    Crave is hands down my favorite disc ever. I have a 149g fission plastic crave.

    Crave is a great controlable disc, I can throw 350 consistently and it fits my arm speed well

    You should compare a Fission Crave to a Fission Rhythm. On most of my Fission discs the lighter the weight, the more stable they are. Heavier weights tend to fly less stable especially when beat in.

    I actively searxch lightweight. Being 58yr old female they suit me and make up most of my bag. I just am grateful for trilogy and MVP/Axiom for doing a good range of lightweights. If you get the chance to throw a 161g (ish) Insanity give it a try. I have it in plasma and it outdoes my air Jade easily. And even though a speed 9 the rim does not feel overly deep or wide

    Love the full weight rhythm. Quickly became my favorite disc in the bag a couple of months ago. Highly recommend

    The old proton craves had a little dome. Mine had sparkles in the flight plate.

  • @cesarescalante11

    I throw both a Fission (stable) and Proton (understable) Crave at 164g. They actually fly too far and straight (turn and fade varies some, but I can throw them to the same spot) so I got a 160g Fission Volt to go SHORTER and be way beefier. If my Saints get too beaten up, I could see going Rhythm instead of Insanity in the straightish 9 speed slot.

    Been loving the Crave since I got one last year for the 1st time. I bag that exact combo of plastics in Craves right now, both 157. Haven't tried the rhythm yet but it does seem very appealing. Great content as always, thank you!

    4:22 "with a little bit more dome so it's more stable"... I'm thinking it would have more glide and be a bit _less_ stable

    Thanks for the review.. Flies like my Fission Volt with just a tab more flip. Think I will check out the Fission Fireball then as there is some overlap with the Volt.

    I wonder how they compare with the trance
    Also the newer runs of proton craves have a little more dome and stability compared to roughly a year ago, especially the swirly rims with the weight embossed on the back

    You really need to throw the Centurion by Infinite Discs into the mix. A super straight flying 7 speed. I can get 320 out of it, with very little fade at the end.

  • @bsmithhammer
    @bsmithhammer Před 10 měsíci +1

    In my experience, MVP discs tend to be a bit more overstable than their ratings imply, which is another reason to go a little lighter on weight. I'm throwing a lot of MVP/Axiom discs that are in the mid-160s now, and really liking how they fly. The Rhythm is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

    what weight is that rythm?
    i got a 174 fission when i lost my neutron rythm, i hadnt thrown it that much and it was quite flippy so i was hoping the max weight fission would be a little more stable, but it seems like theyre a lot more stable?

      Fission is weird - only plastic where the lightweight ones are sometimes more stable actually. No idea why.

    • @keenanwolf5416
      @keenanwolf5416 Před 10 měsíci

      @@chuckwalla123flight plate is identical regardless of weight on fission. All the weight variance is in the overmold. I’m assuming that’s why fission is such a funny plastic to try and find the right weight for.

  • @KeiAiEm
    @KeiAiEm Před 9 měsíci

    If you are comparing discs and plastics you should have them in the same weight...otherwise the weight might be the difference in flight and distance.

      There are exceptions to the rule, but most of the time you’re right!
      I once had a super flat hades that was unbelievably beefy. Your average semi-domey hades is quite flippy, but when you get to pop top hades they’re quite beefy once again. But not as beefy as the flat ones.

  • @felixmaxkrull
    @felixmaxkrull Před 8 měsíci

    Remember that mvp discs use same faceplates for all of their discs and then the weight is added to the over mold. So with fission disc you’re going to have extremely light weight face plate and then very weighty over mold which inherently makes a disc more stable
