I am a Simon fan and a Discmaniac, but I still think the Pathfinder is the best midrange I have thrown!
Shout out to Nate Turner, his video sent me here. You two should do a collaboration.
Looking forward to trying out the Hex in general 😅 Winter can’t end soon enough!
I bag both, the Lizottl Hex is a bit more stable than the Neutron one for me. Love them both!
Dude, the Lizottle is much more stable. Literally every throw 😂
O dang! I’m in St. Petersburg for the Indycar Race right now. Didn’t bring any discs with though.
I have a couple of lizzotl's they fly straight as an arrow. It is my new laser disc. Has a ton of glide. I really like it
I love Bill Frederick Park! I had the chance to play both courses in December last year; so worth the entry fee to get in. As an NC native whose home course is Diavolo and general spoiled by great courses, BFP's OG and T2 layouts stand up to the best of them. So cool to see you play it; your game is improving so much, keep up the good work!
ah Bill Frederick Park is so nice, played on vacation one year. I hope to go back and play the other course.
Definitely felt the same - with the Lizottl being exactly the same as my neutron hex’s. Typically MVP glow plastic increases the stability, but not so much for me this time around - nice happy surprise!
I have a fission hex and now the glow. The glow is definitely more stable then my fission but I can imagine the glow doesn't throw much different then the regular neutron. My two hexs compliment each other very well.
glad you played this course on the channel! i play there almost every weekend
definittly the best couses in CF
The languageI am hearing from you (dislike everything in your bag, inconsistent throwing, etc) is quite familiar to me but in a different arena. As a former professional classical musician, this sort of mind set plagues many many musicians prior to important auditions or contests, especially if they are coming off of a “form change” or are in the process of drilling down on a problem they want to fix in their technique. In my case (saxophonist) I would begin the hunt for the Goldilocks solution in different mouthpieces, different reeds, etc, going round and round doing pros and cons and dealing with analysis paralysis for weeks and months. Inevitably I would return (eventually) to the old reliable set up.
I hear a lot of the same tones and frustrations from you. Everyone has their own way of working through such quagmires but it is important not to lose sight of your end goal and let the momentary frustration sap your motivation. I know the videos are an important part of making a living for you and the content does matter, but I would humbly suggest to put your form change first and get those bugs ironed out.
Get rid of the arbitrary “must beat par” standard on your disc trials and comparisons. If you’re gonna give away a disc, then give away a disc. Setting a goalpost, especially with discs you are unfamiliar with, puts up a mental hurdle that prevents you from objectively evaluating a particular disc for use, and makes old habits too easy to slip back into.
If you do a round focusing 100% on your application of form rather than beating par or nailing every shot and hitting every gap, you may throw even with discA and +3 with discB, and you may realize that discB, despite resulting in a higher score, has more to offer you in the long term. Plus it will allow you to actually work on your form while on the course rather than 2 steps forward 1 step back between fieldwork and content creation.
Lot of great advice in your post.
Lol @ "the squat of despair"! Sometimes I also just turn my entire body away in disgust for a second before turning back because I need to see where it landed so I don't spend 20 minutes searching for it.
Love the stamp on it!
I have the reactor, and reactor in glow plastic the glow is much more stable as well. I love the reactor, and have a hex on the way to try out,
Welcome to Denver! You'll need to re-work your bag again to deal with the elevation I bet, lol. See you out on the courses!
I bought the Lizottle from OTB and it had the weight imprint on it. The disc is a straight up meat hook with no turn and like 5 fade. I can't even throw the thing without hating it.
I went to my local shop and felt a Lizottle there, and it was a bit more flexy and decided to give it a try as a backup (in case they don't make any more). The new one had a sticker and no imprint, so not sure if the sticker one is leftover from a previous run and the imprint is the new run - but the new one flies like a buzz for me and is very much fun to use. They are night and day different so I wonder if anyone can fill me in on which run is newer/better and how theirs fly. My consistent max is around 275-300ish. I have thrown a tern 390 before but am mostly using mids and putters to work on my form.
My son and I have weight imprinted Hexes from OTB and they are perfect straight with the nice stable fade, a little less than the Pyro. The Eclipse will be a little more stable than Neutron and a lot more than Fission, From what I have seen, it flies like a Neutron Reactor.
It's not a rum thing. It's that one disc. Unless there were some other factors in the throw, every lizottle I've seen is Lazer straight with a bit of bite on the end.
Saw that clip of you at WW in KC - I'm 5 mins from that course! you have a vid coming out soon there?
Awesome, I remember playing disc golf when I lived in Japan
Would love to get a round in when you come to Denver!
Also keep it up man, your killen it out here 🤘🤘
And congrats on the move 🎉
Do a review on the artic fang putters by disc mania. Or if you’re ever out in Virginia try filming a review on Bennett’s creek in Suffolk. Been trying to find someone who has a CZcams to do a review on a local course and no one will lol but love the channel and great content. Try a blue or red Simon hex alittle more floppy than purple. Purple is stable as af
That blue and orange hex color way is sweet!
