Hex by far my favorite mid
All three are great discs it's all about that hand feel. I bag an ethereal pathfinder I dig it but i gotta say I love how even people who don't like the buzz still throw really well with it. Damn thing is undeniable.
That’s what i saw “ hey this disc exactly what i want it to do but it’s just not for me ?”
@Ryan Bahr it's hand feel for me. My Simon Hex immediately kicked my Buzzz out of the bag just because I love how it feels so much better
The buzz gets caught on my hand never comes off clean for me I am a fore hander and it just does not release clean. The hex comes off my hand like butter I get good torque for my arm speed.
Dude you're cranking out content. Glad I subbed. Loving these disc checks and comparisons
The Hex is great, but I actually slightly prefer the stability of the Reactor! Mvp family for the win either way
I bag both, great discs
I bag both the hex and reactor, the Hex for more turnover/hyzer flips and the reactor just goes straight for like 95-100 meters. Love them both :D
I came here to say this
The reactor Rips
Love the breakdown and example throws! I've been playing disc golf for 15 years but just recently started diving deeper into it, looking into proper technique and how to really improve your game. I realized that I was probably not doing myself any service throwing only distance drivers and putters 😅 Definitely looking at picking one or two of these up for spring, leaning Hex.
Love your content, been here before 2k. Congrats on 6k.
Hex is easily my favorite disc in my bag! Also, you keep liking my favorite discs that are in my bag lol love my Berg and my Hexes! Next favorite disc for me is my Star TL3. It flies like a Hex, but further.
I actually had the same independent thought about Though Space beating in fast. I had only hit a few trees (5-7 range) and noticed it started to turn just about every throw where out the box it help every release angle consistently. Didn't know that was even a theory that was being discussed. Still bag the pathfinder because it feels great and still goes really straight.
.Nice video! Enjoyed the 3 way battle.
I've noticed the ESP and Tour Series ESP swirl this year all came out kind of slick. Was kind of upset about it but after playing a handful of rounds they break in really well. Buzzz SS ESP swirl are my favorite. I didn't like Buzzz for quite a long time, now they're some of my favorite discs
The Reactor is definitely the closer Mold to the Buzz, but a great video nonetheless! Neutron Reactor has been my favorite midrange for the last 2 years and it’s that perfect blend of pushing turn and stable finish
I've been making the rounds testing out different straight midranges lately and the hex really stood out. I found it wants to fly like a frozen rope, and it's surprisingly torque resistant, which is great for players like me who prefer not to power down.
You're slaying it bro. Keep it up!
I love the buzzz, I don't want glidy in a midrange, I want it to predictably get down and sit and the buzzz is clutch for that. I use the z glo flx buzzz and love that plastic
You shipped my Felon! So hyped to support your content!
Dude that hex is gorgeous! Just found your channel because the title of this video grabbed my attention. Loving it so far
I think you should try o midrange battle with your truth lineup vs the hex, a neutron reactor which is one tick more stable, and an eclipse glow reactor which is one more tick again. I swapped the glow reactor for a pyro in my bag cause I wanted more stability for that slot so that's also an option but that starts to move beyond truths into beat up justice territory
I dig the Alfa Discs Apollo, the Addax is sick thou too. Like you said, preference counts🤙🤙
I feel as you might have used the hex wrong. Looking for a fade.... nope not much of one. Matrix... fades. Love the videos. Keep it up! Love the gyro kick!
I like that you are using graphics to showcase your lines. Whether on TV or a phone it's difficult to see the path and disc in flight. Your editing ethics are outstanding. Very innovative and entertaining.
Thank you very much!
Hex is just sooo smooth out of the fingers. It kind of reminds me of the Loft and it's rounded edge
agreed that's the first thing I noticed once I threw it .. comes out so clean compared to my buzzz
I have three Hex in the bag and use it for my fairway driver and approach almost exclusively. They go straight for this 62 year old disc golfer it is awesome for my arm speed for sure and they even fly in a head wind!!!
I bag a fission hex and a glow hex. I did get a lizottle but decided to keep it for the collection instead
I switched to the Hex from the Buzzz and never looked back. I can forehand the Hex much better than the Buzzz, and the Hex feels better in the hand, both shape and plastic.
Good test! In my experience, the Pathfinder is dead straight, like Glitch straight, while the Hex tends to slowly ride whatever angle you give it with a nice finish. I actually bag both, the Lizottle Hex and Pathfinder, since I find they fly different enough. The eclipse plastic definitely makes the Hex a tad more overstable like the Buzzz.
Keep it up bro! Would love to see review of the new supreme escape against copycats.
Love the Hex! My favorite mid by far.
I know you prefer overstable, but have you tried an RPM piwakawaka? It's like a faster Tui and has crazy glide. Would love to see you try one in a comparison vid!!
I would have a kid with the hex if I could
I have tried all 3 of these molds, and I bag the Pathfinder. I loved how it felt in my hand from the first throw. And it gave me the most distance out of the 3. That's coming from an old dude with no arm speed.
i've thrown all the popular mids... the hex made me double-take. then i handed to it to my friends to make sure i wasn't imagining it. it goes far and straight and can handle a surprising amount of power. straight as a putter, far as a fairway.
