    I was somewhat skeptical of the Selective Yellow when I got the SS3 Pro’s. After having them almost 2 years, I won’t go back to white. Driving in bad weather is vastly better, especially snow since they eliminate the UV spectrum color that reflects off moisture on the road and in the air. Plus it helps with eye fatigue on long drives. I know some don’t care for the yellow look. But if you’re like me and prefer function over form, yellow is the way to go. Personally I like the aesthetics of the yellow contrast over OEM LED headlights.

      I LOVE yellow fogs with nice white HID headlights. I think it looks so nice together! It's a shame manufactures don't make more yellow fogs. I just stumbled upon these and so excited to order and get them!

      ...that depends on if you get bad/ugly wx where you live and drive. Do you do a lot of night driving and is it raining/snowing a lot at night? The elite optic should outperform an OE (reflector) fog light. As long as these lights illuminate the sides/lines of the road (white lines on gray pavement in the rain at night are incredibly hard to see), either color should work. Since they are fog lights, nothing wrong w/yellow. If you want to match, then the white should work; plus the white will appear brighter to the eye.

    I wired my amber feature to come on with switched 12v ignition to act as a DRL(Required by law in Canada), its subtle and keeps the piggies happy. As far as I know DRLs here just have to illuminate and don't have a minimum lux requirement.

      Which wire did you tap your backlight in to for that. The videos here say the green wire on the headlight connector (2022 4Runner) but that’s only when the main headlight is on. Just curious what wire you used for that.

    I would really like to have seen a bigger wall for the width and a compare of SS3 Max you have vs the elite. How is the Elite as compared to SS3 sport? Price point on them is comparable where Max is 2.5x the price. My son's Kia has SS3 sport yellow fog which are noticeably brighter than the Morimoto xB's in my daughters CRV.

    Would have been cooler if they went actual amber like the morimoto xb amber fogs. Factory fit and bright ambers for the win. Paired with morimoto amber drl xb can’t be beat.

    • @LightwerkzGlobal
      @LightwerkzGlobal  Před 2 lety +1

      Actual amber would probably bring down the intensity even further. For example, the Morimoto XB fog lights in amber are lower intensity than stock halogen fog lights. I am glad you are happy with them though but personally feel this is a better option all around.

    • @K03sport
      @K03sport Před rokem

      ... selective yellow is better for inclement wx if you want to see vs just other ppl seeing you. 2900-3000 kelvin yello is better than the 2400-2500 Kelvin amber light. Sure the amber light looks nice, but I'll take just a bit warmer light to see better at night in ugly weather.

    • @LightwerkzGlobal
      @LightwerkzGlobal  Před rokem +1

      Best thing to do is mark the originals and set to same height for preliminary aim. From Daniel Stern lighting:
      Fog lamps -
      Up to 18" (46 cm) 1.5" (38 mm)
      18.5" to 28" (47-71 cm) 3" (76 mm)
      28.5" or higher (72 cm) 4" (102 mm)
