    Hot take: Units that cause terror themselves shouldn't have that contact effect. I'm only 50% opposed to it existing in general, but it should require you set up some kind of combination, not just a flat No-U that allows a terror causing monster to ignore ITP.
    You wouldn't implement a way to rout off unbreakable units either.

    • @darthplagueis13
      @darthplagueis13 Před 3 lety +22

      Also hot take: Seeing Grimgor rout like this is a shameful display. The only time this lad ever left a battlefield where there possibly was still some fighting to be had was when he was super miffed, not because he was scared and if anyone had genuinely tried to attack him at that time, he would have butchered every last one of these Chaos Warriors and shoved Krom's head up his arse so far that even Slaanesh wouldn't have been able to find it anymore.

      @@QuestionableObject I think it's more an issue with there being no real way to limit what fear and terror applies to. Like for instance, most monsters should be terror-causing to non-elite infantry, but single-entities and heroes shouldn't really be terror-routing from a hydra. But someone like Archon, Grimgor or Vlad should be terrifying to heroes and infantry alike.
      Fear and Terror are very all-or-nothing, so the solutions tend to be clumsy. If we had, say, Terror 1-5 and Psychology Resistance 1-5 it would be easier to fine-tune what could scare what. I realise that leadership somewhat fills this role (units can't rout about 1/2 leadership?), but it's too open to outside manipulation (like a hero suddenly becoming deathly afraid of a Varghulf because some pikemen near him are dying to skeletons).

Idk wtf noname characters are doing with weapon strength around 1k. In vanilla, thats Kholek and I think he needs his levels and items for that, too. Everyone else has to cheese to get that powerful with Sword of Khaine and more. Even for Louen and Karl its a stretch I feel like.

    I still think even in SFO Grimgor is a weak lord. He has still the same problem as in the base game. Not enough support. His Waagh isn't that special. His abilities aren't interesting either. He should at least support and buff units like Black Orcs, Big Uns, Orc Boar Boy Big Uns and Orc Boyz in ways, that turns the big orcs into different beasts. These kind of units should be completely different beasts if they're lead by Grimgor in comparison to for example Skarsnik. For example getting something like perfect vigour for a time. Or becoming completely immune to fear and terror. Giving his big orc unit more armor and / or more missile resistance, as Grimgors Army is probably not much into missile troops. More of a Khorne like theme. Beat the shit out of them in melee. The big orcs in Grimgors Waagh should grow quite faster and become stronger compared to other Waaaghs. Which isn't really reflected, even in SFO. Skarsnik on the other should probably buff any kind of Night Goblin and Squiggs into monsters other Orc Legendary Lords cannot.
    But so far even in SFO Grimgor is just waddling axe that can't really catch much. He should probably have some kind of berserker ability, getting tankier and hitting harder the more hp he loses and the hotter the fight gets. This way he can still waddle, but the enemy will probably be forced to face him in melee eventually, which should be ugly. Him routing to something like army losses looks extremely weird as well, although i can understand that game mechanics have to be respected at the end.
    Overall, bringing mobility against these slow Black Orcs will always be beneficial. This Slaanbull being able to rout units that are immune to psychology is just stupid though. Very weird decision to give him that kind of ability. Either a unit is immune to psychology or it is not.