MVP has some SOLID molds.
@@cdg101292 I love my Hex, Reactor, and Envy but I've tried alpt of their drivers and haven't liked any of them yet
@@TyCampbellTX Try a Catalyst sometime. If you find the right weight for you, they absolutely bomb on a full S-Curve when thrown flat. Very workable for long distance.
Just got a HEX and it has easily become my favorite midrange. Just feels good in the hand and is super versatile
Mindbender lessgo! Grats on 6k!
I ve been using a Buzz on and off for years. I try and replace it but it always ends back up in my bag...very dependable.
I haven't thrown the pathfinder at all but as far as hex vs buzz but I think that your spot on with how they fly compared to each other
Beat in Reactor > Hex. Flies the same but fills my hand better.
Also Hex has a wider rim than the Buzzz, so it should have more distance potential. It's less so that it has more glide/gyro, and definitely the wider rim.
I dont have any experience with the pathfinder, but I throw hexes and my friend throws buzzzes. Buzzz seems a bit more stable and the rim does feel sharper and maybe a tad bit deeper.
You should try the uv reactive tuff buzzz from foundation disc golf. It feels a lot better then the esp buzzz. A really cool disc.
Throws great shots with the Buzzz..."I would throw either of these two, but not the buzzz" lol. I hear you. I've always thrown the buzzz really well (especially eliteZ), but there's something about the feel of it that I prefer other mids. I currently throw a Chameleon Core in that slot. Maybe a little more understable than the buzzz, but I don't have an understable mid in my bag. I'm thinking the core would be closer to the flight of that TSA disc
Love the Gateway shirt! Gotta check out some of their plastic!!
I love the hex, right now I bag the paradox, uplink, and hex. Oh by the way I just got my 2 inner cores from trash panda in today and am loving them.
I would love to see you testing out the Halloween editions buzz instead of the esp . My opinion less stable then the esp just holds the line forever
- Halloween buzz lover
The only 2 mids I bag consistently are my 167 gram neutron hex, and 175 gram eclipse reactor.
My aura pathfinder is my go to mid. Theres no question of if its going to turn over or not with the wind and is really fast for a speed 5. My ethos pathfinder is crazy. I can crank my full power on it and can easily smash it 110 meters with a beautiful s-shot shape.
go to flounders on pensacola beach in gulf breeze. i lived there for awhile flounders is a awesome restaurant
If your looking to get rid of the buzz let me know, I love mine and want a second. Thanks!! Love the content!
I bag a hex and a twenty year old buzz. Don't have a pathfinder, but I absolutely love the tsa discs I have.
The Hex is a go to disc for me! I bag two (just in case).
Need to try the element by gateway and see how they compare to all those
Hex is definitely a great midrange! You should do a review on the Innova jay, I haven’t seen any reviews on it yet on CZcams and compare it to a prodigy m4.
I have a Hex and a Buzz in my bag (cart actually, I'm old) and I find myself throwing the Hex a LOT more, unless it is a headwind, then for some reason I trust the Buzz more.
Not sure if it's the discs that you have or how you are throwing them, but I've thrown the Hex and the Pathfinder a lot. The Aura Pathfinder (across multiple discs) is definitely more stable than the Hex overall. I no longer throw buzzes.
That Hex Color combo is ideal.
I also recommend a Latitude 64 Claymore I have one in Opto that I really like. I just prefer the Hex and Buzzz SS over it. But the Claymore is great.
Got my first ace with a hex today. Only a 171 foot basket but extremely satisfied none the less. Awesome disc
Congrats!
@@BodanzaDiscGolf thanks
Funny I'm actually testing these 3 out for my mid spot! But idk what hex or pathfinder you're throwing because my hex is Flippy and hex is more overstable. Buzz flies exactly like you said though!
I’m a buzzz guy. A Paige Pierce tour series buzzz was my first ever disc and it has never left the bag. I will say, although I like ESP plastic more than Z line in general, I like Z better for the buzzz
I mainly use the Hex for forehand mid shots.
I think thoughtspace is trying to do what discraft is really good at. The different plastics have different stability levels.
The reactor is the king of the Gyro midrange line up...but the Hex is making a claim! Would be cool to see you try some Fission Plastic!
Pathfinder is my favorite midrange I have I'll have to try those others
The roc3 in dx plastic is by far the best mid range in my opinion I have tried sooo many mids and none compare to the roc3 in control.. it is the only dx plastic disc I use but it is my most dependable disc
Hex! I absolutely loved the Buzzz starting out, but now I prefer the Hex every time
Inchin’ your way to 10K!!
I feel like you would probably enjoy the buzz more if you took the time to clean off the flashing the way we've talked about and if you threw it a little more, it's reliability in terms of its stability fits with everything that i've heard you talk about and granted you don't like it. I'm not here to convince you otherwise, but I'm just saying in general it lines up a lot with a lot of other things that you've talked about and that'll be your preferences and that sharpness and the way it feels in your hand does get better when you take the time to dress it
Your videos are the best 😂
Are you coming out to Gainesville Fl still even if you don’t get off the wait list for the CHO?
