    Regarding the connection between the cat pipe and Corsa pipe, they expect you to use the stock clamp, which is a good clamp and is mostly sealed, but there is just too much gap between the two pipes. My 2014 Camaro with the same headers and catback just worked itself loose at this junction last night and I think I’m going to go your route for the fix.

      sorry to hear that with your issue. this way has been working good since install. no adjustments or anything needed. car was even driven to NH from FL.

      O’reilly sells a 2.5” OD - 2.5” ID adapter that’s roughly ~6” in length, which should fit perfectly. I ended up using u-clamps on the pipe extensions.
      The heat cycling on the new pipe extensions did cause the metal to warp a bit, so I had to re-tighten the clamps after, just to properly seal everything together and prevent leaks.

    • @Justinarm25
      @Justinarm25 Před 6 měsíci

      @@isnowyazn that’s actually a good solution if you want to avoid cutting and welding (which I do). Only thing I would add is to treat the adapter pipe with some kind of heat resistant paint since it is not stainless. Good idea for sure.

    How can this be a corsa sport exhaust if it’s a 3in exhaust? Corsa extreme is the only exhaust for the Camaro that comes in 3in. I’m very confused.

      yeah it was tuned.

    • @isnowyazn
      @isnowyazn Před 7 měsíci +1

      Not necessarily, since the EPA doesn’t allow for emissions tampering anymore. All tuning software is now locked out, unless you somehow get some pricey standalone ECU setup, which you’r have to find a private, custom tuner for that stuff as well…
      Nothing wrong with running catless long tubes untuned or leaving the car tuned, but with the O2 CEL on, due to the cat delete. It shouldn’t affect anything specific, other than the annoying CEL, really.
      There are ways around it, such as O2 sensor non-foulers and “simulators”. Most tuners will only tune with cats in or with no active O2 CEL (assumption of having no cats). And then again, they can probably only do so much, with the new emissions restrictions in place….

    • @jimmyfreeze3782
      @jimmyfreeze3782 Před 6 měsíci

      No. The CEL will detune the car bigtime since as ecm will always refer to the low octane base table for timing advance. Plus the COT enrichment NEEDS to be disabled or at least adjusted to match your PE enrichment or raise the temp thresholds the max. The list goes on. Find a good tuner and do it right. @@isnowyazn

    • @isnowyazn
      @isnowyazn Před 6 měsíci +1

      @@jimmyfreeze3782 But like I said, without a standalone unit, how are you going to tune that out? Is there something possible to do, even with the O2 sensor CEL on? Most of the handheld tuning platforms have all force updated their software. And as far as I’m concerned, most GM handheld flash tuners don’t even come with the ability to turn off/alter emissions. That’s definitely not doable by any means, as far as non-standalone ECU tuning options…
      Plus, wouldn’t the tuner just refuse to tune for you at that point, esp if you’re e-tuning, since it’s assumed that you don’t have cats (catless) or are running something not too emissions friendly (sub-200 cell high flow cats)?
      People like Jannetty Racing and DiabLew that I used to go to for online tuning back in the day, have restricted their tuning basis so far, there’s pretty much almost nothing I can do. Like I said, I can either get a setup that will “fool” the O2 CEL, or I can stick to my stock two-piece exhaust manifold, or somehow keep a high flow catted downpipe that won’t trip the O2 sensor CEL’s.

    • @jimmyfreeze3782
      @jimmyfreeze3782 Před 6 měsíci +1

      As far as the camaro in this video, turning off/altering emissions to get rid of the downstream o2 CEL is not needed. Cats were installed, just add bungs after the cats and put the sensors back in...I'm surprised that wasn't done when the 3" was welded. From this point, proper tuning can be done for about the same cost as a handheld generic tuner. Weld another bung near one of the upstream o2 sensors and install a good wideband sensor...AEM is good. Next, get a HP Tuners MPVI3 and find a good tuner or download the software and tune it yourself. If the car is offroad only, HP Tuners does allow tuning for emissions, but ONLY for race/off road applications. @@isnowyazn
