Hoping you guys make a elite version that fits the sizes of previous gen Mazdas. I got a 2012 mazda3 and a 2014 Miata that I would love to get these on. Morimoto’s xb fogs have an available version but I been holding out for you guys.
@3:54 Just received these fogs and wiring kit for a 2021 STI and what I don't see is the backlight wire and taps. I'm guessing the vendor that sold me this kit is responsible for that or maybe their wiring kit (since my STI has no fog lights) would work for everything? Once I have these installed, I will report back. It just feels like I have everything but the back-lght wire and taps. Looking forward to this!
Is the wiring same for Subaru Ascent model? I checked my Ascent Limited trim with LED headlight and it does not contain the red & black wire only. I contacted Diode Dynamics via email and they don't have the answer for me.
Hey there! Unfortunately, we would refer to our customer service team as well for more info, if they are unaware of a solution, unfortunately, so are we. We apologize for the inconvenience!
Can someone please confirm if these are in fact brighter than the SS3s? Spread is still the same? I want these instead of the SS3s as it provides more of an OEM look. TIA!
Hey there! Elite Series Fog Lamps are right in line with our SS3 Sport regarding performance. Measured Lumen Output: ES 1850 lm vs SS3 1520 lm Peak Intensity: ES 10200 cd vs SS3 10600 cd However, our Elite Series Fog Lamps utilize a custom-engineered patent-pending optic that delivers an extremely sharp cut-off, wide beam pattern, and unique BMW style color banding.
Thank you. I'm hoping with the harness kit, hardware and bezels, these will fit just fine in a 2021 WRX STI. Why on earth Subaru stopped putting fogs in the 18+ is beyond me, especially for a "rally car." Thank you again!!
I got these for my Ascent and my guess they're the same as SS3 Sport. SS3 Pro and Max has higher lm output but it doesn't look as nice as OEM look and spread of the Elite. My plan is to replace my Ascent stock fog light with Elite. Then I'll mount the SS3 Pro Driving model right under the front bumper if I needed more light at night. I'm still trying to figure out how to mount the wiring for both to make it look clean. Might have to spend extra and take it to a pro shop.

It’ll be awesome if a future version comes with a white backlight. Hoping it’s possible!
Hey Jason! We'll definitely pass your feedback on to our engineering team.

Can the backlight wire be connected to the OEM headlight "C light" wire?
You should be able to tap that wire with no issues!
Hey is this brighter then oem Subaru wilderness?
These lamps provide a significant increase in performance over any factory fog lamp!

so the backlight functionality is not required, right? the fog light will work as fog light only without the orange wire tapped, correct?
Tapping the backlight is not required if you don't plan on using it. Just make sure you take the unused backlight wire lead and tape it off.
How do you do the backlight with aftermarket headlights? I have subispeed headlights and I don’t know what cable to splice into.
Hey there! You would need to find which wire is for the DRL on your aftermarket headlight. We would recommend contact the manufacturer!
2015 Subaru Impreza sport, would it fit ?

How do these compare to the SS3s in fog configuration?
Hey Kris! These are comparable in output to an SS3 Sport.
The amber backlight intensity seems a bit too low.
It's quite visible at night - check the look at 4:30 in this video! It won't be too visible outdoors during the day though.