Bill Frederick! Nice
i was just at this course in January on a trip for my birthday!
Try the new glow Pathfinder from thoughtspace and compare it to yours
Can you review the echo star destroyer? Innova hasn’t had that plastic in a while and it looks like they are starting to produce it again. Seems like a cool disc 🤷♂️
For me the Lizottle isn't really much different in terms of overall stability, it just gives me a bit more consistent finish whereas the Fission can give me a slight long turnover all way to the ground and the Neutron is somewhere in between the two. I'd definitely recommend the Glow version over the others to a beginner whereas Fission is made for wizardry if you have touch and a clean form.
I will say i have an eclipse 2.0 hex a fission hex and a lizottle hex. Both the lizottle and elcipse 2.0 are identical and a tad bit more stable. I took the lizottle out of my bag just becauae id rather beat up the normal stamped eclipse 2.0 hex
I'm loving the Lizottle. Already aced with it on my second round throwing it!
Lizottle is so good. Love the Fission Hex for dead straight shots. Bag both
Can't find a fission hex
I bag both also
I also bag a glow and fission.
Same here. Pyro, glow and fission hex & a soft neutron uplink round out my mids. Both are very new, so interested to see how they beat in.
Fission hex 166 gram disc is awesome I bag it for my straight disc I'm probably going to try the lizote hex disc
definetly check out a fission reactor!
Dude I got the same shirt. They clean up great without staining.
More elevator hip hop in your videos please 😊
im focusing on throwing/driving on a straight level plane no swooping or pulling from high to low not even slightly etc..
I saw a clip of you playing at Water Works in KC. Which video was that from? Home course!
wondering the same cant find the video
it's coming soon
Literally all i carry for mids is a prism pyro, glow hex, fission hex, and an uplink. Covers the entire fairway with the same swing.
I got to play at that course on my Honeymoon! It’s a pretty nice course!
When did you come to KC? Noticed the waterworks Hole 2 when you mentioned flippy hoodies at 6:05.
on the way to denver, video coming soon
@@BodanzaDiscGolf that’s awesome, I work at Ducks Flying Discs across the street from there. It’s definitely a hike of a course!
Emac Truth bagger here, and I'd say the Lizotle is just a stable as a new Emac Truth, or at least very close. I hope it stays this way for a while
Always hungry! xD I guess you mash in the work before lunch and it often takes a tad longer than planned :P You should really produce something that you bring to eat, low carb high protein and some of salt... sounds like some jerkey should be made in the van? ;)
personally i really like the roc3 for the stable-overstable mid slot 7:41 . bought a brand new star one and its money out the box
Roc3 is an overstable mid, these are both stable mids
@@njott1021 I wasn't comparing a roc3 to the hex, in my timestamp he was talking about a more overstable mid to pair with a hex type disc. But nice dunk dude you showed me
@@user-rn8sy7kj1h Pyro is my money overstable mid too, never tried the roc3. Absolutely love that pyro for forehand approach flicks. It's also the first disc I ever bought so I'm probably bias.
@@tkunzy3707 I've thrown the Roc3 and Pyro and in my experience the Pyro is a little more stable, and even more stable is the Deflector. I've also added the RocX3 in Champ plastic for even a little more beef than the Roc3. All the discs I list here are great though.
Got 2 Hoodie's with your Code.
I hope your 4th video at BFP is on the Turkinator.
Try the axiom wrath
What mic are you using? Looks like its attached to your shirt using a magent?
it's in the description!
My lizottle turns and i love it
More stable Hex - you want a Pathfinder! Revisit the Pathfinder, I think you'll change your mind on it.
You have to remember Colorado is closer to the sun than everywhere else. It still gets hot, but it's pretty consistent. Every season is pretty set and stone.
fun times, good quick vid, I like my MD1, and Mind Bender, Team DM 4 Life Baby!!!
Those are some rude baskets !
u b racing through this round
Your left leg is 2x your right leg, just from putting🤣🤣
The baskets are laughing at you
Do you what area of Denver you’re planning to move?
west side
Hi
You need a skulboy stamp Hex pssch lame
❤ 1s 😂
Someone’s gotta explain the “Form changes, drink responsibly” thing to me🙃
Gotta drink everytime he says form changes.
@@lilslick72591 gotcha, in that case I’d be hammered lmao
@@_anthonyf Sips, not shots, Friend.
Ok first the lizottle is more stable . 2nd would you finish your add a lot faster the you took like 3 holes to do your add get on with the ad bro
foot fault. I typically wear XL and found the flippy jerseys to run a way too large and had to go with L but the hoodies are unisex and fit more true to size.
I haven't been able to throw a disc outside for over 2 weeks because it has been snowing and windy almost every day. I forgot what 50 degrees feels like been 4+ months since the last 50 degree day. Wearing hoodies is overrated
First 😅
flippy is overpriced
Have you worn any of there stuff to really confirm, or is it just out of your price range, period?
I've owned a hex for about a year and they are pretty much identical there is literally no difference..only the difference of your release
