization evolved, and where they came from that has been told to them by archaeologists and anthropologist, who, in my opinion, have created their own false narrative to support the doctrine of manifest destiny, and so on, etc. I’ve run into this more than once. Keeping my personal and spiritual beliefs out, I have seen archaeologists, government officials, and even tribal officials stand directly in the way of missionaries going out onto a reservation and proselyting. There are some things that change and other things that never will. There will always be opposition to truth, and there will always be opposition to the gospel. No matter where you go in the world. There are people that I have met in my lifetime, who were members of an indigenous tribe or nation that did not even know their own history, or any of their own language Chief had said it had been beaten out of them over generations. This is exactly what manifest destiny and other false principles of aggression have done. They have destroyed the cultural memory of an entire people. However, there were some people such as the wisdom, keepers, and people and historians that kept the stories and the things Quietly hidden away and continued to teach these things to people privately, and did not tell any of the stories to American settlers or colonists, because they knew it would get them into hot water. Anytime, a cultural or spiritual movement has been born in any nation, it was very quickly stomped flat by a group of people that felt threatened by it. I’ve seen this firsthand.

      @@csluau5913 I agree. I served in Utah, and one of my areas was in Roosevelt. I had been with one companion for two weeks, and in a threesome for a month. Over there, we had been given a referral for a young girl on a nearby reservation, and so we dropped by, the family didn't answer, and we left. About 1-2 weeks later, just before the baptism service of a different investigator, we were inquired for by a drunk Native American. We talked with him after the service, and he warned us that we were noticed there and to not enter the reservation without another Native American being with us, because we were white. Turns out one of the other elders in our companionship was part-Native American, which the guy didn't realize. So he told me and my other companion to be careful. Honestly, it was kind of odd, let alone creepy, that word had gotten to them about a baptism that was taking place in another ward. Not sure how that happened. So many amazing things!! Thank you. God is in control and when the time is right-his timing, not any one nation or people-all things will be brought together. He Is leading the church and His Prophet. This land was always HIS land and will be used to accomplish HIS purposes when covenant promises and curses are fulfilled.

    I too am sorry you have been disrespected. What we are taught in schools has no bearing on reality it would seem. I could listen for hours. I have never found history so fascinating. The Book of Mormon is coming even more alive to me listening to you speak.

    It happened just where Joseph Smith said it did. A question that I often ask : What happened to the Gadiantons ?
    1. Were they destroyed ?
    2. Did they disband and form an inter tribal secret society ?
    3. Did they form a separate tribe ?

      The gadiantons still exist on a GRAND scale! It doesnt refer to a tribe, the term refers to secret very corrupt societies, which are currently the heads of nations trying to usher in Globalism, a one world government. Their goal is to bring oppression to the whole world and stamp out Christianity!
      "You will own NOTHING, you will eat bugs, and be happy."
      Those are the current goals of the WEF, for every nation.

      Ask yourself this question and see what answer you come up with… What happens when a predator has nothing left to prey upon? They turn upon each other. The Lord has even pointed this out previously. Wicked people will very quickly turn upon other wicked people, and take them as a prey. I mean, it’s all over the book of Mormon, and in the Bible. It’s how the tribes became scattered. They became wicked. The Lord allowed one wicked group of people to attack the other because they broke their covenant with him. The robbers probably consumed each other and themselves into death and died in their sins. Just reasoning it out.

      Joseph Smith guessed?that Quiriguia in Guatamala likely was Zarahemla in 1843 Times&Seasons ,found by a discoverer Stephenson the year before,only thing no bones or chariots found under there,only Mayan ruins