I'm not, we're heading toward NOLA right now, and then will come back through that area maybe late december or jan
@@BodanzaDiscGolf heard that be safe my brother
You need to tryout Wickham park in Melbourne Florida great place to throw
I think the Aura plastic from toughtspace is the least stable. When Ethereal and Ethos is more stable. Even on the construct it has -2 in the aura plastic instead of its normal -1
I dig the Wizard shirt, you should definitely check out their plastic. SSS Wizards are my favorite. Throw, putt or turbo, they do it all.
shirt came with a shipment of plastic, video coming soon ish lol! I have a lot in the works
Ah not a Fission Hex. Fission Hex is amazing. . MVP has some of the best midranges like the Pryo, Reactor, Uplink, and Paradox as well. Also, MVP makes the molds for Mint and TSA. If you want more stable, Reactor is the way to go.
Bodanza upload when it said 1 min upload with one view? frick yes!
M4 in 400G plastic is also good
Those P. McBeth Buzzz's definitely tend to be on the more stable side. They throw more like a Roc3 imo
Hex is a great disc, great feel but the Mind Bender has replaced the hex in my bag.
For sure Buzzz has a tad more stability than the Hex and also has a more blunt nose which is why it doesn't glide as much. This makes it easier to control for the giant arms tho. I throw an Emac Truth but really love the Hex as well
stop by mobile and try the admiral and play around this weekend
I love the Hex
Day 1 of asking you to try the Streamline Echo
Aahhh fack I'm 6 months behind. ... try the Streamline Echo!
I bag 2 buzzz’s and an OS and SS buzzz
Hex is my favorite disc in my bag.
Buzzz-Z is a -1 1, whereas a Buzzz-bigZ is a 0 1 for sure. I've never tried the one you're throwing, but I get way more distance with a Pteranodon than a Buzzz. Update: bought a Pathfinder, and that disc is amazing. Lost the Pteranodon, seIIing both Buzzzes.
Pathfinder is my go to for any midrange shot from 100-300ft
Tested lat64 trust? I throw mids to 350 max that's a really straight mid for me.
I’ve played that course 2x. In the summer; a million mosquitoes, but still fun. Yeah, gulf breeze!
MVP Reactor FTW!
Bro I live in Pensacola holy crap
Im jealous you're wearing shorts...I live in Indiana and its been snowing😔
Dga rift is so awesome
Love the hex
Nice wizard shirt.
I used to throw the buzzz before i found the Prodiscus midari.
Hex is great, but when its beat in it will be flippy on forehand. I will try to beat in the Reactor and hopefully it will fly as a new Hex.
You've got friends in KC? Hope to catch you at a course sometime if you're ever strolling through! I'll turn you on to more MVP ;)
Also: as others have said, a hex / reactor combo is fantastic. I'm not a buzzz guy either. The hex will beat in to a fantastic flip to slight turn disc. The reactor definitely has more bite, but does not sacrifice much glide at all, and so when you do beat said hex in, you'll love having that reactor there as the slightly beefier compliment. I throw the hex for any midrange I'm not crazy concerned about having to end up to the left with (RHBH). But still, as you've seen, fresh hexes will still fight out.
Neutron Soft Hex will beat in to be VERY straight. If you want one that will continue to be stable, even after it's beat in, try the eclipse glow plastic. I bag both now, since they fly differently.
Where do you get a neutron soft hex? Or even a neutron hex?
Aura plastic is usually not as stable as ethos or ethereal. And it’s 173g. Pathfinder is noticeably more stable than my hex. Mine is a max weight ethereal and it’s little to no turn and a solid 1 to 1.5 fade when new
I have never thrown Pathfinder so I can't comment on that. Buzzzes I have thrown for almost 20 years, but I don't bag it anymore. Hex used to be in my bag when it came out.
In generally Buzzz is more stable than Hex. My MVP' Reactor is closer to Buzzz than Hex. There are a lot of similar midranges. Royal line Trust would be a very good option, if you like Buzzz's stability and want tackier and better plastic.
I know many who have replaced their Buzzz with Trust.
1-3 grams in weight has absolutely no impact in stability.
You still have a bb6? That thing is great
I love my Pathfinder!
The neutron hex flies less farther than the glow Hex from space race events. I was amazed when they went 40' farther than the neutron plastic
Ahhh!…Nice to know! I’m playing in a Space Race next Saturday night after Thanksgiving. I’m stoked! I presume that it’s a little more stable in the Eclipse 2.0 as well??
@@dalereinhold640 yes. Good luck to ya

If my buzzz didn’t make the shot happen it wasn’t the buzzz. It’s the way i threw the buzzz or I threw the wrong iteration of buzzz. That’s a really important lesson. At some point you just need to commit to 8-10 molds and build the way you play and cycle around those molds. It is funny to watch you kids play the “ find the magic disc game”
